I’ve spent the past four nights trying to gird my loins.

Is there some trick to it? Cause all I’ve managed to do is give myself a wedgie, a hernia, and, in some attempts, a good time.

If they’re going to call for loin girding, the least they can do is tell us HOW.

For Pasadena Phil, try joining a local credit union and establishing a credit rating there. As a shareholder/member, you usually get a better rate and more of a fair review.

That’s me. Held onto my Navy Fed membership when I got out of the Corps. Had it for 15 years now. They offer great rates on home loans.

Funny how that dissent is only a healthy prescription for a balanced government when a liberal is doing it in some fashion like burning the flag, or calling for the death of the President (Bush) or the Veep (Cheney), turning over vehicles and setting them on fire, throwing bricks thru windows, defacing federal property & military recruiting offices, or burning down entire neighborhoods. Now if we simply disagree with Obama on something like his ‘stimulous’ plan, which could literally destroy our economy in the long term, he considers us to be unpatriotic.

Sigh. The Scarlet letter for liberals (particularly for Obamabots) should be an ‘I’. For ‘Idiots’.

I still think the conservatives need to introduce legislation to suspend all withholding taxes for people earning under $40k a year… for the chilllllren.

Beat the damn collectivists at their own class-warfare game… those poor people need every penny of what they earn! And they need it NOW. Not in the form of a REFUND CHECK from the government!

Don’t they care about the single-mother waitresses in this country?

This travesty has been called Crap Sandwich, Porkulus, etc. Since this bill is primarily a payoff to the special interest groups that have supported the Democrats, I would like to offer yet another name which I believe best descibes its socalist objectives.

The Comprehensive Constituents Compensation Program (CCCP) for short. The bill is best read with The International playing in the background.

If you were born after 1980 this might not register with you.

Now is the time to call the LOCAL offices. You can leave messages here, when the DC lines are stuffed to the gills.

I called every local office of the reps in my state. Sent postcards.

Ask if the reps have read this bill. It takes an entire ream of paper to print it out. Has anyone read it?

The more we fuss, the more it will be delayed and the more dust bunnies will come out from under the couch.

We are so porked!!! Our eleced officials don’t want to listen to us. They didn’t listen when we said not to pass the TARP and they don’t want to listen to us now.

Exactly how I feel. It’s no longer waiting 4 years until it’s over; it’s knowing the USA is doomed and being unable to get anyone with any power to listen and stop it.

Any so called Republicans that votes for, negotiates in anyway for this funding of socialism should be expelled from the RNC and now! No money, no support of any kind to these types of fools. That applies also to the rino’s that supported the TARP crapsand also…only 1 way to clean up the party and get it back on it’s feet, cut out the traitors, Mr. Steele…all of them.
America became the powerful and great country it is because of capitalism, not socialism, they cannot forget that.

I also believe the best course is to leave the economy alone and let it sort out the winners and losers (just like they should leave businesses and banks alone).

That said, I would not be so ridiculously over wrought IF the proposal actually made some sense like with true infrastructure projects that would create jobs for reasonable pay and add value to the USA.

What galls me the most (of the things I’ve heard) is the spending on the Arts programs, Amtrak, ACORN, Home Land Security Furniture, green cars for government employees and dozens of other projects that only build government (and their perks) and add no jobs or value.

I wonder what planet I’m on that has people in government who didn’t do their jobs when it came to overseeing banks, didn’t do their jobs when it came to overseeing Bernard Madoff and didn’t do their jobs in overseeing Henry Paulson – and yet we vote to give them $1 trillion to see what they will do with that.
