Another B.O. Republican moment: Specter to support Holder

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 27, 2009 03:02 PM

Apparently, GOP Sen. Arlen Specter just announced in the Senate Gallery that he will support AG nominee Eric Holder.

Jim Long posted Twitter message a few minutes ago.

Quite a busy 24-hour period for the B.O. Republicans, eh?

***

More details just in from AP:

Sen. Arlen Specter says he will vote for Eric Holder as the next attorney general, paving the way for an almost certain confirmation.

The Pennsylvania Republican had challenged Holder’s record as a Justice Department official during the Clinton administration.

Previously Specter had called Holder’s judgment “inexplicable” for his role in controversial pardons granted by Clinton, including that of fugitive financier Marc Rich.

On Tuesday, on the eve of a Senate Judiciary Committee vote, Specter told reporters he will support Holder’s nomination. Given previously stated GOP support for Holder, his confirmation now appears all but certain.

“Inexplicable.” Exactly the word I’d use to describe Specter’s judgment.

Most BO Republicans are MIR (Media Intimidated Republicans) or HWIPITMR (How Will it Play in The Media Republicans?)

Explains why Specter voted against Zeitgeitner but will be for Holder.

MIR also explains everything John McCain’s ever done in public office.

    They have zero principles.

These people are not bending over; they are face forward, on their knees, willingly taking it. They are willing participants. We are the ones who are being bent over. Unfortunately for most of us, you people keep voting for these Republicans out of loyalty to party instead of loyalty to principles. Vote Libertarian.

Secter the RINO is a joke. No guts, and not principles. The RNC shoots itself in the ass if they support this loser and not Santorum or a solid conservative.
