What are they up to now?
I’m scheduled to appear on FNC’s Neil Cavuto show at around 4:15pm Eastern to talk about Obama’s next big step toward increased government meddling in the housing market. As I’ve been pointing out all week, the GOP’s bone-headed support for a massive mortgage entitlement plan is helping paving the way for this. The WSJ says much of what I’ve been saying in its editorial today.
I love what Dave Ramsey said yesterday on Neil’s show: “Desperate always reaps stupid.”
I want to point out again that only a handful of Republicans voted against the Ensign amendment yesterday. Only two of them — Jim DeMint and Jim Bunning — voted against it on fiscal conservative grounds.
Disheartening news. Ronald Reagan, whose birthday we celebrate today, must be shaking his head up above.

Michelle, is there anyway you can work in Obama’s tardiness into the conversation and oh yeah..if he’s late one more time, can we fire him?
Stupid is as stupid does, or in this case, legislate.
PANIC!!!!!
Or how about his propensity for chewing gum….in effort to cut his smoking habit.
I find it offensive he dictates to us about curbing healthcare costs while a cig dangles from his mouth.
This whole thing is why we really need to support Rep. John Shadegg’s ‘Enumerated Powers Act’.
Can you get a list of the names, Michelle? I have most of them on speed dial, but I want to be sure I’m not missing any of the weasels!
It just so happens that Harry Reid really wants this vote to happen on a Friday night. Of course. Since very few people watch the news on Saturday (or read a Saturday paper)…this vote if it passes, will be just another thing that 90% of the Americans didn’t even know happened. Freaking Commies.
Unfortunately, three tardies only make one before-school detention… but if he’s late to detention, then we get to double it.
Dead or Alive Info also lists today as Sarah Brady’s birthday. Talk about irony.
Happy birthday, Gipper. Please forgive our party in exile.
Sarah Brady…. Sarah Brady…. lets see, Jan… Marsha… Cindy….
Was that Florence Henderson’s character?
And this is why I like to say I’m a brown-coat, they meddle…
I purchased a home in OK in 2007 for $155K….value today $145K…the original asking price was $165K from the builder…Since the wife is getting laid off I may have to sell or just let the mortgage co. take it back…I’m on disability and fixed retirement…avg days on market in my area 151..ooops…thanks clinton and bush and wallstreet…
Speaking of “desperate always reaps stupid”, notice how quickly President Obama has changed his message of hope to a message of fear:
And I thought Republicans held the patent on fear mongering.
tiredofit08 – you are in our prayers. My daughter’s last day on her job is today. She’s in Dallas and scared to death. What jobs there are there are being offered at cuts of $10,000 a year in some industries.
The only solution I can see to get this massive spending spree resolved is for the bill to pass. Not for any of the reasons the Dems are offering though. By 2010 is will be such a dismal failure that even some of ‘Bambi’s supporters will jump ship. By 2012 we’ll have bread/soup lines, along with the requisite robberies, looting, and genuine chaos. No food bank on the planet will be able to feed the number out of work and homeless. Things are looking very grim.
Michelle, I have a question I haven’t heard anyone ask yet. All of Obama’s financial advisers are wealthy Americans who seem to support, or encourage the strengthening of U.S. financial markets by spending money on expanding government. Here is my question:
Which of Obama’s advisers have created their personal wealth by investing their money on government spending?
Am I wrong in thinking that their wealth came as a result of capitalism, not socialism?
Hopefully not THAT SARA BRADY. But my next brick of ammo will be dedicated to the Bradys’.
What are they up to now?
Three choices:
