There was one concoction that struck me as the perfect metaphor for Washington’s generational theft recipe.
The perfect metaphor for the desperation-drenched, larded-up “stimulus” vehicle. Even better than Crap Sandwich Supreme.
It’s Turbaconducken: A chicken inside a duck inside a turkey, all wrapped in bacon.
Chicken Littles joining with Turncoat Republicans ducking fiscal responsibility delivering a turkey of a bill, all wrapped in bacon.

One way to kill this porkulus, even after Obama signs it, is to show that it is unconstitutional because the POTUS was unconstitutional… a usurper who is not a Natural Born Citizen.
Perhaps now, for your children’s sake, you have a reason to care about Obama’s original birth certificate?

TXGator, I’m hoping you’re wrong. I’m hoping not even Dems and libs would be dumb enough to believe in the wisdom in a one-party state … oh wait, yeah, I would.
The writing may be on the wall, but it ain’t on the reservation card yet. This nation isn’t going down without a fight. A ridiculously uphill battle, yes, but a fight worth waging.
So the question is: why not boot the turncoat senators from the party? They’ve been historically unreliable in other situations. We can’t count on them for anything in the future either. Yes, it gives the Democrats the “Official” 60 seats they need, but they seem to have that anyway. On the plus side, it takes a firm and *meaningful* stand (something the Republicans seem deathly allergic to), and it allows them to wash their hands completely of the Spendicus package. Drastic action, but I think that’s what’s called for now.
All that’s missing is a carton of cigarettes.

Seriously, though, most people in this country still believe in personal responsibility. Even most of the Obamatards I talk to prefer that. The Republican’s haven’t really stood for limited government in over a decade – they’ve been the Coke to the Democrats’ Pepsi. Until they provide a real contrast, why should anyone support them? Personally, I’m not that wound up that Obama got elected because I don’t think McCain would be that different (maybe we’d have a $100 Billion less in the package – whoopdey freaking doo).
Oh yeah – before you start tying a noose in your closet, remember that we had to go through Carter to get to Reagan. The Republican party needs to be flushed out first. The sooner we start, the sooner it gets done. It’s been put off for years and years because people think that any Republican is better than a Democrat. That sort of mentality got us here. It’s time to stop supporting the big spenders even if it means losing the seat for a few years.

There is really no reason why we should even have to take that step, though. Obama promised to be the most transparent IN HISTORY, so if he is a man of his word he should be transparent and release his original birth certificate. But he’s not, so he won’t.

I think the Turbaconducken is not quite the perfect symbol for the Stimulus Package. While it IS wrapped in bacon, the TurBaconDucken is only about 10% pork.
Now if you stuffed a tiny Cornish game hen
-into a suckling pig
-into a 200 lb hog,
-into one of those State Fair sized 2000lb hogs,
you would begin to approach the level of pork in that abominable bill.
When someone steals your kid’s social security number and opens credit cards in their name that person is sought, hopefully found, and prosecuted. What is the difference here, aside from the fact the government is doing it?
Is there good in the stimulus package that will create jobs? Probably so. Is there pork and waste? Most assuredly so. The problem is no one is being singled out and made to feel pain as Congress is hiding behind the authority of the group. We need to conquer and divide. The same way ACORN singles out individual Bankers and hounds them until they break, we need to single out Congressmen and hound them till they are afraid to show themselves in public.
A lot has been said about the three Republicans that voted yes. They are just the useful idiots. The real culprits are the criminals that larded the pork into the Stimulus package. We need to pick 4-5 examples of the most atrocious wastes of Stimulus money and target them ruthlessly. The names of the sponsors that introduced the item into the Stimulus bill need to be published. They need to be hounded daily to explain why they larded the bill with waste. Hounded not for days, but never endingly hounded for weeks and months. Hounded not at home, but at their office and at their public appearances. They need to be pestered until they have to change the phone numbers and addresses of their congressional office. Out of the 57 million that voted no for Obama there must be enough of us that can divide the task and take turns phoning, emailing, letter writing, showing up at their public appearances, and showing up at their congressional offices.
If 1000 people stood outside the Washington DC or State offices of Congressman X with protest signs stating “King of Lard” it would get press and it would get the attention of Congress. Congressmen would be put on notice that they would be individually accountable for their back room deals.
200 years ago minutemen dropped their plows and assembled to protect a fledgling nation. Would I take vacation from work, pay my expenses to Washington, and spend a week standing outside a Congressman’s door protesting a Lard provision he sponsored? Yes, but I individually would be labeled a fool. If a thousand of us showed up the same week. It would be noteworthy. If a second thousand showed up the following week, it would be cause for concern. If a third thousand showed up the third week, it would be a movement. And we keep showing up until two things happened. First, the Lardster must publically apologize for his Lardness. Second, they must take a public oath to be judicious with the expenditure of our dollars. Only then will we go away.
Simultaneously do this to 4-5 of the most wasteful spenders, and do it within the next month, and we will get nation-wide attention. There is a lot of complaining all across the web sphere. However complaining is just words. Direct action is needed. Is there enough of us to turn on the heat and personalize the most egregious spenders with loud and public protests of their Lard, nonstop till they break?
Appetizing. Just like the ‘PeloReidbama’ wrapped in ‘RINO’ that we are about to be fed.
I forgot to give the recipe for a ‘PeloReidbama’. Here goes.
Ingrediants:
1 – overdone, left-coast dingbat marinaded in silicone and Botox.
1 – dried-up, prunish windbag (wash thoroughly to remove any traces of desert sand and/or lingering corruption of shady real estate deals from his many crevasses).
1 – big-eared Messiah (make sure that he is stuffed quite full of himself).
4-6 – RINOs who have their heads firmly inserted in their posteriors (tug on their heads to make sure – the recipe may fail if not heads firmly inserted!).
You may use the balance of Congressional idiots for a garnish.
1) Mix first three ingrediants together and season with a healthy dose of MSM’s ‘Savior Savor’.
2)Let mixture marinate over the course of a presidential campaign season (one to two years)You can add large dose of lies and mistruths, but they will probably be included with all three items right out of their packages.
3) Wrap marinated ingrediants (do not worry about trying to remove lies as their taste will be masked by the MSM seasoning) in at least four layers of RINO.
4) Add final seasoning of liberal B.S. to ‘PeloReidbama wrapped in RINO’.
5) Bake in glow of MSM admiration (convection oven is unnecessary as the hot air generated from sources like MSNBC will adequately provide browning) at around 838 billion dollars for as long as it takes to deceive the public while completely destroying the economy for years to come.
Garnish liberally (couldn’t help myself!) with remaining Congressional idiots and serve up to American taxpayers with sides of ‘Socialism slaw’ and ‘Bankrupt beans’.
Enjoy your meal. Please remember that no matter how much you try to cover the taste of this dish with platitudes for the ‘Dear Leader’, it will still taste like a Crap Sandwich.
Ugh! As the object in that photo can hardly be called food, that pile of papers those fools voted on can hardly be called “legislation”.

