Partying in D.C.: Illegal alien/deportation fugitive Aunti Zeituni Onyango
Well, isn’t this special? After overstaying her visa, ignoring a federal deportation order for years, escaping apprehension in Boston, and taking refuge in Cleveland, the destitute illegal alien aunt of Barack Obama somehow found her way to Washington, D.C., for her nephew’s inauguration.
Federal immigration officials couldn’t find her, but she was spotted by several media outlets and partygoers around the Beltway.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported:
Ohio Democrats put aside the state’s financial troubles and cold weather Sunday night to celebrate its part in electing Barack Obama to the White House.
Just a few blocks from Obama’s soon-to-be residence, elected officials, former officeholders, proud volunteers and party activists from the Buckeye State noshed and drank at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel, a historic luxury hotel…
… One special guest who commanded attention at the party was Zeituni Onyango, 56, Obama’s aunt from Kenya who has been in this country illegally and is getting help in her immigration fight from another ball guest, Cleveland attorney Margaret Wong.
About 900 people, who each paid $300, attended the ball, which was put on by a special committee set up for the event.
It sold corporate sponsorships — ranging from $10,000 to $75,000 — to help underwrite the cost of the ball and related activities. Among the sponsors were Duke Energy, Nationwide, the Ohio Education Association and Penn National Gaming.
The NYTimes, which doesn’t seem to have caught up to the news that Onyango ditched her Boston public housing for sanctuary in Ohio, added:
On Monday, some of Mr. Obama’s Kenyan relatives milled around the lobby of the Mayflower Hotel here, their colorful headscarves earning them more curious glances than even the sports and pop music stars in the room. Zeituni Onyango, the president’s aunt, explained that their family had always been able to absorb newcomers.
Pointing out that her male relatives used to take on multiple wives, she said, “My daddy said anyone coming into my family is my family.” (Ms. Onyango, who lives in Boston, recently faced deportation charges, but those orders have been stayed and she is pursuing a green card.)
Michelle Obama’s brother is quoted in the very next paragraph:
At holidays and celebrations, “you get a whole lot of people who are happy to be around family,” Craig Robinson said.
Guess Aunti has been rescued from under the bus — giving Hope to deportation fugitives across the country that Obama will look the other way at their cases, too.

Well of course none of the federal agencies are going to find her now even if they are looking right at her. They wouldn’t dare take a chance on losing their job now that Obama is in charge. It will all go away if we just ignore it. Ha!
So based on Obama’s first couple of weeks since being elected President I can feel relieved that any taxes I fail to pay will just be viewed as a common oversight and not land me in jail, and now my sister-in-law’s illegal fugitive husband from Mexico can stop worrying about constantly being caught and sent back south of the border every other month (he somehow always makes it back into the country a day or so later). Way to uphold and defend the Constitution Mr. President.
Maybe when Obama said there were 57 states, we just missed the news flash that we already annexed Kenya, Mexico and 5 other countries.

The inauguration may be done, but the quest for honesty, openness, transparency, and accountability, all in the quest to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, is most certainly not over.
And Mr. President, if you are later found to be other than a natural born citizen, and therefore unqualified to hold the office of President, please leave office as gracefully as President George Walker Bush just did.

Auntie has no fear of deportation. Neither do any of the millions of fraudulently documented “immigrants”.
Migration is a movement of people from one place to another. Immigration is citizens of one country applying for legal entry to another country with the intent to become a citizen of that country. The debate is not about immigration at all. It’s about moving the cheap labor here. Old fashioned notions like citizenship and borders get in the way of that. Bush is telling us illegal aliens do not want to be Americans, they just want to work here. The real answer is for foreigners to clean up their own countries so they do not need to flee them. Citizens of other countries do not have any right to “migrate” into our country without permission. If America announces to the world, “We can’t stop you, so come on in”, with another amnesty, the deluge will be overwhelming. If 3,000 a day didn’t get your attention, then wait until it’s 10,000 a day. We cannot sustain this influx and survive as a nation. We must speak up and speak to each other about this and not let false claims of racism or bigotry be used to intimidate us into silent assent. America is not Congress’ to give away. America belongs to We The People.

We’re ALL just happy as all get out, can’t wait ’til tomorrow morning to see who paid my mortgage, filled up my car with gas, prolly shoveled my walk as well.
In the A.M. I can just wake up and see how improved my life is just by hearing, by knowin’ that ‘the one’ was inaugurated.

