The bad economy didn’t murder the Lupoe family

The Lupoe children: Brittney (8), Jazmin and Jassely (5), and Benjamin and Christian (2).
I think it’s disgusting how Los Angeles politicians and the MSM tried to turn the horrific suicide-murders involving Ervin and Ana Lupoe and their five children today into an object lesson about the bad economy.
The Lupoe parents lost their jobs at Kaiser Permanente. From the way Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa milked the case, you’d think they were unjustly and unexpectedly laid off as a result of corporate belt-tightening:
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said the city and county have hotlines available for people in desperate straits, including job centers, counselors and suicide hotline workers. “Know we are waiting with a helping hand and an open heart,” he said.
The New York Times perpetuated the Desperate Times story line:
“A man who recently lost his job allowed the despair to put him over the edge,” said Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who held a news conference outside the house. “Unfortunately, this has been an all-too-common story in the last few months. But that does not and should not lead people to resort to desperate measures.”
A man killed his ex-wife, her parents and friends at a Christmas party in West Covina last month after losing his job. In October, a 45-year-old father of three shot and killed his wife and children in their Porter Ranch home after describing financial stress in a suicide note.
Mayor Villaraigosa urged Los Angeles residents experiencing financial stress to talk to friends and neighbors and seek counseling “to get back on their feet and keep their families afloat.”
But if you actually read the rambling, crazy letter Lupoe sent to KABC TV in Los Angeles, you’ll see that he was up to his eyeballs in serious employment troubles that had little if anything to do with the economic downturn.

More: “It looks like there may have been grounds for the termination,” Los Angeles police Capt. William Hayes said.”
This selfish, disturbed, evil individual — possibly with his wife’s consent and/or cooperation — made a premeditated decision to murder his 8-year-old daughter and two sets of twins (5-year-old girls and 2-year-old boys), his spouse, and then himself rather than leave the children “in someone else’s hands.”
Kaiser Permanente didn’t kill those innocent children. The bad economy didn’t kill those innocent children. Ervin Lupoe killed those innocent children. It’s bloody rotten of the press and the pols to make this cowardly murderer of innocents look like the victim of happenstance.

Bush’s fault, of course.
This guy ought to be thrilled he had a job at all considering his literary talents.
I was about to write something when i saw the picture. Those innocent beautiful kids didn’t deserve this.
Politicians who want others to be dependent on them never admit that people are responsible for their own actions, but want to make everyone out to be a victim.
The victims here are pictured above.
His worldview was so screwed up. Those poor children. RIP, Lupoe Angels.
Get off their lawn, Villar. We can expect those hotlines to be ringing off the hook and the job centers to be bustling any…minute…now…
All possible options were obviously exhausted, like looking for another job while utilizing unemployment compensation.
No sympathy for that weak, lazy man. Awful. Heartbreaking. Infuriatingly stupid.
Just pure evil.
They could have left them with us and offed themselves. They would not have been missed and the kids would have had a loving home.
Just pure, selfish evil.
That offer stands to anybody out there BTW.
It always disgusts me when a tabloid, or cheap politician stands on the graves of people to make their points. Graves are not a stage, damn it!
Well then maybe we should start blaming the media. THEY report the crap, perpetuate the crap and are sycophants to the liberal crap feeders. The Lupoes were “victims” to the media who told them it was Kaiser’s fault.
This will get buried by the lamestream media. They will continue to use the economy as the scapegoat for this man’s (and possibly his wife’s too) evil.
There is nothing more evil than excusing the evil done by others. Burn in Hell Ervin and Ana Lupoe
Exactly.
Exactly.
Exactly.
The reason the press portrays this story this way is because the press is controlled by Communists.
Yes, Communists.
And their goal is to blame every evil on Capitalism, with the only answer being the reorganization of our society into Socialism and then Communism.

That’s the CHANGE they want. And it’s not change most Americans can believe in.

I’m really surprised Obama doesn’t go around wearing a Che T-shirt.
The man who replaced Obama in the Illinois Senate named his child Che.
Yes, really.
And he named his other child after a a comprehensive treatise on the contents of Islam.
Oh, and not only did Raoul succeed Obama in the Illinois Senate, they both attended the same “church”… Trinity United Church of Christ.
…just fills you with HOPE, doesn’t it?
What is the agenda for these people? What exactly are these idiots trying to achieve? Is there an end to their means? I’m confused.