I’m amazed that more RINO’s aren’t joining Obama. Then again, if there is one thing that defines RINO’s: they’re opportunists. They can see the writing on the wall for this one, and don’t want to be caught up in the fireball.

Every time that Obama says “George Bush nearly DOUBLED the National Debt,” he scores. Every time. If he followed that statement with “and I’m a little teapot,” nobody would notice.
That one phrase has almost talismanic powers for a very simple reason: it’s true. Demoncrats will lie, and lie, and lie, and lie – but when they say one ugly truth about RINO’s they score BIG.
The knuckle-draggers who support them will wake up, groggy, and say… “Hey… that’s RIGHT! George BUSH DOUBLED THE DEBT!”
Then they’ll ask “what’s a debt?” and go back to American Idol, but it doesn’t matter.
George Bush and his RINO pals (including the Sr. Senator from Arizona) DID double the debt. They’ve done FAR MORE damage than Obama is currently doing, thus giving Obama a “get out of jail free” card.
Will Obama administer the coup de grace? Of course. He and his pals will continue to rape the treasury until there’s nothing left to take. They will bleed you, your children, and your grandchildren to death.

I figure the debt is kind of irrelevant after this bill passes because we can never repay it. The country will be functional bankrupt unless we get a massive revenue source outside of taxation or we simply print the money.
At this point I am seeking cover from the fallout because the nuke has already gone off.
sonofdy – I gotta agree with you. We can’t pay off the debt we have NOW, never mind this trillion dollar plus package, current deficit and expected deficits. Then add in all out unfunded liabilities like social security, government healthcare. There is simply no way to pay it back.

I’m afraid you’re right. This grand experiment in self-determination is over. I tried to warn about this two years ago.
These next 2 years are vital to the future of this country. For 2007 we must make certain that McCain/Kennedy or whatever it’s called this year does not pass the House. It will pass the Senate. The President will sign it, followed by the Totalization Treaty with Mexico, which qualifies former illegals with just 6 qtrs(18 mo) even if worked illegally, the benefits that we had to work 40 qtrs(10 yrs) to qualify for.
In 2008 we must make the candidates address border security and immigration enforcement.
20-30 million citizens of other countries are in our country illegally, 55% from Mexico, most of the rest from other Central and South American countries. Let’s not ignore the leftward voting trends of these countries. It is notable that they picked May Day, an old communist day of celebration for their marches.
Most polls show at least half of the American citizens of Hispanic descent want the borders and laws enforced. Republicans will not win by alienating their current voters to get 40% of a new small block that will grow very large, very fast if amnesty is granted. That will grow the Democrats vote larger and faster as the influx increases exponentially as the result of another amnesty. It will spell the end of the Republican Party. The people who used to vote Republican will stop voting or form a new party. Conservatives will lose political influence and we will slide inexorably towards socialism (it has already started).
Democratic party “ethics”??? I know, I laughed as well.
