Who’s afraid of Joe the Journalist?
My syndicated column today looks at the MSM sneering over Joe Wurzelbacher’s trip to Israel sponsored by PJTV, recounts how The Fraternal Order of the Professional Journalist has squandered its own credibility, and exposes how liberal media elites have attempted to shut out conservatives from membership in the journalism club by redefining their craft based on ideological content.
Soon after I filed the column, yet another example of damaged MSM credibility surfaced in the blogosphere. LGF and Bob Owens broke the story of CNN’s broadcast of suspicious Gaza footage featured two pro-Hamas doctors engaging in medical theater of jihad — by faking a bizarre form of CPR on a Palestinian boy who “died.” CNN, which heaped derision on JTP for taking on the role of reporter, has yanked the video. More on one of the jihadi apologist zealots, Dr. Mads Gilbert, at FNC.
Since the CNN cover-up continues, I’m including the damning video clip here:
I repeat: “Who says conservatives don’t do reporting?”
More details on JTP and PJTV here and here. And Howard Mortman rounds up some MSM reax here.

Who’s afraid of Joe the Journalist?

If a community organizer can be president and a Saturday Night Live comedian can be a U.S. senator, why can’t a plumber be a reporter?
Joe Wurzelbacher, a.k.a. Joe The Plumber, is headed to Israel to interview ordinary citizens about life in the crosshairs of jihad. He’ll be filing dispatches for conservative Internet video broadcasting site, PJTV.com (to which I also contribute). Predictably, the very idea of a non-credentialed public figure attempting to “do journalism” has catty elite journalists hacking up hairballs.
CNN television anchor Kyra Phillips sneered (in her most objective and professional manner, of course): “Oh, Lord, Joe The Plumber’s got a new gig. It’s got nothing to do with the pipes, it’s got everything to do with Gaza.” After catching her breath during a commercial break, she embellished her teleprompter lines with ad-libbed contempt (something only seasoned professional journalists have experience doing, you see): “Now Joe The Plumber wants to flush out the truth as a war correspondent. I know, there are just no words.”
Still not done trashing the Toledo, Ohio citizen who had the temerity to question Barack Obama’s redistributionist policies, Phillips piled on with more derisive words: “Hey, Joe, what do you know? No, seriously, what do you know?…[H]e says he hopes to air Israelis’ views on the Gaza offensive. Lord, help us. Just want to remind you that Joe the Plumber has no journalism experience. No war zone experience either. But he thinks he’s, quote, ‘pretty well protected by God.’ So, what’s Joe been smoking, drinking?”
What’s he smoking and drinking? Clearly not the same ideological Kool-Aid and liberal fumes that you and your snob colleagues imbibe and inhale, Ms. Phillips. The CNN anchor has some nerve questioning Joe The Plumber’s journalistic credibility when her own cable news network once hired former NYPD Blue actress with zero journalism experience Andrea Thompson to sit in an anchor chair like the one Ms. Phillips occupies.
As to the media hounds now braying at the idea of hiring celebrities for the sake of publicity, which network was it that hired foul-mouthed entertainer with no anchoring experience Kathy Griffin to co-anchor its New Year’s Eve coverage? Oh, yeah: CNN. Griffin teamed up with CNN star Anderson Cooper, whose resume includes stints as a child model, fill-in host for Live with Regis and Kelly, and reality show, “The Mole.”
Who’s afraid of Joe the Journalist? Unlike Ms. Phillips, I do not begrudge anyone an unconventional path to journalism. On the Internet, conservative bloggers with full-time day jobs have done incredible investigative work without a journalism school credit to their names. (See here.) So have independent war correspondents like Michael Totten (blogger) and Michael Yon (Special Forces veteran).
Groupthink, credential fetishism, and the Sorbonne mentality have turned national newsrooms into stale echo chambers. For all its self-aggrandizing paeans to “diversity,” mainstream American journalism remains one of the most intellectually and ideologically monochrome sectors of the public square.
