Kenyan corruptocrats travel to DC…to watch inauguration on hotel TV

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 20, 2009 05:40 AM

Barack Obama and the DNC aren’t the only ones spending like sailors while the economy sputters. Corruptocrats in Kenya, land of Obama’s father, are traveling here on their government’s dime to partake in the O-festivities.

Never mind that they weren’t actually invited to any official events.

The Kenyan delegation will show up at a few balls and tune in to the swearing-in ceremony on their hotel TVs. USA Today has the snort-worthy details:

As the new U.S. president takes center stage today amid celebrations around the globe, an uproar is brewing in the birthplace of Barack Obama’s father.

Eight high-level Kenyans, led by Foreign Affairs Minister Moses Wetang’ula, flew to Washington at government expense while their nation faces one of its worst famines in years — and even though they weren’t invited to Obama’s inauguration.

Headlines in Nairobi’s Daily Nation newspaper blared, “Fury on the street over free ride to Washington party” and “Anger at waste on Obama trip.”

“People see this trip as a waste of money,” says Ann Wanjiru, a community health worker in Nairobi who sees patients going for days without food. “This is making people start hating Obama. Why can’t the American Embassy refuse these people visas to travel?”

Kalembe Ndile, a former member of parliament, delivered his own TV to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, saying the trip is a waste of taxpayers’ money because the officials will watch the ceremony from their hotels, the Daily Nation reported.

No word on whether they’ll take a side trip to visit Obama’s illegal alien Kenyan half-aunt, Zeituni Onyango.

Such a sham we’ll all be paying for a long time! The libs are already getting the concrete ready to set the tera-buck social programs the Bomb is going to lay on us! And our enemies are drooling with glee that our Prez is going use “diplomat smarts” and sit down at the table watching them honing their hatchets.

Not sure exactly, but didn’t Fox & Friends mention that Fox wasn’t invited to some Obaman event or occasion?

I guess that would be the O-Kumbaya Kenyans! Ah to see one of their own pillage and rape this continent the way they have pillaged and raped theirs-a proud moment to be sure. Dear Auntie
Zeituni Onyango is not included? Poor Africa, the colonialist left and Africa raised up a ruling class even harder and more corrupt. Poor America for we get the Nightmare of Obama’s Dreams from of Father.

Pray for the Christians of Kenya for Obama’s friends and family treat them harshly.

Good for Ann Wanjiru, a community health worker in Nairobi. Her I would not mind helping.

Happy O-Kumbaya Day to the Trolls and Drools. For me it is time to put LIBERAL amounts of steer manure on the roses, clinging bitterly to my trowel and shovel.

‘Let them eat cake’ has never had such a nice ring to it.

People, look at this example. This is a perfect example of what government becomes when the people let it.

Government people have no concept of running out of money, or saving money, or being efficient with money because they always ‘vote’ themselves more money if they need it.

There is a real world outside of politics in America. It is where hard working people try to raise their families without having to be burdened by the government.

The government is taking advantage of the public trust and some day the people will have to rise up and fight if we are to find ANY fiscal responsibility with the money that the federal government demands from the ‘free’ people who live here.

Why can’t the Kenyans get rid of their government? Why don’t the Kenyans care about people going without food? The government is in control of everything. . . much like in the US. If you give GOVERNMENT blind faith, they will rape and rob you.

The crazy thing is how many people are willing to have faith in the government and not God (who has been here longer than any government has or will).

Or, more likely, it’s a “triple the foreign aid to Kenya (and us) or we will release your Kenyan birth certificate to the media” shake-down.

Which would be why the founders put the “Natural born citizen” requirement in Article 2, Section 1 of what used to be our Constitution.

    Open letter to Obama
You will be our new President today. You will have the lofty opportunity to lead a great country. You have a chance to create an environment of real change. You have two distinct avenues to accomplish that goal. Return to the safeguards of our constitution or mandate a system whereby government controls it’s citizenry. Judging from your voting record and words you have spoken, you will probably chose the latter. That systems has been tried many times and it has failed. Judging by your works I truly believe you want to raise people out of poverty and help those living in less fortunate condition. We, as fellow Americans, also desire to see this happen. Your method however will require those of us that make this country prosperous to become alienated by your actions. Your method will remove the incentives necessary form those who wish to achieve goals that are beyond the ordinary. Please reconsider your perspective, because American exceptionalism is real and can be a guide for a world of exceptionalism. If you remove the shackles of government the world will be a utopia of freedom.

Talk about a waste of money – how about the hefty $170M+ price tag of Obama’s coronation!

One hundred seventy million dollars (and growing) wasted on a one-day, look-at-me event, while too many are American families are fighting to survive an economic tsunami (created primarily by Democrats) and too many American kids are going hungry on weekends, when school is not in session.

Justify the coronation’s inordinate expenditure in light of that, DNC, or is your conscious satisfied in making “let-them-eat-cake” excuses like the money is from donations, or we’re spending less per person than Bush?!

    The key word being “official”.

They didn’t travel all the way from Kenya to Washington, D.C. just to sit and watch a TV screen in a hotel room.

They had to have been invited to “top-secret, off-the-record” events like this one.

Concerning the Obama citizenship issue, raised above by ITookTheRedPill, it appears that all 50 Secretaries of State, all members of the electoral college, all senators and congresspersons, all officials of the Democrat party, most conservative talkshow moguls, the MSM, and hundreds of other bureaucrats have seen definitive evidence that Obama is a natural born citizen of the United States. It also apprears, that Obama is determined that ordinary citizens are will never be privy to that evidence. My only question in this matter is this: Why?
I don’t pretend to know what Obama’s citizenship is, and I am certain that more than 95 percent of Americans also don’t know, because they have not seen the evidence, neither first hand nor as presented by an official report from a trusted body of officials. Strange business.