They’re more disturbed than the murderer. Sickening, just sickening.
ajmontana,
No need to be confused. What they are trying to achieve is
The November elections just put the Presidency and complete control of Congress in the hands of Socialists/Communists.
Every state secret of this country is now in the hands of people who are friendly with Communists and Jihadists.
I guess the only solice I have is knowing I didn’t vote for the Crapweasels.
American Thinker:
Yuri Bezmenov, 1983:
Despicable deeds!
The end justifies the means. What means? Without a God, without absolute truth, then the only goal is power as a end unto itself, as Nietzsche wrote. Their worldview holds that man is the center of the universe. We have the capacity, in their view, to perfect ourselves. They wish for a utopia on this earth, but only so far as they have utter and complete control of that utopia. The world is nothing more than an ant farm in their worldview, since, after all, people are nothing more than evolved dirt. This is why they have no regard for human life and dignity. They only care about their one goal: a heaven on this earth without God, with complete bliss, free from pain. They run into problems however when real life and human nature hit them, prompting them to remove all supposed objects of opposition (i.e. religion, a free press, intellectual inquiry, anything that empowers the individual). Under their worldview, it is moral to lie, to cheat, to do anything to further their quest for this power they seek. They claim to be relativists, though this is not correct. They use this as another tool to gain power over those willing to follow their rules. Relativism is merely a facade to keep those of us who do not believe their lies quiet, to marginalize dissent.
I hope this helps.
Yep. Same tired old argument. Just like the guns kill people. Totally retarded liberals.
I was talking with this idiot liberal from Mumbai who told me the Pakistani terrorists were killers because they were poor. MORONS all around me everywhere I say.
So guns don’t kill people, the bad economy does?…
Let me guess, Kaiser is responsible for the deaths…I ask for the umpteenth time: who is defending businesses?
before I become too jaded:
May the children who perished find comfort in the arms of the Lord.
My prayers for the surviving family members.
Send_me, Thanks, But do you really believe that the Dumba$$ Mayor of L.A. can think that deeply? Honestly I doubt he can comprehend anything in your post, yet alone live by it.
This was obviously a tragedy for a family, especially the innocent children.
But the real horror I read between the lines here for the larger community (meaning the USA) is the declining quality of people working below the physician and RN level throughout our bureaucratized and HR-managed healthcare system.
I receive my heathcare from the VA and am very grateful for the care I get there. The doctors and nurses are fine but, from there, the quality goes down in a hurry. Many of the administrative people are totally “projects” — people completely unemployable for responsible jobs in the private sector. They are mostly minority, many of them very lazy and with attitudes, and many of them conspicuously lacking the intelligence and aptitude to do even their simple — but sometimes critical — jobs, such as receptionist in an ER. It must be said that although these admin and low-skilled med tech and administrative employees are overwhelmingly black, there are among their number — also black — very dedicated and capable people who do far more than their share to take up the great slack and keep the system running.
This kind of circus is what you get with government, especially the federal government. It is all a about affirmative action and credentialing, most of these people receiving some sort of certification or credential from a technical school that is as much a sham as the workplace that they go into. Many of the schools, like the hospitals, have no standards or rigor or serious expectations…they are all about quotas and helping the unskilled get “qualified.” God help the poor patients.
Although the VA is surely among the worst facilities in terms of being full of employees who flunked out of airport security training, other medical facilities are not far behind. Unions are as bad as government in creating atmospheres where many employees are woefully lacking in work ethic or professionalism. The medical care field — increasingly bureaucratized with big managed care corporations like Kaiser Permante, among others — look more and more like big government all the time.
The U.S. healthcare system has long been headed down this path away from the small practice with competent and professional staff throughout, to facilities that look more like drivers license examiner’s offices. If you like the folks who screen you at the airport, you’re gonna love your new healthcare facilites.
The more government gets its hand into healthcare, the more the patient clients can expected to be treated like dogs. With the push for government control of heathcare, it may all soon be like the VA…50% healthcare and 50% job center for the unskilled, unstable, “credentialed,” welfare cheats like the people in this article.
I once had a friend who was an anasthesiologist (sp?), he taught classes and told me that many of the minority students were not able to pass the tests. He said their essay answers were almost completely uncomprehendable. He was told by the director to make the tests easier and that he had to do that at least 4 or 5 times until they were able to pass. The director said it was better to push them through rather than face discrimination lawsuits.
