The retiring senators are RINOs, so I won’t miss them. But in the meantime, they seem to be taking Bush’s lead in dismantling the GOP, brick by brick.

Has Hatch been paying attention to the Democrats and their allegations of the politicization of the Justice Dept under Bush? And he supports a guy like Holder that has done just that and will do it again?

Interesting that you would say that. When Orrin first ran for the Senate, the incumbent (I think it was a previous Bennett)was just finishing his third term, and so he ran his campaign on the premise that “three terms is enough for anyone”. And “If elected I will only be there for three terms.” (or something along those lines).

According to his web site, he was first elected to the Senate in Nov 1976. I’m not the best at math, but I calculate three terms in the U.S. Senate as ending in 1994.

Living example for term limits indeed.

And he’s a big reaching across the aisle to “my good friend” Teddy kind of Senator besides.