Territorial liberal journalism gurus have attempted to de-legitimize unorthodox practitioners of their trade by redefining “journalism” based on content. If a conservative writer breaks news harmful to their presidential pick or contrary to their world view, it’s a “hit piece,” not investigative reporting. If a conservative website interviews newsmakers or provides original legislative analysis, it’s “propaganda,” not explanatory or expository journalism. Thus, the myth that conservatives don’t “do journalism” persists. By their definition, we never can.
Joe The Plumber’s new gig is an affront to the Fraternal Order of The Professional Journalist because it underscores hard truths: An Ivy League journalism degree does not a truth-teller make. International war broadcasting experience does not a truth-seeker make. Look at Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post fabulist Janet Cooke. Or New York Times fiction writer Jayson Blair. Or Boston Globe fabricators Patricia Smith and Mike Barnicle. Or former CBS News Captain Queeg Dan Rather.
Or closer to the action in Gaza, witness the veteran editors of Reuters photographer Adnan Hajj, who succeeded in peddling Photoshopped images of fake smoke billows and flares over Beirut in 2006 before bloggers blew the whistle.
Or consider the Hamas sympathizers at France 2. The international TV network was forced to apologize this week for its false story on Israel’s military operations. Independent French bloggers showed that France 2 used an old 2005 amateur video of Palestinian casualties from an accidental Hamas truck explosion and passed it off as current footage demonstrating the violence in Gaza. France 2 was the same professional media outlet that aired a bogus September 2000 report blaming the Israeli army for the shooting death of a Palestinian boy, Mohammed al-Dura.
Joe The Plumber-Turned-Reporter can’t do anymore to harm journalistic credibility than the “credible journalists” have already done.

Our economy just lost another 524,000 jobs because of the idiot you folks voted for and all you can do is fixate on an uneducated, 3 time welfare recipient.
And you people claim to love America – who are you kidding?
Hey granite.
I have been watching old chap and I’ve noticed a little softening of his liberal views. Give him a more time on this blog and let him suffer through four years of Obama. Change comes with maturity.
Way to stay on blame this on Bush too…seriously, the broken record stuff gets old.
You’re kinda boring
We DO love OUR country, nimrod. Go back to Iran so you can love your own. Jackass.
Yawn. Morning Commie!
That was directed to “ILoveMyCountry.” A misnomer if there ever was one.
ILMC does love her country. We just don’t know if her country is Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, or Zimbabwe.
It sure as heck isn’t the USA.
And none of the journalists ragging on JTP ever asked Obama a tougher question than: “Mr.
BurnsObama, your campaign seems to have the momentum of a runaway freight train. Why are you so popular?”I do like myself an intelligent man!
*bats eyes*
ILoveMyCountry
Do you love the protection from the government that our constitution provides? The constitution is our country. You may be one of the liberals that believe that document was created to give you rights. If you believe you have special rights, you need to grow up or find another country.
O RLY?
Off topic, but a true story.
A prime example of the brain trust in congress!
Stop being such a downer, ILMC, and celebrate – it’s President Nixon’s birthday!
Y RLY.
Welcome back!
This is always an amusing way of thinking. It seems to me that just the other day, someone (and I believe it was a liberal poster) adroitly pointed out that Congress sets fiscal policy and budgets while he was defending President-Elect Obama.
I would say “enlighten us as to how Pres. Bush is responsible for the entire economy and those 500,000 jobs”, but we both know that the only reason you post here is to vent your emotional tirades so that you can pat yourself on the back later for “showing those conservatives”. So, don’t bother with a response that we know you would not have given anyway.
I would ask you to define uneducated, but based on the general meme around Joe, I assume that means anyone that didn’t get a masters from an Ivy League school. That, of course, is snide to all trade workers who are just as needed in our society. If my pipes break, I won’t be calling a Harvard professor to fix them.
WRT his being a welfare recipient. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I don’t care. Don’t liberals support social or entitlement programs? Even if he did collect welfare, he strikes me as someone that tries to work when he can. If he was a “three times” recipient, that means he wasn’t just sitting on the government dole but had been laid off or could not find work at least two additional times.
Isn’t that what welfare was really intended to do? Help those that are temporarily unable to work?
Plus, the people that are fixating on him are those in the media that are mocking him for going. Are you going to slam them as well for paying attention? He is, after all, gaining more notoriety from their reporting on him.