If Kaiser was bullied into hiring this guy through discrimination claims, then he must have really been messed up for them to have the balls to fire him. Just reading that letter shows the education that liberals give people these days.
It is obvious this guy and his wife were messed up in the head, but really liberal feel good policies are to blame.
Being in the medical field, I work daily with admin. personnel, nurses, therapists, down to aides. Some of them are outstanding and very dedicated. But I have noticed over the past few years that the quality of medical personnel, coming out of schools, has declined. Sometimes, you wonder if they went to school at all or even took the state exams. Not all of them, but many of them are in it simply for the hours and pay. A large number of them are setting themselves up for possible lawsuits that could be won, hands-down. I fear this is all because of the “dumbing down” of the system in order to get more people into the healthcare field. Universal healthcare will go the way of Canada, Australia, and Great Britain. Seeing a doctor (if you can) and going into a hospital, could be “hazardous to your health”, and require a Surgeon General’s warning. The government is well know to screw everything up; taking over our healthcare will be no different. It’s all about power and control.
Just to add…I’m seeing a CP child, this morning, with frequent tonic-clonic/myoclonic seizures. A great kid who is loved. Meds need to be adjusted. Under universal healthcare, this child would have probably died, unable to get the proper care, on time. But isn’t that what Pelosi wants?
This guy was obviously unstable. I think it’s a bit of a rush to judgement, though, to assume that the wife was actually involved in planning the murder suicide. The letter states that she was, but it’s safe to assume this guy wasn’t thinking clearly as he justified the murder of his children.
The fact is, the economy is going to depress a lot of people. The European equivalent of Warren Buffet (can’t remember his name right off hand) killed himself a couple of weeks ago by jumping in front of a train. It was wrong of the press and politicians to paint this as a suicide brought on by the economy, but I see no problem in them reaching out to others and encouraging them to seek help if they are having similar issues.
I just hope this isn’t the rallying cry that Pelosi, et al use to push through the Obama “Ingenuity Stifling Plan or Generational Theft Act”, whatever the stimulus plan is called now.
The socialist conspiracy is already twisting the facts to suit their intentions, and they always will. Still, I do hope with you that this particular grotesserie does not fill their sails.
May God rest their Souls.
The news accounts of this crime represent the worst kind of propaganda. Pravda would be proud.
This is not the media I used to know.
Another ‘Badge of Honor’ for liberals.
They were both FIRED. What part of fired does the MSM not understand?
Darwin is a cruel mistress…. you know what I mean.
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the New York Times and others are nothing more than filth eating cockroaches for using this tragedy for their own purpose; but sadly we are not surprised.
What beautiful children. At least they’re now in peace and comfort with the Lord.
I daresay this man and his wife aren’t so lucky.
Never mind that socialism/communism caused untold poverty, destruction and death in the 20th century. That it stops recognizing the individual and forces collectivism.
Which is something I don’t understand. In my grad school classes (and yeah, I know colleges tend to lean liberal) people have no qualms about railing against, say, religion because it “makes people think alike” and “denies individuality.” But those same people then turn around and embrace a political ideology that does the exact same thing, except they forget it’s much easier for someone to leave a church than it is to seek asylum in a foreign nation.
It’s just stupid-scary.
This story breaks my heart because my son will be 2 in March. I couldn’t imagine killing him no matter how dire our financial situation was.
If, as Obama says, it’s time to put aside “childish things”, blaming everything and anything except the man who killed his family is about as childish as you can get.
“Is their no hope for a widows son!”
Masonic phrase to indicate a brother in distress.
Hope would be help but very similar, was he appealing to masons in the company to help him??
Very tragic events.
I disagree. This is the same BS spin they have put on every story they can for the 30 years I have been reading/watching news. The only thing that has changed is now we have the internet to get the facts behind the spin. If only more people would turn off American Idol and put down People magazine and pay attention liberalism would rapidly die off.
Healthcare and Unions do NOT mix well. We were unionized in the late 70′s & early 80′s, but voted them out in order to enjoy the wonderful benefits as others who were non-union. This also got rid of a lot of (non)workforce waste in due time.
AKA: lazy staff
Sweet Nancy Pelosi must be ecstatic! Seven less to apply for benefits.
God bless the children.
If anybody is to be blamed… it’s the union.
The news is spinning this story against the power company. The guy didn’t pay his bill and they still let him have a minimal amount of power. He exceeded that and then froze to death.
