Last night, Obama was partisan to the extreme.

His whole speech can be summed up with: “I won the election, now do what I say!” (stomps feet and pouts).

Hey, remember when Bush was elected? You didn’t fall in line, you were against the surge. The surge that, though you can’t say it, worked.

    Remember, dissent is patriotic. :)

It is like Obama is stuck in campaign mode. The porkulus package is a dismal failure. Even Obama’s rhetoric, fear mongering, and the MSM are not enough to prop up this stinker.

Obama doesn’t know what to do. He is toast. Rather than moving on, he is drawing a line in the sand on a losing battle. Hopefully Obama won’t do too much damage to this country in the next 4 years, when someone, anyone who runs against him, will beat him.

Obama will be even weaker than Carter.

But Obama’s moment is gone, and politics is about nothing if not moments.

The stimulus bill was a bridge too far, an overplayed hand, ten pounds of manure in a five-pound bag. The legislation’s primary duty was never to stimulate the economy, but to stimulate the growth of government, the scope of the state.

The stimulus bill was designed to give Democrats maximum maneuvering room. It would increase non-defense discretionary spending by more than 80 percent in a single year, in a single bill! Moving forward, they could grow government by smaller percentages while seeming to be responsible budget balancers. By putting chips on every square of social spending, they could let it ride for years to come.

Moreover, many actually believed Obama’s own hype. This was the moment for this, that and the other thing. This was the time when we, as Americans, were going to have our cake and eat it too. Future generations were going to look back and remember how Republicans and Democrats, cats and dogs, Klingons and Romulans came together and marched to the sunny uplands of history, where shopping carts have no wobbly wheels; airplane food is free, delicious, and filling; and we get all of our energy from 100 percent renewable Loch Ness Monster poop.

The economic crisis was almost too good to be true. Like FDR and Lyndon Johnson, Obama was poised to act on Rahm’s Rule of Crisis Exploitation in a way that would not only guarantee a newer New Deal and an even greater Great Society, but would also receive bipartisan approval. That’s why Obama wanted so much GOP support—so as to ratify the left turn to European-style social democracy, particularly when voters cottoned on to the con.

The fools in Congress need to be apprehended and thrown into jail before they can do any more damage.

My take on this is that the Democrats are truly worried about the current surge of opposition against this bill. Sure, they know that they’ll likely get it passed. However if they were so certain of the outcome of this bill, the President would not need to campaign for it to the American people like this.

This is the look of fear of reprisal.

This is why he says “this is not my proposal… or Nancy Pelosi’s proposal…”. He’s setting up the “economists” to be the scapegoats when this fails. He was hoping the bill would be more “bipartisan” so they could skirt the blame later.

And we’ve got four years of this to put up with. Pray for patience. And work like hell to get some control back in Congress.

Show how this bill is going to get any of those 500,000 people there jobs back.

According to the criticisms I’ve read, this bill, as written, would create few private sector jobs and posses the potential to become a pay-for-play bonanza for Democrats, enriching their coffers at all levels of government (fed, state local) through a system of awarding infrastructure contracts to firms that contribute huge sums to Democrat candidates.

At least once a week he spends time teaching profanity to underprivileged children. (Laughter and applause.) So he’s got a soft spot.

I saw that too. It looked like he was having a ball PLAYING President! Air Force One…Wow! This is such fun! I can fly in Air Force One, and ride limos and everyone bows down to me…how COOL is that? And his comment about teaching children profanity and actually thinking that is funny…how disgusting can you get? The leader of the free world lowering himself to say things like that. Seriously, how do you think that looks to the rest of the world? Not that I care about the rest of the world, but we are going to be a laughing stock again, like we were when Clinton and Lewinsky played their games in the Oval Office. Yuck!!

Air Force-1 or Marine-1 is a callsign and NOT an aircraft. If it’s an AF a/c and it is carrying the C-in-C of this country, it uses the callsign “Air Force One.” If it is a Marine a/c, it is “Marine One.”

It could be a Cessna 172 or a cropduster, when it is a military a/c and the President is riding, that is the callsign used. When the a/c moves without him in it, it DOESN’T use such a callsign.

Regardless, using a 747 to fly from DC to Langley AFB (most likely destination so the a/c could be properly protected and about a 30-minute drive from Williamsburg) is over the top.

There is a fleet of executive jets (Gulfstream, Lear-type, etc) available for use by BHO. However, he couldn’t carry an entourage with him in such a small a/c and hang the cost of fuel and operating a 747 for a short hop, he HAS to have his entourage with him, else his ego would go “Pop!”

Note how he HAD to tell the faithful he flew down there on the BIG jet! Basically he rubbed it in their faces that they had to drive or go in a small jet, he got to ride in style!

How petty! I am sick of it already, will the faithful ever get sick of it? Doubtful!