That’s funny, but it’s not attributable to Pelosi as the joke has been around for a while and someone inserted her name.
Hilarious!
Hey DBNinKY – that was awesome – so I apologize; happy birthday R. Nixon.
I don’t know so much about his softening his position…
but, I do know that Chap doesn’t take himself so seriously and was, I believe, poking at eagle’s pompousness as much as at anyone challenging eagle (myself included).
Love your posts, granite. Try not to take Chap’s jokes so seriously. I much prefer him as a regular poster than the real trolls around here.
Besides, in a regular taste test, 99 out of 100 zombies agree that they prefer chapoutier to Ilovemycountry.
Salt,
I doubt granite and I will ever get along.
Liberals are making fun of Joey P. because he was a laughing stock during the campaign. Has he produced any “product” yet?
Was he the laughing stock? Or was it because liberals would laugh at anyone that would agree that “redistribution of wealth” sounds like a socialist principle?
How was he, himself, funny, exactly? Or is it more about the way that he was represented ad naseum by “comedians” and pundits such as Jon Stewart that you found funny?
It’s okay if you think Jon Stewart is funny, but to transfer that over to Joe as his being an imbecile or “laughing stock” shows a confusion on your part, not Joe’s.
Liberals consider all hard-working Americans who work real jobs to be laughing-stocks.
But his first name isn’t even Joe!!11eleven!
/tin foil hat off
Joe the Plumber is a laughingstock, but Al Franken, Jon Stewart, and Caroline Kennedy are serious distinguished intellectuals.
Liberal values illustrated.
Kyra Phillips in the restroom.
Don’t forget Anderson Cooper’s most important credential – he’s a Vanderbilt. Yes, for the left, being elite is what counts, right Senator Caroline? I actually don’t mind Cooper being a journalist, nor JTP. It’s not rocket science – just head to the nearest Football Factory University and see where they park the players…
The way the house lefties direct their venom at working class people really shows their true colors.
Meanwhile, another paper run by smart, professional geniuses of journalism with degrees from top schools prepares to go belly up.
(munching popcorn) Who knew that this post would devolve into a SAT whip it out contest? Still, better than anything on CNN. I like the “Common sense is for the common people” quote. That has to be true, because no acedemic elite I ever met, (and I’ve met a few) ever had an ounce of it. They sure can shuffle the paperwork around though. I’ll take the common man over the nosepickers anytime.

If the illegals can do it, why can’t Joe? Don’t hate.
30, you’re married though…so that really doesnt help me.
and lgm..they were laughing, mostly because they were all “how dare this peasant ask the Lightbringer/worker such a trivial question! ho-hum!”
But way to let the man have a chance to do it first and all…
Shhh… They’re too smart to fail so the government will give them our money to compensate for their failure. After all, we wouldn’t want to trouble the geniuses to actually produce a product the public wants.

I jest … I was really thinking of the hubby all along.
This does make me feel stupid for actually going to school for 7 years and getting two degrees. He’s got a better job than I’ll ever have.
I should have just waited and asked Barack Obama a simple question.

…and a PTA member can be governor…
I agree. But don’t hate us back for thinking it’s funny as hell that a prop for a failed campaign is apparently the best PJTV can come up with to cover one of the most tense, complex political situations in modern times. On the one hand, it’s not that big a deal. But on the other… aaaaaaaaahahahahahaha!!!!
Using liberal logic, only a “trained journalist” can interpret what is happening around them and describe it for others. So if I witness a crime, I am incapable of conveying what I heard and saw because I am not a member of the press.
If only those Bill Gates or Rush Limbaugh fellows would have finished college, they would be successes today.

Well, to be honest, in the last bit I saw by Jon Stewart on Joe (the only one I’ve seen, actually), the funny parts were the portions where Joe was questioned about Israel, what he’d be doing there, and what he’d done to prepare. They were his own words, and to be perfectly frank, he didn’t really sound like he knows what he’s doing.
JTP made an excellent point about Obama’s “wealth re-distribution” ideas during the election. . one that millions of us were thinking, and one that badly needed to be made. But that doesn’t mean he’s prepared to be a reporter/journalist. It remains to be seen how he will peform in that capacity.
