More universal health care art from the kids Pelosi wants to “plan” out of existence

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 26, 2009 05:03 PM

I mentioned the universal health care propaganda kiddie art contest in my post earlier today on S-CHIP. They really deserve stand-alone attention — especially when juxtaposed with Nancy Pelosi’s view of these same kiddie human shields as burdens on the economy who need to be, um, preempted with tax-subsidized contraceptive and family planning services.

The art exhibit is currently being displayed in Washington, D.C. Nan should stop by! Maybe they can run a video loop of her thoughts on the burdensome costs of having children next to these art pieces:

Will someone ask Obuma, since he does not believe a child begins at conception, at what age does a child deserve health care?

Obuma has voted to let a baby die if it is born after an abortion so when does “it” become “he or she”.

But if you abort the child you can probably claim the carbon credit of that child over a lifetime. Maybe that will allow more car choices since you killed your kid off to drive the car. Will that help Michele’s kids?

Further proof the Democrats are from the “Just enough of us, way too many of you” crowd.

You can’t have a bright future when 4,000 children were denied the right to life today. As an additional 4,000 will be tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that.

50 million-plus children have been denied a future in the name of choice.

Democrats have become a parody of themselves. Pro-lifers will bury them in the ash heap of history because you ultimately can’t pass on your beliefs to a generation you refuse to create or abort.

If you do not like government subsidized healthcare for children and do not like abortion, you should be jumping for joy that the government is going to do something to minimize both of them. Hell, you should be out on the street right now passing out birth control.

Except that it doesn’t reduce abortions. In fact, it increases abortions.

Additionally – why should I pay for other’s sexual proclivities? Nobody paid for mine. I abstained until I was married…AFTER I graduated from college.

I think that federal government subsidized/controlled health care is both fiscally irresponsible and against the US Constitution. However, I am all in favor of lots of children from US citizens so we will have more workers in the future to share the tax burdens.

You can’t just pass all the costs onto smokers as has been done all along before bootlegging tobacco products will become as common as bootlegging alcoholic beverages was during prohibition.

This so-called “art” is not the type of thing normal children produce without large amounts of input and guidance from parents, teachers, community organizers or other members of the village. It is propaganda, pure and simple, and also serves the purpose of indoctrinating the young artists well. No matter. The harder the Dems try to remove all pain and suffering from society, or their constituents at least, the faster the the whole deck of cards will come tumbling down. None of their schemes will ever make the slightest improvement in health care or reduction in costs as they are oblivious to the realities of markets and human behavior. The only question in my mind is how hard and fast will things fall apart and will we be able to recover from the disaster?

Actually, on this point you’re correct. I am a decent human being, which is why I contribute my money and my time at MY OWN discretion to help in my community. Charity should be a personal endeavor, not a gov’t function financed by the theft of its citizens, used for causes the citizens find repellent.

You can mow down a Christian compound with tanks and flame throwers. You can perform midnight raids, capture US citizens and turn them over to communist governments. You can even take campaign contributions from red China, start wars in Bosnia, and ignore terrorist attacks at home… if it’s for “The Chirrin.”

Frankly, your comment is way out of line. I’m a member of the human race, as is mattymatt10, as are millions of others who do not agree with this so-called eminent responsibility. I choose to help others MY way, based on my personal choice and evaluation of the cause. That’s one of the many benefits of freedom and of being an American. Our founding fathers made sure to protect us from this kind of government intrusion and bullying with the Constitution.

Millions of Americans give of their time and money to aid Little League, Girl and Boy Scouts, football booster groups, speech club coaching, church youth groups, 4-H clubs, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, La Leche, MADD, Rotary Club – all community involvement that help children. I donate time and money to my church, pay for the education of three children in Africa through Christian Children’s Fund, send letters of support and packages to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, served on my children’s school’s PTA board for 3 years, was a Girl Scout leader for 7 years (sold a LOT of cookies!) and a GS school organizer for 1 year, was a Sunday School teacher, mentored a Yaqui Indian girl, have spearheaded drives for books and food for several youth outreach programs in my community, given a bit more than 1 gallon of blood to United Blood Services, and helped my daughter make 130 Christmas stockings for impoverished children in our area. No one forced me to do any of this (my time and talents, my choice), nor has anyone forced any American to give of their time, talents, and money for charitable services here in the US or other countries. I’m not looking for a pat on the back for my service commitments, just want to jerk your head around to let you see that efforts to “help the children” comes in myriad different activities. Tax subsidies for birth control is NOT how our tax dollars should be used.

America is the most giving of all nations, but now, now that Obama wants to make it mandatory (for HIS pet projects), and a priority is now having we the taxpayers fund the prevention of unwanted babies, well, that essentially spits on everything that has been given from the heart by millions of our nation’s volunteers. It reeks of socialism. It also is a dangerous step in the direction of “selective breeding” which could target the poor and minorities, and can later be used as a method to mandate children limits in all families.

Other people’s sexuality is not any of my business, but if I chose to donate time or money to fund Planned Parenthood or similar organizations, then I should be allowed to do so, but NOT expect others to be forced to do the same. The arrogance of Congress, thinking they can solve and should be the master overseer of all the nation’s problems (based on what they deem worthy, of course), by dissipating personal freedoms and taking more money from Americans for projects like this is insulting and chilling.

I agree with you, HeatherRadish. “Not my fault, nor my responsibility.” Unless I should CHOOSE to make it a service project of my own. And therein lies the difference.