It’s all about the evil rich and their large corporations. Citibank is wrong to spend $50 million on a new jet, but it’s okay for the government to lift restrictions on government funding of foreign abortions and then ask us to pay for more stimulus.
I believe that Kaiser will take the fall for this tragedy in the press. Exactly what was Lupoe up to that would trigger an investigation for misrepresentation regarding his employment and somehow tying to childcare? He isn’t very clear on that subject, and so far everyone has been tight lipped. Whatever it was, the police chief yesterday said there were apparent grounds for dismissal for both of them. So returning to the fact that he was unemployed, as was his wife…were there no relatives? No extended family? No friends in the community, or church? Are we to believe this man and his family were so totally isolated from the rest of society that he felt he had no choice? He certainly had a friend in the socialist politicians who took advantage of the situation to push their agendas. This makes me sick. And those kids deserved far better than their father, at least, and maybe mother, too, if she truly consented or encouraged this evil.
Looks like Jim DeMint was right.
Born in ’33 my Dad was out of work as were many other fathers. There were 5 of us and my Dad, Mom, nor anyone else I ever heard of even think of doing something as despicable as this. Watch “Cinderella Man” and it catches the depression well and just as well, the character of American people during those times. This act was cowardice that robbed these five, gifts from god to us, of the opportunity to make this a better world.
Me too! How can somebody with literacy skills that poor be entrusted to follow direction?
Plus they were apparently cheats. Doesn’t it sound like they lied about their income to get subsidized childcare?
I wonder what he was lying about and on what state form? Health care? Child care? What was he misrepresenting? This apparently, according to his letter, got him and his wife fired.
A very liberal sentiment. I’ve known women who insist if they were to have an unwanted pregnancy, they would get an abortion rather than put a child up for adoption because they just didn’t want to “worry the child was being cared for.”
This seems like the next logical step for that kind of thinking.
Such beautiful little children. What a horrible tragedy. May God have mercy on their souls, and the souls of their parents.
And the story has been on every left wing website since the hour it hit the news. As you might expect, the deaths are being attributed to the “evil capitalist system. From the top (The news outlets) to the bottom of the barrel (the left wing bloggers), it is being used to push the agenda.
As for the MSM in this story…
The only thing that would have made this story more compelling if the killings were done by shooting the children with an assault rifle. Then running over them with an SUV. The SUV would Jesus on the dashboard. Bonus points if the SUV had a “Bush/Cheney ’04″ bumper sticker.
My cynicism grows…
There is something seriously, seriously wrong with our society. This stuff just didn’t use to happen with the frequency it does now.
And why do mayors always feel the need to comment on this stuff? Especially big-city mayors who don’t know anything about the victims or their situation. If it was Mayberry and everyone knew everyone else, that’s one thing. But LA? Nothing but a grandstanding fool.
You’re absolutely right. I doubt he’s thinking about things on such a level. However, I do believe he’s like the normal politician who is convinced of these truths: 1) promises, even empty ones, to bring “relief” and “equality” win votes and 2) debt isn’t a problem so long as you can flick the booger on the next guy. He probably doesn’t understand how the groundwork has been laid by the socialists through the use of aesthetics, specifically the cinema, and state-run education, but this mayor has no qualms about manipulating the cultural environment to maintain his own power.
The economy didn’t kill them, but they would be alive today had the economy been better. There were lots of suicides like this during the Depression.
Let us all pray for the souls of these beautiful, innocent little ones.
BTW, Where are our trolls?
Oh, I forgot…they deny the existence of the soul.
But did they take their entire family with them?
You can prove that?
Parents who are willing to abuse and/or murder their children are driven by a force more powerful, and more evil, than the economy.
When I was 6 months pregnant with my son, my husband lost his job. Because he worked for a private, non-profit institution that was exempt from the unemployment tax, he didn’t get to collect unemployment.
That left us with nothing but my income to pay our bills, and one of my checks covered our rent. Never mind car payments, utilities, food, etc.
NEVER in a million years did the thought cross my mind to go to an abortion clinic and off my child, pull a gun and kill my husband and myself (and my child), or would it have crossed my mind to kill my son after he was born because my husband was still between jobs (only picking up a temporary assignment here and there).
Murder/suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
This isn’t the fault of the economy. It’s the fault of parents who couldn’t see past the mistakes they made to land them in their particular situation and who chose murder over allowing their children to live with others.
Why is it that the government should always be there to hold the hands of people who are incapable of functioning? And why is someone else always to blame when people do bad things?