As an aside (but one related to the topic), did anyone see Palin’s comments on bloggers posted on MSNBC this morning?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28573074/
“When did we start accepting as hard news sources bloggers, anonymous bloggers especially? It’s a sad state of affairs in the world of the media today, mainstream media especially, that they’re going to rely on bloggers, anonymous bloggers, for their hard news information.”
I find that question rather ironic, since a wide array of bloggers (Michelle among them) have faithfully defended her and debunked the attacks slung by the left. It’s as if she’s not really cognizant of the state of the blogosphere.
Maybe, maybe not, but you certainly do. Try not to step in it, it’s hell to get out of the carpet.
As worthless as the MSM reporters are at presenting truthful news, I don’t see anything about Joe that makes him specifically qualified to go to a war zone and report on it. Joe was a private citizen thrust into celebrity because he dared to ask a politician a tough question on camera and that politician was caught off guard and happened to give a somewhat revealing answer. Nowhere do I see any evidence that Joe would be any better at this new assignment than any random guy picked off the street.
Bill Buckley is quoted as saying that he would sooner trust running the country to the first 200 names in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard. What everyone here seems to be saying is that they would sooner trust the job of reporting to the first name on the census report than to a Columbia grad. I happen to agree, but given the option, why wouldn’t we do one better and choose someone above average rather than just settle for some random Joe?
I could possibly be interpreting her remarks too charitably, but what she says there makes sense especially in that she singles out anonymous bloggers for scorn. Because yes, it was conservative bloggers who defended her, but we wouldn’t have had to do that in the first place if the MSM didn’t treat everything they read about her on DU as gospel.
Most Bloggers aren’t a good source for hard news. For every Michelle Malkin or Michael Yon there’s got to be 10,000 guys like me who just comment on what other people have reported.
A fair point and I’m reserving judgment as to how Joe will be as a journalist, but that wasn’t really what I was addressing. lgm’s comment about Joe being a laughing stock was, at least by my reading, due to the question moment and not about this new event.
Joe might very well be a terrible reporter. We don’t know yet. However, he certainly wouldn’t be the only terrible reporter over there, but he is the one getting a heaping amount of attention due to the Obama question moment.
Ultimately, I don’t believe it matters how he performs. He could be brilliant and liberals will still hate him.
That’s probably true. But I think the opinion held by most of the people around here is that that would apply to most of the “professionals” the media fields today.
So while there’s no reason to assume Joe is going to do an outstanding job, there’s surely no reason to just dismiss him out of hand either.
Agreed. Joe’s making a trip and blogging about it. That’s it. It’s not as though there’s an expectation that his reports will become the news feeds for the MSM.
If you don’t like Joe, don’t read the blog. It’s just that simple.
The point I believe some of us are also making is that it’s not us (conservatives) making a big noise out of Joe going, it’s the media preemptively making snide comments about it that is causing the commotion. Without that, I might not have even noticed.
I wonder if JTP will be duped by the phony, staged casualty theaters staged by Hamas… like the credentialed, pedigreed, super-smart editors at CNN were.
– James Felix
I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt on this one, but I can’t. Do anonymous political bloggers even exist? I mean, there’s a degree of anonymity for those who comment on blog posts, but virtually every political blogger I’ve read has a bio on their site. It seems, to me, a shotgun blast directed at bloggers in general, with the ‘anonymous’ comment thrown in as an afterthought.
He has exposed all the hypocrites, bigots, haters and the like oozing around on the Left as well as bringing to the forefront the fact that Obama is a Socialist beyond a doubt.
And all you do us take up space and live on the afore-mentioned list. Already he is far more productive than you.
Is Kyra Phillips worried about losing her seat to Joe, or something?
Her contemptuous tirade reflects more on her lack of professionalism than on Joe’s.
My apologies for not controlling myself better.
I just had to respond to that – as I stated, immature, ignorant, arrogant – fool, who thought credentials were the be-all end-all; and who thought he was such a big deal.
Trust me, I virtually never give my history like that, except on my resume; and even then, not every item.
