And another head-banging Mitch McConnell moment

Oh, no. Not again. I need to wear a safety helmet to cover the Republican incompetents trying to muster up a response to the Obama Generational Theft Act of 2009.

Mitch McConnell, if you are not going to be able to stop this disaster, please just shut up. Reader Mitch F. e-mails that McConnell’s just given us another head-banging moment (the first one from this week is here):

Mitch McConnell was just on Fox already indicating that all but 2 states are going to get bailed out by the feds. But don’t worry, the money will be spent “judiciously” according to McConnell, as it has with the other stimulus plans the feds have implemented so far. He actually said that.

This crap has gone so far now that it really doesn’t matter anymore. I’m going to take care of my family, business, friends, and community as best I can from now on and I really don’t even care about anything these politicians say anymore. They’re now completely irrelevant from my point of view.

You know what would almost overnight put this country back on the right track? If even a small but healthy percentage of small business owners such as myself banded together and told the local, state, and federal governments that we are no longer going to play tax collector for them, pay their fees, permits, etc., we could bring them to their knees and force “real” change in this society. It might get to that sooner than later here in California anyway. There’s already talk around business organizations and associations to send IOU’s to Sacramento since they seem to think those are ok. I’m seriously considering paying my employees directly and refusing to collect payroll taxes to see what happens. Who knows, maybe I’ll end up in the news and it will start some momentum. They can’t put us all in the pokey, especially since those are also broke and have no room left!!!

Make him stop.

In addition to the tax revolt, there’s a need for a powerful campaign of ridicule directed at anyone who thinks that trillion dollar deficits are going to make the economy stronger.

Conservatives are never ever ever going to have a voice in our government until they change it by force. Not necessarily armed force, but a collective, meaningful, unified action involving all remaining rational Americans. For example, if all Conservatives and their businesses stopped paying taxes… there’s no way the government could put a hundred million people in jail. See what I mean? By ourselves, we can’t get anything done, but if we work in concert with one another, we can be every bit as effective and subversive as the Democrats and RINOs are.

However, I agree with your assessment that there is great opportunity in such times. I really hope I am one of the prepared ones. I also think the founding traditions of the USA are solid. They are hidden under a whole lot of rubble, but the foundation is still there. If there are enough of us, we can rebuild the “shining city on the hill”. (Corny, but I like it.)