Reddog, I know. When I read those words a chill went down my spine.
Had he only said those words before, many of us would have been there for him.
So Mote it be.
Truth means nothing to a liberal. It’s just something that gets in the way of driving the narrative home.
I’d venture a guess that even if life were perfect that there would still be suicides. Why do famous people, incredibly rich people, and seemingly whole people commit suicide when folks living in mud huts, living off a cup of rice wake up with a smile? Whether folks choose to acknowledge it or not, this is a spiritual question, not a physical, economical, or environmental question. Discontent and covetousness lead to suicide. Discontent for that which God has given us. Covetousness of what others may have, blaming others, ourselves, and/or God for not having such things.
Maybe, if they had not lied to get benefits they were not entitled to…I digress…sigh…
Good post, EQ.
As an aside…How could I have missed our trusty supplier of buffoon relief?
Obviously this man was quite disturbed. There is obviously more to the story than losing a job. I have been out of work twice in the last 8 years and I didn’t murder my family either time.
The way politicians and the MSM are twisting and exploiting this horrible, murderous act is perhaps as sickening as the murders itself! How low can these people sink? Evidently there is no bottom for these kind of bottom feeders.
With this kind of thinking, the press should be held responsible for any look-alike murders. They will clearly be copycats that couldn’t possibly have gotten the idea any other way.

This is a matter of mental not economic depression. Who really knows what set this man off, or if anything short mental health intervention could have prevented such a reaction.
The suicide rates during the Great Depression went up from 14 to 17 per 100,000.
http://www.nps.gov/archive/elro/glossary/great-depression.htm
In 2001 the rate was 10.8 per 100,000.
http://www.suicide.org/suicide-statistics.html
In 2005 the rate was 11 per 100,000.
http://www.suicide.org/suicide-statistics.html#2005
Of course, there are probably no statistics available for 4th quarter 2008 but I am sure tortured minds like lgm will declare that George Bush is responsible for all of the death and despare there is in the world even if there is no increase.
Please explain, lgm. Your statement doesn’t make any sense based on what Michelle just posted.
Thanks WarEagle82 – you beat me to the punch regarding the suicide rate…. It only increased modestly during the Great Depression of the 30′s. Certainly, the quality of life suffered, but horror stories of mass suicides really are not at all accurate.
I believe this is not accurate. A reading of the letter suggests that the father and perhaps the mother both had issues maintaining long-term stable employment. People experiencing long-term or chronic unemployment usually come from a handful of defined groups (those with criminal history, disabilities, brain disorders, etc). Even in good economic times, the previously mentioned groups still experience significantly higher unemployment (in some cases 85%+) than the rest. Many people are by-passed for jobs even in good economic times – these folks might have been such people.
California is in big trouble They think this is going to get the Federal Government to bail them out? Well Hollywood is located in California…1 in 5 foreclosures are happening in Californian…how do they collect property taxes on foreclosures from the banks? The Banks. California Bellwether State so goes California so goes the Country but no one is paying them that much attention except to comment on their decline.
http://www.my-realestate-blog.com/foreclosure/foreclosures-up-81-percent-from-07
Evil exists–and so does mental illness. And our society has a DEATH CULTURE now–life has been cheapened by 40+ million abortions. Those working in the medical fields see this daily.
***
This crazy man and his crazy wife did not have faith in God–things would have worked out for them and their family sooner or later. How could they have looked at their lovely children and done such evil?
***
It is fortunate that he didn’t GO POSTAL on his co-workers first. These people always blame their problems on others–never on their own failed thinking and behavior.
***
God will give the children a better life in Heaven. The parents will be going to a much hotter place than Southern Kalifornia.
***
Anyone thinking this way needs to talk to a stable family member, co-worker, minister, friend, counselor, or someone who can help. We are all weak and confused in our thinking sometimes–GET HELP QUICK if you ever feel this way. Remember–we will all stand before God on the final day and we will have to explain our evil actions (aka sins) to him.

I wouldn’t put too much faith in this devil’s assertion that the wife was on board with the murder-suicide of the family. The devil seemed to be scratching around for sympathy.
He sure was one obedient employee.
Disgusting! I am amazed by the angry, hate-filled comments to this story. A murder-suicide is a tragedy for all involved. These are the type of comments that give Michelle Malkin and her followers a bad name. If you think saying things like “He should’ve offed himself…” somehow makes you a better person than the perpetrator himself, think again. Your self-righteousness is amusing and sad at the same time.