I am, and have always been, a firm believer in the attitude, “Sure, you went to this or that school, and have this or that degree…but, what have you done for us lately?”
My point was that someone with perseverance and hard work can do just fine, virtually regardless of where he goes to school.
The “elite” school may give a slacker a better chance at the first job, because Dad knows somebody’s aunt’s roommate’s brother in-law’s best friend’s dentist’s golf partner…, and thus has a “contact”.
But, like I said above, after a while, the boss is going to ask, “What have you done for us lately?”
Performance depends on attitude and perseverance, not on pedigree.
Again, my apologies for not controlling myself better, after reading that clown’s post.
I fully know that there is always someone else taller, stronger, smarter, better looking, faster, etc than one is.
Who is a real journalist? Well those who pretend to be journalist say us common people have no clue.
I do have an idea who is not a real journalist. Olbermann and that new guy on MSNBC (Maddow) are not journalist. Those two guys are horrible as are most on MSNBC. The majority of those with NBC, CBS, ABC and CNN are nothing more than socialist progressive mouthpieces.
This is why I get most of my NEWS from the new media and not the agenda driven old old media.
“Epic, flaming fails”

No need to apologize granite. It was a worthy response. I was just enjoying everybody joining in and comparing the sizes of their… diplomas?
Yeah, i know you were…and you say *I* ruined the fantasy? PFFT!
I dont discredit the fact this is just publicity…take a familiar face, and market it. It’s how business works.
But if you’re going to mock the man for doing this, then as its been pointed out already a few times, might wanna check with CNN about some of those videos and stories that get published by “real” journalists…that are “fake” stories.
And again, we can point to many examples of people who shouldnt be covering politics who are liberals. It’s 6 in one hand, half a dozen in the other. But i’m willing to see what he does first, before i levy my critique.
Seems fair, right?
Congrats. You found someone that agrees with you. No one doubted that.
…but is there a point as to why you shared that here? or did you just have to share the insult, because, you know, it makes such a compelling case. I wasted 15 seconds on that in good faith that I likely won’t spend again.
That’s funny…i’ve been saying the same thing about your posts since this morning too!!
Maybe i should start MY own blog now for this now. *rolls eyes*
Do you really have anything intelligent to say…you know, since its -obvious- you’re smarter than everyone here…or are you just going to keep running off at the mouth about this without a real point of your OWN?
I suppose, for your own sake because I know you’ve got a one track mind…i’ll recap.
“Blah blah blah, Obama good, blah blah Obama smarter than everyone in America, blah blah Republicans bad, blah blah blah…”
OK, so…he went to college. Do you want a cookie or something?
And lets take Frankin. Harvard grad, very nice.
I shouldnt discredit these 2 men for where they went to school. But as its been said here by myself and others, just because they went to well known schools means little in the face of the decisions they make, the policies that they try to ram down our throats, or the blatant disregard of reality they show at times.
But..other than your posts, if I want epic, flaming fails…i’ll tune into Air America Radio. Your friend Frankin’s brainchild.
Adios, nino.
I can’t wait for the MSM to ask Joe about his story. Maybe it’ll go something like this.
Henry Hill: You’re a pistol, you’re really funny. You’re really funny.
Tommy DeVito: What do you mean I’m funny?
Henry Hill: It’s funny, you know. It’s a good story, it’s funny, you’re a funny guy.
[laughs]
Tommy DeVito: what do you mean, you mean the way I talk? What?
Henry Hill: It’s just, you know. You’re just funny, it’s… funny, the way you tell the story and everything.
Tommy DeVito: [it becomes quiet] Funny how? What’s funny about it?
Anthony Stabile: Tommy no, You got it all wrong.
Tommy DeVito: Oh, oh, Anthony. He’s a big boy, he knows what he said. What did ya say? Funny how?
Henry Hill: Jus…
Tommy DeVito: What?
Henry Hill: Just… ya know… you’re funny.
Tommy DeVito: You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it’s me, I’m a little f****d up maybe, but I’m funny how, I mean funny like I’m a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I’m here to f****n’ amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?
Henry Hill: Just… you know, how you tell the story, what?