Ms. Onyango, this country can absorb newcomers, but we prefer them to be here legally.
Now that President Obama has sworn to uphold the Constitution he needs to set a precident, uphold the nation’s laws, and deport her. It doesn’t matter if he disagrees with the law or not – it is the law. If he truely wants to be bipartisan and avoid the hypocrasy that the liberals accused GWB of, he will do this.
Then again, I’m not betting any money on it happening.

You are 100% accurate in your assessment. Another amensty, from the illegals already here alone, will be enough to break the back of the nation. From independent sources, the estimate is betwen 20M-30M. The gov’t says ~12M but we know from history that is probably 1/3 of the real number (see 1986 amensty numbers). So 30M given citiznehsip who will bring in anohter 3 family members on average (in line wiht 1986 experience) via “family reunification”, will yield 30M illegals plus 90M fmaily member for a total of 120M new citiznes in a few short years. Then the next wave of illegals starts all over. Common sense tells us that a country cna not grow its population at such a high rate indefinitely while maintaining any decent standard of living. I always ask mass immigration supporters, when will we reach capacity and reverse our current policy? Of course they never answer that question. The cenuss bureau predicts close to 1B population around the turn of the century, which I suspect is conservative (they keep revising nubmer upward).
Let’s see if he even follows his own words on the matter:
He gets elected with the taint of scandal all around him. He starts his Presidency by flaunting the immigration laws of the land and makes an “exception” for his auntie. He waxes poetic during his Inaugeration speech proving the words were empty rhetoric for the masses. I will be amazed if he lives up to one statement from his speech(s).

Are all you McCain bashers happy now? McCain was at the bottom of list of choices for President, but certainly above Obama. But all you McCain bashers are under the futile hope that having a defeated Republican party will create a mandate for a more conservative candidate in 2012. The truth is that the media will bury any negative news and failures about Obama and trumpet the tiniest of successes, and Obama will likely be re-elected in 2012. Think about it. This is a man who, despite his illegal alien aunt, quote about rural Americans “clinging to their guns and religion,” bemoaning the stupidity of Americans for not speaking another language (ignoring illegals coming here and refusing to speak THIS country’s language), etc., etc., despite all that, is now our President. Happy now? Was McCain really such a bad choice? When have you ever seen the “perfect candidate,” and one who actually had a chance at winning? There is no such thing.

The media will see to it that Obama is re-elected, just like they saw to it that he got elected in the first place. This is a man with an illegal alien aunt, and is now PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. Just look at Michelle O’s hideously fugly inaugural gown. Everyone is piling on the compliments. The Obamas can do no wrong.
$170 Million for all the inaugural parties and festivities all while the same people attending these parties are telling us we are in the worst economic times since the great depression. Can someone please remind me why the rest of the world hates us so much??

McCain may actually have been worse.
I understand ones concern for their job and possibly any future repercussions, but I myself would have a difficult time sleeping if I was aware of her presence.
Is his brother still living in a cardboard shack, if so, the least he could do is send him so new cardboard, out of brotherly love of course.
Let’s see, we know McCain and Obama both support Amnesty. We know that McCain has a history of jumping across the aisle to vote with the democrats. We know that McCain was willing to press the McCain/Feingold bill that, no matter what the SCOTUS says is blatantly contrary to the first amendment and we know that neither of them will help we the people in any discernible manner.
The lesser of two evils is still evil.
The only answer is to find somebody who can unite people as Americans first and I think the politics of division have pretty much cured people of any hope there so now all we can do is see what we will see … no matter who “wins”.
She’s in like Flint now that Uncle B.O. is in the White House. All those extra rooms, heck, she’s probably going to move in and work as a maid. Biden knows all about those sorts of “work arrangements…”
And…..I’m really hoping Geitner gets the treasury job so we can all make some “innocent” mistakes on our tax bills too!!
What we have here is an impeachable moment. The President of the United States is aid and abetting a fugitive in cooperation with that fugitive and the fugitives attorney, Margaret Wong, in violation of 8 USC 1324 and 18 USC 371. Also, the Obamessiah is failing to fulfill his duties as President by see that the laws of the United States are faithfully executed.
Time for impeachment.
