Just ordered “Fireproof” on Amazon.

I think you'll really like it. It has a few surprising twists and turns, and a good musical score, too. Be sure to keep the kleenex handy!! :)

Gotta go for now. Take care.

Agreed. Palin has the intestinal fortitude we need. I like Jindal, too, he seems to be doing a great job for his state.

Another hurricane hit on his watch, and he showed us all how that kind of thing SHOULD be handled; no doing nothing and then blaming the President/the Feds when things go bad.

They are, indeed, two fine examples of "intestinal fortitude".

P.S. - Just ordered "Fireproof" on Amazon. A good Christian romance (which I understand it is) is just the ticket for Valentines!

I like that about Kirk Cameron...I had wondered what they did for the kiss scene, since I know he's a devout Christian. Glad to hear the news.

Very well! It’s still way too cold here (24 degrees for the high)…but life is good. Working on a HUGE Valentine card for each of my children w/a collage of pics…one down, one to go. Bought “Fireproof” for my hubby - he hasn’t seen it yet. If you haven’t, be sure to…great movie with a powerful Christian message.

Sounds like you're planning for a great Valentine's! Mine will be with my parents; belated birthday celebration, but there will also be Valentines and candy involved, I'm guessing :)

I noticed that "Fireproof" is out on DVD now; Kirk Cameron is an actor I've respected for some time now. I read that he wouldn't kiss the actress who played his wife (nothing against her; he just didn't want to kiss anyone but his REAL wife), so they brought his real-life wife in to double for that scene. Is it me, or is that mucho romantico?

When it comes to McCain, never before in my life have I seen someone take an opportunity that was being HANDED TO HIM ON A SILVER PLATTER, and then throw it down on the ground, stomp on it, and walk away smugly. The man should be horsewhipped for what he has done to all of us.
----------------------------------------

The Wright issue SHOULD have been a deal-breaker, but McCain refused to let anyone officially involved with his campaign touch it. The association with Ayers was more tenuous (although troubling as well). But, I repeat, Pres Obama CHOSE to attend that church and listen to that nonsense for 20-plus years, not to mention exposing his young daughters to it. If he had been a white Republican and the pastor had said anything - ANYTHING - that could possibly, by any stretch of the imagination, be taken as racist against blacks, forget about his presidential campaign; his political career would have been over.

Speaking of racial issues, he also tried to avoid bringing up Reverend (I hate to have to call him that) Wright, which, to me, was perfectly legit.