Tommy DeVito: No, no, I don’t know, you said it. How do I know? You said I’m funny. How the f**k am I funny, what the f**k is so funny about me? Tell me, tell me what’s funny!
Henry Hill: [long pause] Get the f**k out of here, Tommy!
Tommy DeVito: [everyone laughs] Ya m**********r! I almost had him, I almost had him. Ya stuttering p***k ya. Frankie, was he shaking? I wonder about you sometimes, Henry. You may fold under questioning.
Last time I checked, eagles were birds. We know what they say about bird brains…

What about Walter Duranty and his lies about how well socialism was doing in the Soviet Union?
Journalistic Integrity has been an oxymoron for some time now.
Obama, the MSM, and the Democrats have three mortal enemies-
Like three rays of bright lights-
The “Credibility Conspiracy” was forged by the Democratic leadership after 9-11 to convince America that GW Bush lacked credibility, and it worked.
The three enemies?
Reason, Intelligence, & Perceptiveness.
It is clear if any of these attributes are employed by the public that those lacking in credibility are those now in charge of our country.
Until and unless this is exposed we will continue to decline as a country.
It’s time to throw out the pretenders and get competent people to lead us against the insanity that we have now,
to take a stand.
We cannot let it stand to let Palin or JTP be railroaded, or Franken to steal the election in Minnesota as Gregoire did in Washington State 4 years ago. We can not give RINO’s an important place or voice in our party and we cannot allow the liars to define reality in our country.
Our own credibility is suffering by playing their game and it is going to kill us as a free republic if it is not reversed quickly!
All the stories that were suppressed by the medias about Obama and the corruption rampant throughout the “Left” side of the political spectrum need to be exposed and harped on just a viciously as the left does to us, and since most of their stories are embellished misrepresentations of what is reality we need to find people willing to expose each and every lie they utter.
Businesses and the innovators of this country – take the lead and quit playing both sides of the fence(which is killing you long term) before it is too late.
I would just like the rest of you to compare your GPAs to my almost c+ thank you…
Socky, do you mean make sh*t up, like that New York Times journalist, what’s his name?? Jayson Blair, who faked dozens of stories over several years. I suspect Joe The Plumber has more integrity than most of these MSM jerk offs.
Unfortunately for the pointed haired elites, Aggressive deterrence seems to be working better than happy bunny fuzzy warm kum-ba-yah diplomacy. The Arab street is wetting its pants because Israel is kicking butt and not backing down.
The media may have a liberal bias, but reality is still conservative.
Maybe Joe the Dumbass can try brain surgery next.
Ah,with witty, sophisticated repartee like that, I can see why you graduated at the top of your class at Evergreen State.
You know…you still havent answered anyone here, including myself, with anything more intelligent than stuff like this.
Way to put all of those years of college to work, you pontificating piece of liberal garbage.
You’re a waste of good elemental carbon.
Dismissed, imbecile.
I’ll believe Joe’s news reports over the so-called professionals who are nothing more than Democratic party hacks, leftists, and Hamas apologists.
Why, trying to find someone that can fix yourself?
How pathetic of GOPigs to worship a ludicrous buffoon who probably has an IQ of no more than 50. Come on, the guy is definitely illiterate with a mental age of 7 or less, and you want to send him to Israel/Palestine as a war correspondent? That shows the level of cleverness among American Conservatives. Only G W Bush can be dumber than him.
Joe had the intelligence you lack, the perceptiveness you lack, and the reason you lack.
You and some others here should admire Joe who managed to “trick” Obama(the supposed genius) into revealing his true colors, but you hate him for exposing the “socialist him”.
Joe may have been the laughing stock among a bunch of donkeys, but he was a serious threat to Obamas election chances that they took seriously.
Since Joe was so successful on managing a journalistic “scoop” that the entire hack industry refused to pursuit, I think he will excel at his new gig.
Ed, why don’t you give us a dissertation about just how you know JTP’s “Mental Age?”
He did ask a pretty good question of your hero the Zero, after all, better than the press was able to do.
Climb on back into the alps there, mountain flower.
I love it when EDELWEISS IS IN FULL CHARITABLE MODE!

