Blah, blah, blah, Go, Go, Go, goood-bye

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 29, 2009 06:45 PM

Helmet Head is out. Impeached by the Illinois Senate by a unanimous vote of 59-0.

But what will become of The Children and The Elderly and The Vaccines?!!!!

Cue the goodbye song:

Have no fear, though. It’s an iron-clad guarantee that we haven’t seen the last of the Great Megalomaniac of the Midwest.

Actually, Blow-dry-o-vich spent very little time in Springfield. He never moved into the Governor’s Mansion, as he didn’t want to pull his kids out of their private school (though I can’t really blame him for not wanting to live in Springfield!). He did most of his work at the state office building in Chicago, and would routinely fly to Springfield on a state plane when he had business there.

Lest my fellow Illinoisans celebrate too quickly, the new Gov, Pat Quinn, immediately said that the people of Illinois (me) would have to “sacrifice” to pull us out of this mess (meaning a tax hike, of course). The Dems that run the state have wanted to boost the income tax for years, and Bloggo always resisted (about the only thing he did right).

Non-Chicago observers don’t understand the depth of Outfit involvement in the politics of Illinois. It’s on both sides of the aisle. Daley is the big fish in Illinois, Obama is just a sideshow. The unions are fronts for the Outfit as are cities and construction companies. Any talk threatens a lot of people.

Blago better cook his own food, and jog in the daytime. Be careful around the in-laws too, there are a couple of ‘made’ relatives at every get together.
