Operation Send a Pair: Buck up squishy Senate Republicans

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 29, 2009 12:15 PM

Conservatives have several staunch advocates in the Senate, but not nearly enough.

You will recall that GOP Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Jan. 4 made strangely positive noises about the Generational Theft Act of 2009 — prompting many on the Right to wonder if he had lost his, um, parts.

RedState and #dontgo have come to his aid with Operation Send A Pair.

No, not socks.

Erick Erickson explains the campaign and asks for your help here.

Come on people! We’re talking about a group of “Senators” that think that someone who has admitted to being too stupid to click ‘Next’ in TurboTax is a good choice for Secretary of the Treasury.

What could we possibly expect from them on something that’s meaningful?

Any Republican who is even thinking about supporting anything Obama does is sending the message that:
    1. They are corrupt and lie and just call themselves Republicans
    2. They are corrupt and wish they were Democrats so they’d be more liked.
    3. They are corrupt and like taking bribes
    4. They are corrupt and want to stay in Washington at any cost.
Next time, conservatives, don’t vote for incumbents; support new conservatives in your state!!!
A pox on the whole damn lot of them who are there now!!

It was easy to send him some balls from Amazon. That was fun. We should do this more often. Best $10 I’ve sent lately. Imagine when he gets a truckload of balls. If others on MM are going to do it, do it today so he gets it on time.

Then I emailed and faxed this letter:

    Dear Senator McConnell:

I urge you to oppose the stimulus bill. It is loaded with Democratic pork. It is the largest spending bill in history, which will come due on my grandchildren. It does virtually nothing to stimulate the economy in 2009. Most of the pork is in 2010 and 2012 in order support Democrat re-election and their union, NEA, and ACORN supporters.

I urge you and your fellow Republicans to vote no on and this bill. Having listened to your recent ramblings on bi-partisanship, I’m sending you some balls because apparently you’ve misplaced yours. Don’t fall for Obama’s words. Obama is not looking for bi-partisanship, he’s looking for Republican cover when this stimulus fails.

Just a friendly reminder: the word “bipartisan” is liberal doublespeak for, “do it the way Democrats want it done.” When I vote for a Republican/conservative, I DEMAND that he be conservatively partisan as is possible since that is the exact reason I voted for him. No more talk from conservatives about bipartisanship.

In this dire time I’d prefer to be writing to someone with the balls of Sarah Palin, but I’m stuck with you. Regardless, I learned a long time ago that one must go to war with the toolbag at hand, hence this mission statement to you.

This is a war for the soul of the nation and the very principles our founding fathers fought and died for. You are the voice of 57 million who didn’t vote for Barak Obama. We expect you to do what is necessary to prevent our nation’s slide into socialism. The Stimulus package is a Democratic pork soup sandwich. Your job is to vote against mortgaging Trillions of dollars of our children’s future earnings. If you have any tingling urges to reach across the isle, only do so if it is to b**ch slap someone.

    Vote no.

    Sincerely

My response to you is like that of Patroclus after the Greek god Apollo intervened on behalf of Hector during the Battle for Troy and knocked Patroclus’ armor and helmet off his body making him vulnerable to Hector’s blows:

and furthermore, if BO is so d@mn great, how come it required John McCain, RINOs, and a whoreish, slavish news and entertainment media to help him win by only a few million votes against a mere VP candidate doing the real fighting during the last campaign?
