If Joe Citizen were to “forget” to file his Social Security or self-employment taxes for several years running, it would not be written off as an “honest mistake” but tax dodging. They’re trying to play this like he’s the World’s Smartest Financial Genius, yet he “forgot” to file his taxes? And does he do his own taxes, being that well off? Just another Corrupt-o-Crat.

Four years, Socky. Not 3. He paid his 2003 and 2004 taxes in 2006 (after the IRS caught him). He paid his 2001 and 2002 taxes a month or so ago (after Obama picked him to head Treasury). He’s either a cheat or an incompetent, and either should disqualify him for high office.
But kudos to Obama. He hasn’t throw Geithner under the bus (yet). Who knew the PEOTUS had it in him?
Maybe neither. Many people consider the tax return simply the first round of negotiations.

Timothy Geithner, Barack Obama’s nominee for Treasury Secretary obviously does not know the basics of his obligation as a contractor. He does not know the difference between gross and net pay. He ignored the tax information he received at the end of each year. This is the only person in the country that is capable of understanding TARP?
Forget wrong doing. The man is a flaming incompetent.
This MSM coverup sounds like “no need to discuss it, because there is a consensus on global warming” and “if we do not approve the 700 billion now the economy will collapse.” Only lemmings believe this junk.
So, can we call this guy a traitor, since, to quote Joe Biden, “It’s patriotic to pay taxes”?
Lawyers don’t file tax returns. Well, most don’t. Even they know that filing is voluntary. And…if you make a mistake in the computations, it’s perjury. That’s why they don’t file.
They fill out a 1040, figure out what they owe, and have their own lawyer send in their check to the IRS. They never send in the 1040. If they get charged with “Willful failure to file” their lawyer just produces the check saying that their client paid his taxes. The gov’t lets it drop because the taxes are paid and there’s no way they’ll get a conviction.
I know this because my brother is a lawyer and he ran into this all the time.

Ol’ Chap: Guns are not required to be registered where I live and I doubt if all the “good ol’ boys” (to include yours truly) would register them in the first place.
That way, when the Dems try to find out who has them so they can take them away, you won’t know where to start!

If you allow the city you live in to force you to give up what the US Constitution guaranteed and the US Supreme Court recently validated, you are probably not smart enough to know which end to load. Or a coward. Either way, it is probably best.
