Obama promises to work weekends to pass Generational Theft Act

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 8, 2009 11:41 AM

The Wealth Redistributor-Elect just wrapped up his fear-mongering speech on behalf of the Generational Theft Act of 2009.

He promised “bold,” “sweeping” and “dramatic” action, including giving up his weekends to work America into an even bigger spending abyss.

Wonder if he’ll give up his gym time? Then we’ll know he’s really serious.

The most galling line came near the end when he exhorted the public to get behind his growth-stifling agenda in order to save our future from “dire consequences.” We need to spend a trillion dollars on “green jobs” and bloated union pork projects “for the children.”

For the children.

The man has chutzpah.

Commenter flmom: “What he meant to say is working Americans will be spending their weekends toiling to pay for this spending abyss.”

I dont know if i’d say its pure evil…i mean, my grandparents that i love very much, who are the most giving and loving people fate ever put in existance…are democratic liberals. Why, i have no idea, and i’ve really tried to figure it out. And they’re christians, in church every sunday, the whole 9.

    Excluding them…

The rest of the ones i usually take up discussion and argument with honestly believe things like what was posted earlier. On some level, I want to say its woeful ignorance of common sense issues (spend less than you take in, for example). The fact people think that you can just throw money at a problem, and it will go away…has been proven wrong time and time again. Legitimately, there are people who think taking from the “rich” and giving to the “poor” is the best way to be. But I have a very John Smith way of looking at things. “If you don’t work, you don’t eat.” The idea is simple…work for what you have. Taking something from me and giving it to someone else who either doesnt deserve it, or doesn’t earn it, seems fundamentally wrong.

I will exclude, however, those who cannot do for themselves. The elderly, the infirmed, and so on…we -should- take care of those who are -unable- to do so on their own. And i’m absolutely happy to do so.

But for the rest of the lot…i say get off your rear end, and make your own way in the world.

actually thats in the bible…tell your grandparents to check out…

    2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.”

    1 Timothy 5:8
If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

and you know the bible doesn’t say: unless you’re old, sick, a minority, a ‘victim’ of racism, sexism, bigotry, etc…

thats what the family is for, but the government has taken the place of the family, and the father, to the detriment of us all…

I’m sorry, but I don’t see how anyone who calls themselves christian can vote for those pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, set government up as god, democrats…

I heard Obama say today that only government can get the economy moving again. My question to this economic illiterate is “how the Hell do you know that!?” Government creates nothing whatsoever.

The best solution is to eliminate the corporate income tax and capital gains taxes and then get out of the way. How many layoffs could be avoided if companies’ tax burden was eliminated?

I don’t believe this is now nor will ever be about saving the economy but is only about increasing the power of the socialist state we are becoming and its wannabe masters the Democrats.

Amen. Can’t find a lower receiver anywhere in Phoenix right now that I can find. The firearms companies have got to love this election boosting their sales through the roof to point of massive backorders. Now if they would just put out a lot more AR-15’s so I can go buy the one I have been trying to build for months now…

*Using the liberal logic of PEBO, if spending 1 trillion dollars is a good thing, than it would follow that spending 2 trillion would be even better, and spending 3 trillion would be absolutely fantastic; That’s why liberal logic is an oxymoron.
*The GOP needs to fully embrace the Fair Tax, and explain to the American people how it takes power from the politicians and places it back in our hands; Now that’s “Country First”.
*In fact, the Fair Tax greatly reduces the influence on our lives from the 4 L’s(Lawyers,Lawmakers,Lobbyists, and Lesbians); Well, 3 out of 4 ain’t bad. ;-)

This is beyond jokes or biting commentary, we are in deep trouble with this kind of government leadership.

I get the sense he views anyone or any firm in need as an extension of welfare.

He was a community organizer after all, the only (semi) legitimate job history he offers us.

This is how community organizers think so we really can’t blame him. It’s what he knows.

Who to blame are those that voted him in.

So now hard working Americans, bill paying Americans and their kids have to pay for the mistakes of those who aren’t as hard working.

No one loses, everyone gets saved no matter what mistakes were made.

    The welfare state saves all.

As much as I disliked Hillary I get a sense she would be the better leader, at least not as dangerous.