Which really begs the question: what the heck is he/she doing here since Republicans are held in such low regard in his/her estimation. I know… to mock us. Must be such a wonderful existence… so, so fulfilled.
Easy now. You’re hurting Mother Gaea with all the hot air you are spewing.
Thank you for a shining example of the “tolerant and enlightened left.” Seriously, well done. Surely, it would be impossible to make up such an unhinged response. Mama must be so proud of you.
Trolls fed, the Bad News Sapper signing out.
Harsh coming from someone who has spent the last year chanting “Yes, we can” in a glassy eyed stupor.

That reminds me of this homeless woman who lives in my city. She’s a little bit touched in the head, more than a little hooked by conspiracy theory, and will “disqualify” a person who disagrees with her. . .and ignore anything further that person says. She actually goes to city hall meetings and does it on public television. It’s high-comedy really.
Not saying you have any similarity to her, just that the quote reminded me of her.
TooMuchTime said (#161):
No, cause Leo did, like, dude, a totally awesome interview & stuff.
something silly; nothing meaningful.
Now, please be quiet and go play with your dolls.
Come back to us when you’ve grown up.
I’ll challenge Parrot has landed or Edelslut to a cerebral challenge any day. Oh, and lgm…. not a problem… you all tell me where and when.
Thanks!
Michelle, Please post the youtube video of Kyra Phillips of CNN (who is such a seasoned journalist that she keeps her microphone on when she uses the bathroom) in the CNN ladies room dissing her brother and sister in law. It is priceless. Kyra’s selfabsorption is incredible in her bathroom discussion. Kyra tells a CNN employee not to worry, surely there is a man out there for her. Kyra explains how her own husband worships her. Then she says her brother is kind of a wimp whose wife bosses him around. She calls her sister in law “a control freak”. Kyra then flushes the toilet and goes back to her anchor chair, apparently unaware of her bathroom antics being broadcase nationwide. Maybe she should not be terribly embarrassed. Her ratings are so anemic that maybe ten people saw it.
The liberal “contributors” to this blog have turned it into DU2.
Really, such unreasoned, spiteful responses. Stop polluting the threads with blather already.
So, please, really impress us and let us know what these top schools are. What MBA degree do you hold? Kellogg? Sloan? Wharton? Maybe you’re a left coaster, so would it be Anderson or Stanford?
Eagle, you’re so full of cr@p your blue eyes just turned brown.
There is no way you hold multiple degrees from any schools, let alone “top” schools, or an MBA. And the only way you could have graduated at the top of your class is if the class size was 1. In which case, guess what genius? You would also have been at the bottom of your class.
Twenty years in management? Don’t make me laugh. From your consistently puerile comments on this blog, you might have breathed air for 20 years, but my guess is you’re a pimply-faced high school sophomore who fantasizes about making it with the head cheerleader.
My advice? Forget her and try to hook up with Edelweiss. Word is, she has a thing for zits.
Wow, I arrived at the party late. So, Joe wants to try his hand at reporting in the Mideast? More power to him. I challenge any liberal like lgm, eaglehascrashlanded, and Edelwuss to show how “accomplished” they are to the next generation of Americans by teaching in the public school system.
If the MSM can show footage of faked Iranian missile testings, then I’m sure Joe will have no problem showing Hamas “freedom fighters” launching rockets from schools and hospitals.
Advice to eaglehascrashlanded and Edelwuss: the more you appear to know it all the less aware you truly are of what’s actually “going on.”

LOL.
So I should believe Andy Sullivan? Yeah. Trig was Gov Palin baby and her staff did not know it?????????? sheeeeesh
the msm are insane
I think the tell is the way the eagle’s “I spent 20 years in the management of…” comment just drops off. As though in the middle of making stuff up, she suffered brain freeze.
Also odd the way a self-proclaimed socialist management genius can’t post anything more intelligent than links to dumb moonbat websites.
Kudos. That was funny.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s interview with President Clinton was successful because that have a few things in common. DiCaprio struck an iceberg; Clinton married an iceberg. DiCaprio is a great actor; as for Clinton, “Ah did not have sex with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.” DiCaprio went down on the Titanic; the Titanic went down on Clinton.
