Savior holds first fear-mongering press conference

By Michelle Malkin  •  February 9, 2009 07:57 PM

The wealth-redistributor-in-chief, his High Holiness, is set to begin his first official prime-time press conference at 8pm Eastern.

Will he go all Howard Dean?

Will he get snippy?

Drinking game buzzwords: “Bipartisan,” “crisis,” “get the economy moving again,” “create jobs.”

Add your own.

Update 8:05pm Eastern. President Obama. “It is only government that can break the vicious cycle.”

Jobs, jobs, jobs. Investment, investment, investment.

Gag. President Obama claims to be acting on behalf of my children and grandchildren.

Stop, thief.

Update 8:13pm Eastern. Obama dissing those who have criticized FDR’s growth-stifling interventions. Attempts to shut down and whitewash the economic dissenters. It’s the Obama way.

8:15pm Eastern. BOHICA. Obama says trillion-dollar porkulus is “just one step.” Mentions Geithner initiatives still to come…here comes the new mortgage entitlement.

8:40pm Eastern. Huffington Post has a seat in the WH press conference room. Nutroots membership has its privileges.

8:58pm Eastern. Obama lectures conservatives: “People need to break out of their ideological rigidity.”

Repeatedly insists that there is no dissent among economists about his porkulus.

I repeat: President Obama, you can’t stifle this dissent.

Ends the press conference: “Thank you, guys.”

To quote Twitter conservative Lea Hendry Valle:”I’ll be holding onto my ideological rigidity until they pry it from my cold dead fingers.”

President Obama. “It is only government that can break the vicious cycle.”

While Marxism is on the march, and winning (a more apt name for the “Cold War” would be “Cold Battle”), most don’t even realize that we’re at war. Though many think Obama is an idiot for not understanding the economic ramifications of this “stimulus” package, I’d argue that what we’re seeing is the fruits of a plan dating back to the 1920s.
We’re missing the ball here folks. Look past the rhetoric for one minute. We can all see the obvious economic flaws of this “stimulus” bill. We see the obvious effect Obama’s rhetoric is having. We see the results of past programs like this: yes, the economics, but think past that. Think about the power and control aspect of this. How many of the programs that we have today in our government have come from times like these? Social security? Welfare? Look at how big our government has gotten through the EPA, HUD Dep., Labor Dep., Health and Human Services, the FDA, CPS, Dep. of Education… Now he’s saying that “only government” is the solution?
It’s interesting, from an art of war perspective, how economic Marxism and cultural Marxism have now come together. (Economic: poor vs. rich; Cultural: changing the fabric of the nation.) We are seeing the results of the combined effects of the Marxist illiteracy cult (control of state-run schools) and sensuality cult (control of the cinema). If you don’t believe my words, that’s fine. I leave you with the words of those whose ideas are coming to fruition.
“By psychopolitics our chief goals are effectively carried forward. To produce a maximum of chaos in the culture of the enemy is our first most important step. Our fruits are grown in chaos, distrust, economic depression and scientific turmoil. … With it you can erase our enemies as insects… Use the courts, use the judges, use the Constitution of the country, use its medical societies and its laws to further our ends. … And bring to Earth, through Communism, the greatest peace Man has ever known.” ~ Lavrenti Beria, Lenin University, in a 1933 address to a group of American/Marxist Psychology Students
“The family in crisis produces the attitudes which predispose men for blind submission.” ~ Max Horkheimer, former President of the Frankfurt School (Marxist think-tank)
“Literacy is the greatest obstacle to socialism.” ~ John Dewey (“Father of Progessive Education”; taught by G. Stanley Hall, who drew greatly from Ernst Haekal’s erroneous ideas dealing with embryo development)
“To prepare society for psychological control, the very soul of the individual must be destroyed in its youth by disturbing it with evil via forced schooling and media.” ~ György Lukács (learned from Dewey)
“I saw the revolutionary destruction of society as the one and only solution to the cultural difficulties [Christianity].” ~ György Lukács
“A quiet revolution can be dispersed throughout a culture over a period of time to destroy it from within. Mass psychology and media can break the traditions, beliefs and morals and the will of a nation so there is no possibility of resistance.” ~ Antonio Gramsci
“Socialism is precisely the religion that must overwhelm Christianity. … In the new order, Socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches and the media by transforming the consciousness of society.” ~ Antonio Gramsci
“The civilized world has been thoroughly saturated with Christianity for 2,000 years and a culture based on this religion could only be captured from within. By winning cultural hegemony, men could be made to love their servitude.” ~Antonio Gramsci
“Until man is convinced that the world has been abandoned by God, there will be no revolution.” ~ György Lukács
“Of all the arts, the motion picture is the most important.” ~Vladimir Lenin
“This weapon [cinema], which cries out to be used, is the best instrument for political propaganda, which cuts into the memory and may be made a possible source of revenue.” ~ Leon Trotsky
“We are obliged… to make amusement a weapon of collective education. The cinema competes with the church. This rivalry may become fatal for the church. The cinema liberates you from the need of crossing the church door. Here is an instrument we must secure at all costs.” ~ Severneya Pravda
Sun Tzu had it right: “To subdue the enemy without fighting is the supreme excellence.”

