I reflected back to a previous argument that we were having and I wanted clarification on why, during the election you asked me how my fight to save Israel was going. The context wasn’t Palestine, or Lebanon or Judaism, it was that Obama was talking about withdrawing troops from Iraq and McCain was going to stand firm until the USA could achieve it’s objectives. I wanted to pin you down on what you were saying but you scurried for the fridge.

   So flash forward. Tonight I asked you:
   Something I am still curious about, you once asked me how my fight to defend Israel was going. What did you mean by that?
   You evaded with:

   Pinning you down I got:

   Nope, several people have called you on that behavior, and you simply can’t look in the mirror.

   Well, I believe Israel is quite capable of protecting itself. I believe that the US acts as a restraining influence, inhibiting Isreal from doing what it should do in its own best interests. I don’t believe that the US should be involved in a war for Israel.

   OTOH, I don’t think we invaded Iraq on Israels behalf. I think we did so for good reasons of US realpolitik, and I strongly supported that invasion.