Ed Mahmoud, that was brilliant!
I dismissed the idiot because after multiple postings, he wasnt able to come up with anything more than the journalistic integrity of The Daily Show and Jon Stuart. It gets old trying to have a discussion with someone who isnt anymore engaging than watching paint dry.
And from someone who is self-described as “intelligent” and having robust degrees..and that’s the best he can do against any of us?
Same goes for
The best you can do is “GOPigs” and throw childish insults. I’ve never once seen you even attempt to have discourse with anyone here and present a logical, coherant argument for what you think. You’re of the same group of people who chant “hope and change” and “change we need!”, when you’ve neither stopped to understand what “change” the LightBringer is talking about, nor do you grasp the basic concept of what he’s talking about when he says “we”.
When he says “we”, he’s not talking about you and I, honey.
Pick a single thing he’s proposed that’s going to being “hope” and “change” thats -positive- to people…I bet you anything that you name has a huge drawback to it, most likely that you’re not even aware of at present. And likely, as in eagle’s case, wouldnt care because it’s something a democrat suggested. Not because you believe it to be true and just in that cold, black space you call a heart (while pretending to have fluffy “lets love everyone -except republicans- going on for ya)…you don’t care about helping people, or changing the lot in life those less fortunate have…you’re interested in getting your way, and flipping off anyone else who disagrees without a shred of intellectually honesty or discussion on the matter.
But you stay uninformed, blind to anything other than Kos prints, and keep marching to the tune of the Pied Piper, as he walks you and all of your friends right off a cliff. Have fun with that. I’ll be back here watching while you get screwed.
Do I think this JTP thing is anything more than just publicity…meh. I think its a way to market a product. Take a name that peoplem recognize, and use it to make money. I’m not sure why that’s not clear. But, at the same time, do I think he’s going to be more effective than the clowns at CNN who cant get a real story to save their sorry posteriors? Who knows. But it’s a “wait and see” issue. If he does well, so be it. If he screws up, then so be it. It doesnt take much of an IQ to point a camera and comment on something? I mean, hell…look at MSNBC? Proof in the pudding right there.
I get bored with liberbals…not so much in the fact that pointing out their shortcomings isnt fun…but bored in the fact that so few of them can put up a reasonable and coherant argument (though lgm sometimes surprises me and throws a good one like his comment about leo earlier).
Come back when you can even attempt to stand up to anything said with something better than what’s been presented.
You can train a chimp to sit in an Anchor seat, whats wrong with JTP going over and asking simple questions to common folks? Geeze, Wolfie Blitzburger used to do the pig report until he got stuck on a roof.
cant wait to see what he does while there, the MSM desk sitters are just jealous of his ability to outdo them with out even trying, and without flashy visual effects and teleprompter’s.
i bet he gets actual thoughts from actual people, thats what i like to see.
people are way more open with people that don’t act like they are doing them a favor just breathing, (like the MSM pukes act).
JTP is an American, we can do anything we put our minds to.
for the pissing contest- i got a 351 on my G.E.D
Are there any “reporters” at CNN or MSN that aren’t dumb as a rock, complete azzholes? Being forced to listen to CNN or MSN while waiting for my car to be serviced or at the airport is torture. These “journalists” vary between humorous total ignorance and infuriating bigotry. I admit I always enjoy hearing that one of their kind has passed away or been killed, or that another newspaper has gone belly up – reminds me of the sound of a cockroach being crushed under your shoe. WHile this sounds callous, I believe these morons do great harm to our country and our fellow citizens, creating divisions, sowing disharmony and lies, and generally tearing our country apart. It is now “controversial” to display our flag, pray in public, believe in God, not cheat or lie, and endangering the lives of our soldiers is “patriotism.” It is no wonder then, that “journalists” are naturally supportive of democRATS, as these crooked, brutal, racist, bigoted, anti-American, atheists are just like family.
The limits of credibility for the MSM is just another manifestation of their BDS.
Any thing that includes a “W” is bad. That is why they avoid the basics of TRUE journalism: Who, What, When, Where, and Why, if possible.
