The “compromise” is a crock of you-know-what; Sellouts on the Senate floor; Show us the bill

Scroll for updates…Sellouts on the Senate floor 7:30pm Eastern…

Gold-plated poop.

Details of GOP Sen. Susan Collins’ “compromise” “stimulus” proposal are coming out. This is a Mt. Kilimanjaro-sized crock of you know what. Total cost of this “pared down” bill is $1.175 trillion.

Let me repeat that: $1.175 trillion.

This figure does not include the nearly $50 billion added in Senate amendments during the last two days.

So in the name of fiscal responsibility, Collins and the B.O. Republican contingent are selling out America with a plan that costs $7 billion more than the House Crap Sandwich Supreme.

Are we ready to say the F-word* yet?

(*Filibuster)

***

Oh, and one more thing. Sen. Levin vows that the few cuts that have been made during Senate debate will be restored in the House-Senate conference.

Stimulus kabuki theater plays on….

***

Update 7:30pm Eastern. Sellouts are on the Senate floor. Harry Reid praising Sen. Collins.

Where is the “compromise?” Who has seen it?

When will the voters who will pay for it get to see it?

SHOW US THE BILL.

No backroom deals before a vote.

The economy will cruise like a ship with a sea anchor deployed.

Didn’t Spectre run against a strong conservative in the Republican primary a few years back and Bush did everything he could to defeat the conservative? My memory may be in error (I’m confident someone will inform me if I am), but if not, George “GoodMan(TM)” Bush strikes again.

Of course, the problem is what do we do now? I’m reminded of the times in Middle East whenever Israel won, the Arab streets would be filled with screaming “students” demanding to know: “Where are the Arab armies?!”

Well, that’s their problem. Right now we have one of our own: where are the armies of Conservative Lawyers?

Seriously, this is it. America falls, there is no place to run or hide. Best to stay here and fight back. We did not seek this fight, after all. Morally, we are completely in the clear.

    You posted “прощальный товарищ”.

“прощальный” is the nominative adjectival form of “farewell.” Therefore, it modifies the noun “товарищ” which means comerade. Which by the way wasn’t as commonly used as “гражданин” which means “citizen.”

I will continue faxes and e-mails to those in the leadership. I had no trouble sending faxes.

Their approval ratings have been below 15% for years and they just keep ignoring the expressed will of the people. I hope the majority of the people remember this fiasco in two years.

But, they will have two years to spin this and they may be able to dump the resulting economic misery at the feat of George Bush and those evil Republicans who voted against the “stimulus” that passed.

The American voter seems to be easily mislead. They have gotten away with this stuff before and they may be able to do it again.

How many times do we have to petition our government to stop injuring us? There’s not just this fiasco, which is a continuation of the fiasco started under Bush’s tenure, but there’s the borders, Ramos and Compean, SCHIP, and the continuing assaults on our liberties by dribs and drabs.

If they’re not listening to us, and do not regard us as more than serfs, I feel it’s time for talk of arms and resistance.
