What with more and more of Iraq being turned over to the government, people being able to actually earn a living, start and own businesses and…well…have everything happen the way President Bush said it would with time and patience, he is running out of people to draw from in iraq and Afghanistan.

He is not a party to what is going on in Gaza and he is like a “hanger-on” when it comes to what is going on there. While he is making claims to beginning new fronts, all his past attempts have been thwarted before they could even get off the ground.

The world is rapidly passing him by. There are bigger and more threatening people and events to worry about, and he is feeling left behind.

That could make him more dangerous, but it could also move him rapidly into the dustbin of history.

Yes and no. “Jihad” has two meanings, the inner struggle (”greater jihad”) and the kill-everyone-who-disagrees-with-us type (”lesser jihad”, and which has been expanded FAR beyond what was originally written about). Arabic is said to be a very poetic language, but not precise.

OBL gets to heaven

Sonofdy: I like the version that relates when OBL gets to heaven and begins walking around when he encounters G Washington, who promptly kicks his behind for several minutes.

OBL stumbles away only to encounter James Madison, who repeats what GW did a few minutes earlier.

As he staggers away from that beating, he encounters Patrick Henry who doubles down on what GW and JM provided earlier.

At that point, OBL goes to St Pete and says “Hey, what’s going on? I thought I was geting 72 virgins, not constant beatings!”

(1) The whole “Obama is a Muslim” line was silly, especially considering that Obama went to a church that embraced an actist version of Christianity. We can argue whether Obama really believes or not, but generally I do not like to get into what is in someone’s heart.

That said, I think that the extremist wing of Islam probably views him as an apostate. He should be careful.

(2) Notice that OBL does not actually show up in the tape. It is basically an audio tape with a picture. Which leads to the question of whether OBL is still alive or is in such bad shae he cannot be seen on video.

Also, given the lack of English subtitles, where is Adam Ghadan? There were rumors he was dead, but has popped up in a few places.
