the Muslims including this woman seem so unhappy. They have sucha despondent look even that mullah who was involved in the prayer session soon after 9/11. The whole religion leaves me cold because I know where it has derived from.

I can understand, from a secular view, a male converting to Islam. You get to kill those you disagree with, from a religious view, and call them infidels. Your wife is your property and is a second-class citizens. Your daughters are like livestock, to be sold for a dowry.The men have the power and the women are pawns.
But why would a woman convert? Islam is relatively non-threatening to her because she resides in the Western world. She should go live in Iran or Saudi Arabia to experience the “wonders” of Islam. Hey, sign me up for genital mutilation, no freedom of movement and a Burqa.

Probably a bit of both. I’m guessing these women are taught from childhood on up that their own sexuality, in and of itself, is something they should be afraid of, ashamed of, because that is how the men feel.
