The Senate is about to pass the Turbaconducken stimulus package. Sen. Schumer took to the floor about 20 minutes ago to fear-monger. He referred shamelessly to the “economic 9/11″ and wagged his bony finger at Republican dissenters.
“You lost,” Sen. Schumer sneered. Besides, he taunted, the “American people really don’t care” about all those “little tiny, yes, porky amendments” that the “chattering classes” have exposed:
Sixteen seconds packed with trademark liberal contempt, self-delusion, and oily arrogance.
Easy to claim the American people “don’t care” when your voicemail and e-mailboxes are clogged with messages that will never be heard or read before the next rush to judgment takes place.

President Obama is also turning up his nose at millions of Americans skeptical of this colossal rip-off.
Pressing for urgency, President Barack Obama ventured into another hard-hit, Republican-leaning area on Tuesday to prod Congress to stop debating an emergency economic deal and just get it done.
Coming off a prime-time news conference, Obama was holding his second town hall event in as many days. The tenor of his remarks was to be much the same as Monday’s in another economically staggering area, Elkhart, Ind., which is also a Republican stronghold.
En route to Florida, Obama said “The American people don’t need to be convinced” about the need for action.
There is no dissent in Obama’s America.

Anti-climax: 12:46pm Eastern. The final passage vote in the Senate on Turbaconducken: 61-37. The Turncoat Caucus – Specter, Snowe, and Collins – joined the Dems. Cornyn came back from his NYC trip to cast a no vote. Gregg abstained.
Now, it’s off to the House-Senate conference backrooms to stuff more pork back in.

It sounds like Demarcates have divided their constituency into two don’t-care classes. One seems to be the, I-don’t-care-what-you-do-just-keep-my-welfare-payments-coming-besides-I-don’t-have-the-will-or-capability-to-understand-anyway class, and the other seems to be the, I-don’t-care-what-you-do-because-either-my-parents-or-me-are-wealthy-enough-or-I’m-tenured-into-my-job-enough-that-I-don’t-have-too, class.
The rest of the American people are, as Schumer so eloquently puts it, the chattering class. I can’t imagine that any of the Founding Fathers would be so arrogant or disdainful about the people they were sent to the Nation’s Capitol to represent. I don’t even get that vibe from the far left Palosi or even the Clintons.
It’s definitely a huge red flag that the Democrats are using the the term “class” for different groups of people’s political views now.

Well, it’s back to the old FDR days, except blaming everyone on Hoover has been replaced with blaming everything on Bush. This so-called “stimulus” bill is nothing more than a “de-stimulus” bill. Investors are going to hang on to their money, never knowing what will happen tomorrow. Companies are going to have to let employees go to keep in business. Meanwhile, me and many other people will be back to the 16 hour workday so we can survive the Obama era. All of this mess is so power-hungry people can feed their obession of control. This type of “government action” has never been any help at all, over our history. It’s insane to think that, if you keep doing what you’re doing, somewhat the result will be different. Mr. Schumer, not only do we care, but we’re scared to death!
Schumer is just one of the reasons I will NOT be flying Old Glory for the next four years. The man is evil to his core and yet the people of New York vote for them.
Schumer likens Conservative Radio to pornography and relegates our Constitution to the dust bin of history as the “writings of 18th century WAPS”.
Schumer, as with all Leftist, does not love what I love.

If the GOP had governed as conservatives when they were in power, we would have never gotten to the point where Obama, Reid and Pelosi would have the opportunity to jam this travesty down our throats.

More or less thats what you would have to do, the conservitive movement is not popular on its social ground as this is an era where people want to do what is base or easy. They don’t want upright morals they don’t want to fight, they don’t even know what to fight for. Heck I’m not even a full conservitive as some issues in reguards to race and immigration a small number of conservitives hold on to. And the fact in economics I’m a statist. I just know liberal control is worse. Should a highly unpopular rightist racial goverment (worst the right can make) takes hold that will be taken down. However a liberal utophia where it all is moral decay, there is no way to remove it short of external invasion, or enternal revolution based on a system of fear by a small number, such as how the Taliban did in Afghanistan.
Someone recently posted that Schumer is pure evil and I totally agree. That being said, there is something supernatural going on here, something far beyond mere politics. I’ve suggested this before on this thread, and perhaps was held up to much scorn and ridicule. Nevertheless, I will say it again. I cannot debate your point except to offer an observation that may have been lost over time. Ross Perot PROVED there can never be a third party. The Donks and Pachyderms prevented him from participating in debates. Even if Perot won every state, the Electoral College(???) would not cast a vote for him as they are Donks and Pachyderms. There will never be anything but a two party system. I submit that there seems to be a one party system now so, maybe we will get our shot at a second. I doubt it.

It is amazing how so many people just don’t get it. Michelle is an advocate of conservative principles. When the GOP strays from conservative principles she nails them. She joins Rush and Sean and several other commentators in this regard.
I no longer consider myself a Republican. I didn’t vote for my RINO House member in the last three elections. He wasn’t worth supporting.
I did vote for the GOP Senate candidate in 2008 because he appeared to be an actual conservative and I was unsure of the “Independent Green” candidate even though that is the local affiliate of the Constitution Party in Virginia. I am just not sure about her conservative credentials.
I probably would have voted for Romney or Thompson had they won the primary. But I was never going to vote for John “I hate free speech and love illegal immigrants” McCain! I knew that in 2003 after McCain-Feingold. I think most conservatives knew they couldn’t vote for the man way back then too.
The best thing you could say about John McCain is that he isn’t quite as socialist as Obama. But, if you look at what he stood for leading up to the election it would be hard to demonstrate that he was much less of a socialist than Obama.
This site is about promoting conservative ideas, not Republican ones. There is a difference and if you don’t get it you should do us all a favor and cut up your voter registration card and go sit in the corner.

Pandering to citizens of other countries illegally in our country while telling us we must be vigilantes if we object to illegal aliens ignoring our borders and laws. Mel Martinez was RNC Chairman to ensure an open borders candidate in ‘08. They were determined to nominate an amnesty candidate, even if it meant losing the election. The cheap labor express will be kept running, regardless of the consequences, to party or country.

these scumbags with rare exception are totally out of touch with the average American. They haven’t a clue how they live or what is happening to them or their families….what should be a requirement is to live with one of their constituents for a month a year…eat their food, drive to their work, work their hours, live on their salary and see how they fair….you can bet most of these so-called elected officials couldn’t do it, they’d be back in their gated communities in the mansions in days….