In fact, it probably makes you worse. Clearly this man was disturbed and in a hopeless place to resort to killing himself and his beautiful family. Here you are, some self-righteous ass sitting in front of your computer, reading about someone else’s tragedy, throwing stones.
And here you are, some self-righteous troll, misreading our comments.
The economy didn’t kill the Lupoe family. The father did. Was he distressed and disturbed? Probably.
But that doesn’t justify killing six other individuals. NEVER has.
As others, including myself, have shared – we’ve all fallen on hard times. Job loss. Financial woes. Yet none of us, no matter how bad things got, killed our loved ones to try to make things better.

You’re the only one that has stated, “He should’ve offed himself…”
I read about this story last night, then went to the comments section of the article. There, I saw a person who had actually blamed this horrible tragedy on the Bush Presidency.
I could not believe it, yet at the same time I went there specifically to see if someone had actually done just that.
That’s right kids, President Bush is now responsible for what people think and how their brains function.
A few decades ago, people would go around saying, “The Devil made me do it”. Apparently, you can now do anything you want, and simply use the disclaimer, “Bush made me do it” and everything is a-ok. The ultimate is ridding yourself of any personal responsibility.
Folks the economy is in bad shape and we’re going to see a lot more of this to come over the next year or two.
If you don’t want to blame the politicians, whom do you want to blame other than the parents? Blaming just the parents is just not good enough.
I don’t think anyone’s hands are clean here.
Nowadays, mentioning the devil in public violates the “separation of church and state” (non-existent) clause of the First Amendment, so they have to blame it on something (someone) else.
So IF he was fired and the economy wasn’t bad and he killed his family then who HAS to be Blamed besides the person pulling the trigger? This isn’t new this has happened in good and bad economic times. This Person thought his family couldn’t live without him? He played God. Perhaps now he is somewhere learning why that was a BAD idea.

I’m not sure that we have been reading the same comments. I see in the comments above great sympathy for the children, including the belief/hope that the innocent children are in Heaven with the Lord. No hate there. We have almost universally expressed incomprehension at the father, with a side thought by some that his afterlife will not be pleasant for his sins. We have also expressed severe mistrust of politicians and the MSM based on their past ability to spin everything in bizarre ways. The closest to hate on this thread has been towards the stupidity of the press and politicians who seem to push their agendas above all else. (Note, that’s hate of the stupidity.)
You’re not implying that my hands are dirty. Are you?
Forgive Cristy Li. She’s hasn’t been the same since she and Billy Joel divorced.
Why is it not good enough? If the parents had just killed the kids and not themselves, your comment is akin to saying it wouldn’t be good enough just to throw the parents in jail for the crime. Someone else would have to go to prison, too, because they’re somehow culpable for these murders.
Yes they are. No one put a gun in Mr. Lupoe’s hands and told him to kill his family.
He made that tragic, and unnecessary, choice.
One must wonder how many illegal aliens were employed there, and as a result the higher-paid Americans were expendable.
An incoherent, mentally unstable, almost illiterate, man and his wife are both fired from positions in the healthcare field. Healthcare positions in which literacy and competence should be considered necessary and important…x-ray technician and mammmography technician. These people, whose characters were also in question, considering their “misrepresentation” of income information, lost their jobs due to some terminable offenses. They weren’t laid off due to a “bad economy.”
As the result of these incidents, one, or both, of these people decides that murder-suicide is the “only” answer. While the murders of those innocent children, and possibly the wife, are terribly tragic events, for liberal fools to blame “the economy” or “Bush” or whatever else, is tragic as well. Ervin Lupoe was incompetent and mentally deranged, and his wife apparently wasn’t competent enough to keep her job, either. People who cannot adequately perform the duties of their jobs shouldn’t be holding those jobs, regardless of what economic conditions exist. Would anyone with a functioning brain cell want Ervin x-raying any of their body parts, or Ana performing their mammogram? Good or bad economy, I want competent healthcare providers…don’t we all? Blaming “the economy” for this tragic situation is the way of a simpleton.
and you know this because….??????