Give one historical instance when Keynesian economics worked.
    TARP was not Keynesian economics

Then what is TARP money and where does it come from?
OH! I know. It’s to by up toxic assets. Right?

I have some War stamps and a few bonds, from my grandparents. I think the current population that voted for the One couldn’t handle that now, hence the giveaway at taxpayer expense for generations.

Keynesian economic policy attempts to smooth out the business cycle by spending during recessions and cutting back during booms.

The financial crisis was not really a recession (or a boom). The goal of TARP was not to stimulate growth, but rather to prevent a collapse of a financial system.

Yes, you are correct that the money for TARP came from the government. But not all government spending is Keynesian economic policy. If you don’t accept that, I suppose this conversation is over.

He is a Marxist, his handlers and associates are Marxists and he uses whatever means possible to advance his ideology. Fabian,Trotsky,Alinsky
His actual father was most like Frank Marshall Davis and he exhibits signs of classic narcissism.

I love it when the pundits dismiss all of this out of hand as if they know it all. There is a lot more evidence for this, than against it.

Caring about our country seems to be the least of his concerns and the “Wasted Talent Media” is enabling disaster for this country!

I have read many comments from those that legally immigrated here from the repressive regimes that we fear and they recognize what is happening so clearly.
They have heard and seen this all before.

Read what Frank Marshall Davis was all about and you will know what Obama is all about. The title of his book is his subliminal warning to us, no doubt authored with a smirk by Bill Ayers!

Two interesting videos and short commentary:

Did Anyone See This Collapse Coming? Yup!
Shiff knows and says what many are unwilling to admit. This crisis is not about greedy Wall Street execs (though there’s plenty of that). This is about fundamental flaws in the American economy. This is about people living beyond their means. This is about living on credit. This is about a lesson that all of us (me included) must learn if things are to be different in the future. Moreover, the current attempts to borrow and spend (by the government) our way out of a problem brought on by borrowing and spending (by the people) is absolutely insane! What’s amazing is that the men and women who mocked Schiff are still guests on these shows while Schiff is virtually unknown. Think about how many times you’ve heard the phrase “economists agree” as of late (especially when trying to sell us on the “Stimulus” plan). This video will demonstrate that going with the majority of economists can be utter folly.

You’re right, Send_Me, and your comment is an excellent one.

I think a majority of the commenters here at MM realize that the Marxists in our own country are at war with us.

Not the least of which is Che Obama

Soviet Ideological Subversion traces its roots to Sun Tzu.

It has four steps, which have been applied systematically to country after country after country:
    1) Demoralization
    2) Destabilization
    3) Crisis
    4) Normalization

Manufactured Crisis is being used to pass legislation which further destabilizes our nation until we reach the true crisis stage. From there, either of two paths (Civil War or Invasion) lead to Communist “Normaliation”.

What can be done to reverse this process?

The answer (don’t just take my word for it, listen to all 7 parts of Yuri Bezmenov’s lecture) is the RE-moralization of our country.

Some call that “revival”. Ronald Reagan called it
“a spiritual awakening and a moral renewal”.

It’s like watching a darker skin-toned version of Ross from the show “Friends” trying to play President.

Oh don’t let dear leader hear you say that. The o told us several times over the last week that stimulus is spending and spending is stimulus.

You’ve just made the Conservative’s point. The Pork bill is the wrong type of spending; and indeed all spending is not stimulative.

Government spending is notoriously WASTE. For every $1.00 they “spend” on Welfare” somewhere around $0.25 makes it into the hand of the recipient. Yeah, it provided a job or two along the way but not really a productive job that actually added value to anything.

Take that $1.00 and put it in the hand of the consumer (through a tax cut which creates no jobs but also adds no admin expense) and the consumer spends an whole $1.00, creating a demand for more goods and services that the consumer purchases.

    Above the law-
*Accepting illegal campaign contributions from overseas?

*Didn’t Hillary vote for a pay raise while senator, for a position that she now holds, disqualifying her per law?

*Like interfering in private contracts of executives? Isn’t that unconstitutional?

*What about your funny financing with Rezco on your home in Chicago?

*Hiding your records to avoid the supreme law of the land like our Constitution?

*How was it you traveled to Pakistan when other “Americans” were not allowed?
