Obama promises to work weekends to pass Generational Theft Act

The Wealth Redistributor-Elect just wrapped up his fear-mongering speech on behalf of the Generational Theft Act of 2009.
He promised “bold,” “sweeping” and “dramatic” action, including giving up his weekends to work America into an even bigger spending abyss.
Wonder if he’ll give up his gym time? Then we’ll know he’s really serious.
The most galling line came near the end when he exhorted the public to get behind his growth-stifling agenda in order to save our future from “dire consequences.” We need to spend a trillion dollars on “green jobs” and bloated union pork projects “for the children.”
For the children.
The man has chutzpah.

After hearing this insanity spew from The One, the chorus from the song “Flight to Nowhere” by Tesla is ringing in my head:
“Goin’ down,
On a flight to nowhere,
Goin’ down,
Gettin’ nowhere fast.”
I dont know if i’d say its pure evil…i mean, my grandparents that i love very much, who are the most giving and loving people fate ever put in existance…are democratic liberals. Why, i have no idea, and i’ve really tried to figure it out. And they’re christians, in church every sunday, the whole 9.
Excluding them…
The rest of the ones i usually take up discussion and argument with honestly believe things like what was posted earlier. On some level, I want to say its woeful ignorance of common sense issues (spend less than you take in, for example). The fact people think that you can just throw money at a problem, and it will go away…has been proven wrong time and time again. Legitimately, there are people who think taking from the “rich” and giving to the “poor” is the best way to be. But I have a very John Smith way of looking at things. “If you don’t work, you don’t eat.” The idea is simple…work for what you have. Taking something from me and giving it to someone else who either doesnt deserve it, or doesn’t earn it, seems fundamentally wrong.
I will exclude, however, those who cannot do for themselves. The elderly, the infirmed, and so on…we -should- take care of those who are -unable- to do so on their own. And i’m absolutely happy to do so.
But for the rest of the lot…i say get off your rear end, and make your own way in the world.
actually thats in the bible…tell your grandparents to check out…
2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.”
1 Timothy 5:8
If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
and you know the bible doesn’t say: unless you’re old, sick, a minority, a ‘victim’ of racism, sexism, bigotry, etc…
thats what the family is for, but the government has taken the place of the family, and the father, to the detriment of us all…
I’m sorry, but I don’t see how anyone who calls themselves christian can vote for those pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, set government up as god, democrats…
Popcorn Alert: Democrat Senators No Likee The One’s Tax Cuts.
Eh, i dont get into the religious aspect of things with them…i get enough of that here already
To be fair, they just dislike how republicans do things. sometimes, they have a point. but not enough for me to vote the same way they do.
But, its good to know that heathens like me are still willing to take care of business and help those who cant help themselves
BHO is still whining about having to give up his blackberry. He just doesn’t get what it means to be POTUS. When he spoke about the stimulus package today, it sounded like he was still on the campaign trail. What a disaster!
I propose we institute:
1) A mandatory Economics 101 course for all potential congressional candidates.
2) A mandatory test for potential voters to reveal their educational level in politics, economics, and first and foremost; basic literacy.
people like the ‘butterflies and ponies’ parts of the bible, they don’t like hearing the hard tough parts…like hell…but its a sign of the times…..
Elections have consequences.
Because of this guy, and the Deomorats AR-15 sales are through the roof.
Half the country was already armed, now those same individuals will be able to lay down a base of fire ALL DAY LONG.
Gives me a hard## just thinking about it.
meh. i dont wanna hijack the thread again over this. i’ve personally heard enough of it, and had my fill.
moving on.
ROFL. they do indeed, lgm, they do indeed. And the consequences coming from this one…disturbing.
Sorry, but every time I see that photo of Obambi, I think:
Man-boobs and chicken legs.
Am I the only person in the world who is completely unimpressed with hussein’s so-called “pecks”? Looks pretty saggy if you ask me.
To error is human but to really screw things up it takes a Liberal
Unfortunately, those of us who know that have to wait until the glassy eyed liberals discover that for themselves.
Look who I’m explaining this to.
So what’s your Palestinian solution, smart guy? Still waiting.
I love lgm’s little 3 and 4 word random mutterings that don’t even bring anything to the discussion. What’s next?