Other (yes, tragic) stories in the ‘The Bad Economy Made Me Do It (or, at least partially ‘made me do it’…) Vein –

[...sigh]
This guy’s attitude is representative of the hordes of entitlement losers wanting a free ride from the taxpayer. Used to be in our country that hard work, education, dedication, faithfulness, etc. was how one got ahead. The hard lessons of failure served as opportunity to learn and overcome. Now there is a prevalent and pervasive mindset that Uncle Sam is supposed to ensure everyone (i.e. the losers) of the benefits of the responsible and hard working. This is nothing less than institutionalized thievery, folks.
You watch. This case will be used by Obama and the other leftists to help their agenda. Jesus said that the poor will always be among us. He was talking about losers who blame others for their problems. Now, Obama wants to reward those losers by taking our hard-earned money and giving it to them (in exchange for votes, of course).
So, now, what do those of us who are responsible to do about this? Are we at the point where the losers outnumber the responsible? If so, it will be impossible to out-vote them anymore. We now could be at the point where our wealth and way of life could be voted right out from under us, and there’s not a damn thing we can do about it. Oh we can call and write our representatives on this issue or that. We may win a few battles, but we’ll lose the war. Their mindset is against us because they are cowardly traitors who are motivated by moving up in the party. Believe me… When Mr. Smith goes to Washington, he is corrupted by go-along-to-get-along-ism. He becomes the party-crony that he set out to supplant. There’s enough dirt on all of them that they all work under a cloud of fear that they’ll be exposed. They take turns voting “yes” to conservative issues knowing that they won’t pass. They do this so that all of them can say that they’ve got a conservative voting record.
Oh well, I’m ranting now. I just hope that God raises up someone to galvanize the Conservative movement so that the Founders’ vision could be restored. There has to be a grassroots groundswell of prayer, planning, and action to get us back on track.
God, please help us.
…at the murdering @$$% who killed his beautiful children.
Your complaint is…?
MissCheryl,
You know that the most meriful LGM is just channeling the thoughts of a deranged lunatinc that killed his children….(and using the moral equailivancy card at the same time)
If I recall a famous lawyer did something simuliar; can’t recall if it was John Edwards or Ben Shapiro who said something simuliar to a jury during the trial of Du Pont and their silcone breast implants.
GSP
“This is Sparta!”
GSP – liberals – truly amazing..they say the darnest things…
This man murdered innocent children. I can’t believe it. Children. Why? Why? Why? I am thankful to know that all children belong to the Creator. But why did he have to murder them? Why is life so cheap? Why do so many people in our world consider children to be burdens? My God, why?
Cristy,
You may well be right about this man’s mental instability. Someone in my family has had several bouts of severe depression. I have been to Hell and back more than once because of this.
Nevertheless, the point of Michelle’s post and what we are addressing here is that leftists are trying to make political hay out of this. We are not casting stones or demonizing the Lupoes’.
All of us have the natural propensity to blame others for our problems. That doesn’t mean that we have to give in to it and let it characterize our lives. The point here is that the left wants to leverage this tendency into an excuse to grow the scope of government. Left unchecked, we’re eventually going to have a tyrannical dictatorship controlling every aspect of our lives.
#94 – it’s nothing new – children have been slaughtered since the beginning of mankind…I would attribute it to a Godless people lacking in spirituality, kindess, love, faith, and lacking godliness..course that’s just a guess. lgm thinks it’s the economy…
There’s a special place in hell reserved for people like Lupe and his wife.
somedamn body made me do it. i’m not responsible for five children, a crappy work record, a crappy attitude, or a crappy job. did i graduate from high school. by reading his letter, i find it hard to believe. sorry for the kids, the parents don’t deserve anything but scorn.
It is Bush’s fault of course !!!
I’m interested Ervin and Ana’s immigration status here. just curious, you know.
also, isn’t it interesting how some people choose to have multiple amounts of children regardless of their ability to care for them or feed them? then it’s everyone else’s fault when they can’t care for them or feed them and instead they decide to murder them (that’s just so American isn’t it? wait, no it’s NOT.
and to see the Rat King of the Invaders Tony VivaLaRaza run right out and spout his idiot nonsense and self-aggrandizing posturing over the dead bodies of these crazies was just so swell.
and sorry, all these posts about how the children are in a better place and “living” in heaven and all that – please. they’re dead. it was a savage murder of children by total cretins and to try to throw some kind of rationalized positive light on it just to feel better today is kind of childish IMO. can’t we just face bad news and be adults about it?
I think suicide should be legal (not child murder of course, just suicide in itself). we’d have a lot less mental illness and problems in our society if we let nature take its course. guess that’s why I’ll never be President. LOL
