Sen. Inhofe’s first YouTube channel vid: Show your TARP rage!
Stalwart GOP conservative Sen. Jim Inhofe was opposed to the Crap Sandwich from the beginning — and has pushed vigorously for a rollback of the massive bailout. Today, he launched his YouTube channel with a salvo aimed at President Bush for moving to free up the rest of the $350 billion in TARP funds. Inhofe’s S. 64 would impose accountability restrictions on the bailout money.

What was that about a “lone voice crying in the wilderness?”
The GOP has RUN away from conservative principles like an olympic sprinter.
I get Inhofe’s newsletter and I don’t even live in his state. Like him and his policies very much. He’s one of the few good guys still standing. Put him together with DeMint & we might have a winning team. Course the RNC would deep-six them both if they could.
I don’t think it will take 20 or 30 years for this to be called irresponsible. That call was made 20 or 30 seconds after the plan was announced.
Inhofe for President in 2012!!!
I can’t understand it. Wyoming Sen’s Barasso and Enzi are both co-sponsers to Inhofe’s S.64 oversight bill, yet they went against the GOP tide yesterday.
WTH?
Maybe they were drunk yesterday.
Guess I’ll have to go back and see exactly what was in that bill.
The Senator was one of the few people I contributed to last year. My contributions only went to Conservatives. Not the RNCC.
tpierce, me too! I knew the GOP’s running for reelection in my state were going to carry the day, so I sent him $$ instead.
Way back at the beginning of the election hallabaloo I asked Sen Inhofe if he would be “my” Sentor since my Senator was McCain which was the same as NOT being represented in DC so I have been on his mailing list for months. He has been at the forefront of conservatisim faithfully. Truly a good representative of the people of OK. We need about 95 more just like him!!
After listening to several ‘prominant’ Republicans voice their concern about being seen as ‘obstructionists’ to all of the various bailouts, it becomes clear that the only Republicans that will survive are the ones that have the courage to vote with their beliefs and not for the motions of the wind.
Go Sen. Inhofe! He is great – and from my home state of Oklahoma. I hope he continues to stand firm in his beliefs!
Oklahoma is represented by Imhoff and Coburn, two of the few conservative Senators.. makes one wonder, what is different about the people of other states that they keep sending losers to Washington. Can any other state be proud of both of their Senators?
Whoops, Inhofe.. read before sending
Jail the ones that voted for it. There’s no difference between what they did and someone clubbing someone over the head and robbing them.
I had the privilege of voting for Jim Inhofe twice for mayor of Tulsa – the last decent mayor Tulsa has had. And I got to vote for him for Senate once. Being one of the token gays on the right, I do have my issues with Inhofe and Coburn but character and genuine concern for the future of this country are not among them. Go Jim! Go Tom!
Living in Kalifornia, I do wonder how some of the best senators come from “flyover” country while big name states like CA and NY manage to send buffoons and gasbags to Washington.
A report on FNC notes the number of people moving from CA and NY to other states because of the damage that people THEY VOTED FOR are making these states less desirable… I wonder how many will move to OK and decide that the dumb Okies need to elect more “progressives”. They’re like locusts.
Yes robert537 we are getting all too many of those locust here in Arizona. John McCain was one of the earlier locusts to land here. These damn fools come here to escape the high taxes and regulations that damaged their home states and then demand the same here.
Can we spray for Liberal Locusts? Sen. Jim Inhofe IS on my Do Support list.
I AM an Oklahoman! 55 years now. And this is a far cry from the days when our most admired Republican at the time (Mickey Edwards) was caught up in the House Banking/Post Office scandal. One of the proudest moments for me was when Oklahoma soundly voted him out for his corruption. Unlike other states, for whom political corruption is a given (even a resume-enhancer), we do not tolerate it.
InHofe won the election for the US House seat in 1994 against Dem Dave McCurdy, who we kicked out for making fun of us Okies by joking that, “entertainment in Oklahoma consists of a six-pack and a bug zapper.” As Mr. McCurdy soon discovered, Okies are a little more sophistcated than that.
Huh. I don’t know why I capped the H in Inhofe. Like lonewolf said… read before sending.
I don’t know why the politicians FOR the bailout aren’t wearing ski masks and carrying guns……..what they are doing amounts to full scale robbery…and the American people know it. What can we do..? What could we do if they decided to start hauling opponents off and shooting them/ Absolutely nothing….We are already a Banana republic.
Oklahoma has the finest Senators in this country with Mr. Inhofe and Mr. Coburn. This is where the next generation of Republicans need to learn from.
