I had the opportunity to visit the White House website yesterday when I was looking for the President’s e-mail address in order to e-mail him a farewell. I had visited the website many times over the last 8 years, for various reasons, and never…not once…was it EVER about President Bush. In fact, the main page pretty much showed the White House and then there were smaller items telling of different events and such that was or had been going on.

Having just gone to it now, I can say I am completely disgusted. This is not his personal website. This is still “The People’s House”, and someone needs to tell His Highness that he is NOT our emperor.

The only thing that makes it the slightest bit tolerable is the knowledge that “What goes up, must come down”. He has allowed himself to become so over-inflated, allowed himself to be placed so high on a pedestal, and has bought into his own hype so much, that soon…and I know it must be very soon, he will come crashing down to earth.

When that crash happens, it will be in such a way that he will be incapable of recovering from it. Nothing is more destructive than when The Cult of Personality begins to believe their own feces that they spread.

The Media will be incapable of protecting him and there will be a rush of rats leaving his ship the likes of which this country has never seen. Even all the back-pedaling that he has been doing over the last few weeks has not been enough to keep him from his destruction, as today’s Coronation evidenced.

Mark my words…this man will crash, and crash hard…sooner rather than later…and the best we can all hope and pray for is that when he does, he will not take the country down with him.

Obama and Biden believe it is vital that a Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) be reached so our troops have the legal protections and immunities they need. Any SOFA should be subject to Congressional review to ensure it has bipartisan support here at home.

They just took the crap from their campaign and transferred it without change to the White House. For example:

“Provide Short-term Relief to American Families

* Crack Down on Excessive Energy Speculation.
* Swap Oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to Cut Prices.”

Oil closed at $33 a barrel today, and he’s going to drain the strategic petroleum reserve?

The Feds threw enough money at that city to rebuild it a couple of times. Maybe Obama should invesitgate where all that money went. First place I’ll suggest looking is in William Jefferson’s freezer.

I did just visit the site…had to see the thing for myself. I do feel like it is a big campaign add with a little sprinkle of history. I sent an email to them, and am sure either (1) It will be ignored or (2) I will have a visit by the ObamaSensitivity Police. Here is all I said:

Could you PLEASE wait at least until the inaugural hangover is gone before you start slamming former President Bush for Katrina when clearly it was a failure on ALL levels of government, especially local and state. Funny how the same storm (and many like it) effected other states and they know how to rebuild/get on with their lives without depending solely on just ONE level of government. Good luck, as this is not the kind of togetherness I expect

Hit it right on. Just look at his speeches: jejune parades of tired cliches and empty bromides joined by non-sequiturs; feckless attempts at profundity that only serve to expose his shallowness and lack of insight to anyone who tries to work out what they mean.