Breaking laws has consequences…
No soup for you…
I like pie…
I heard Obama say today that only government can get the economy moving again. My question to this economic illiterate is “how the Hell do you know that!?” Government creates nothing whatsoever.
The best solution is to eliminate the corporate income tax and capital gains taxes and then get out of the way. How many layoffs could be avoided if companies’ tax burden was eliminated?
I don’t believe this is now nor will ever be about saving the economy but is only about increasing the power of the socialist state we are becoming and its wannabe masters the Democrats.
In this case, dire consequences.
Amen. Can’t find a lower receiver anywhere in Phoenix right now that I can find. The firearms companies have got to love this election boosting their sales through the roof to point of massive backorders. Now if they would just put out a lot more AR-15’s so I can go buy the one I have been trying to build for months now…
*Using the liberal logic of PEBO, if spending 1 trillion dollars is a good thing, than it would follow that spending 2 trillion would be even better, and spending 3 trillion would be absolutely fantastic; That’s why liberal logic is an oxymoron.
*The GOP needs to fully embrace the Fair Tax, and explain to the American people how it takes power from the politicians and places it back in our hands; Now that’s “Country First”.
*In fact, the Fair Tax greatly reduces the influence on our lives from the 4 L’s(Lawyers,Lawmakers,Lobbyists, and Lesbians); Well, 3 out of 4 ain’t bad.
alaskangrizzly,
Gun Master inc. in Plano, Texas should be able to ship one to a FFL dealer for you.
Over
Green jobs, pork barrel projects, Trillion dollar deficits, hyper inflation.
No!
O-Bam-I-Am, O-Bam-I-Am,
I do not want ‘green’ jobs and ham,
(umm, pork.)
I do not want them ‘for the kids’
I don’t want auto bailout bids.
I do not want to save the ‘Times’,
Don’t turn our dollars into dimes!
Passing this will bring great grief
you intergenerational thief!
I’d sooner you stabbed me with a spork
than choke us with green jobs and pork.
Bravo, TJ!
NO ONE IS LISTENING TO US!
WE NEED TO MARCH OUR BUTTS TO THE CAPITOL AND SIT IN THE CHAMBERS AND DISRUPT BUSINESS AS USUAL.
THEY AREN’T LISTENING PEOPLE!
SCREW CALLING AND FAXING WE NEED TO MARCH, DAMN IT!
He has a blank check to do what he wants and he intends to write checks day and night……for years.
This is beyond jokes or biting commentary, we are in deep trouble with this kind of government leadership.
I get the sense he views anyone or any firm in need as an extension of welfare.
He was a community organizer after all, the only (semi) legitimate job history he offers us.
This is how community organizers think so we really can’t blame him. It’s what he knows.
Who to blame are those that voted him in.
So now hard working Americans, bill paying Americans and their kids have to pay for the mistakes of those who aren’t as hard working.
No one loses, everyone gets saved no matter what mistakes were made.
The welfare state saves all.
As much as I disliked Hillary I get a sense she would be the better leader, at least not as dangerous.
I watched the last part of the speech and did not see any spending on ‘economic growth’ just spending that does not give us a return.
We need new manufacturing and other industries to grow our economic base and increase tax flow to the treasery, THEN we can consider spending monies on bridges and green stupid.
He may have only been a community organizer-but he sure made a hell of a income from it!!!!
Wow. Has anyone thought “Bird Chest?”
And lgm is right, elections do have consequences. I just hope he and the rest of the left remember that in 2010 and 2012. I am making it a point to be ready to remind them.
Ugh, Michelle…did you have to put that picture up there? I just got done working a (way too long) day here. Sheesh.
BHO is trying to style himself as the new FDR, but the problem is that his massive proposed spending is going to bankrupt this country and bloat the size of government. Yes, lgm, elections do have consequences, and in this case they will probably be bad ones.
Just point a finger at lgm and laugh. It helps.
you can bet that congress will be working their usual schedule…so much for their 40 hour week and more vacation time in one year than the average American worker gets in 2 years….
“He has a blank check to do what he wants and he intends to write checks day and night……for years.”
And it scares the hell out of me. When enough of the population is living, in part or entirely, on “guvmint cheese”, we are done for.
