And now: Julio gets a job

By Michelle Malkin  •  February 11, 2009 01:44 PM

The savior-based economy comes through again. Obama cult worshiper Julio — the McDonald’s worker in Ft. Myers who complained about his benefits yesterday at the president’s revival meeting — has a new gig.

“I have never felt this good except maybe when I got my Playstation3 for Christmas.”
Then came his interviews with CNN, other networks and local TV stations.

“I couldn’t believe it,” his mother, Sarah, said. “He worked really hard at that. He is like that, he doesn’t plan, he just does it.”

He also picked up another job — if just for a day — as the color announcer for the Fort Myers Miracle baseball team’s radio broadcast for its home opener April 10. The one-day gig typically pays $25, but the Miracle said the salary is negotiable.

“I’ll be ready,” he said about his debut.

After all, Osegueda is studying to be a broadcaster or disc jockey.

Move over, Olbermann. Here comes Julio.

Gracious God!

Kudos to your daughter. Menial jobs are a stepping stone, those with ambition move up and out.

The Left believes that minimum wage jobs are human rights abuses by evil corporations and their solution for “equality” is to force employers to pay $30 an hour for that job.

Yes, McDonald’s does give serious opportunities for advancement. You can go from minimum wage to salaried store manager in a pretty short time frame.

But if Julio’s story checks out – he started when he was 15, and is only 19, he wouldn’t be getting promoted to store manager after his first two years – he’d only be 17.

If this guy is in school, I assume he is only working part time with a quirky schedule. At best, right now he could probably only get a promotion as an hourly shift manager.

    Just trying to be fair.

    you’re right, he’s a victim of racistsexistbigotedhomophobic white REPUBLIKKKANS…

you should send him a personal bailout…with your own money…

You might want to get the voices in your head under control. That’s a quote from the article that shows how many hours he’s working a week. Trollman said he’s probably working a quirky schedule as a college student and that quote showed how many hours he’s working.

Joe the Plumber asked hussein a valid question to determine his redistributionist politics. He would like to be able to keep more of HIS hard-earned money and distribute it as HE sees fit. He is the one who worked hard for it. He wants to be responsible for his own life. And he never asked anyone to pay his back taxes.

Julio the Mooch asked bussein for medical coverage to be paid by other people’s hard work. He is blaming who knows what for his not being able to find another job and not looking at the fact that acting like a totally lunatic freakazoid just might be an issue to most employers.

    NO moral equilvalence.

If he was given the job as the Rays or Marlins announcer, yes. Doing color for a minor league baseball team that averages 1800 fans a game? Not so much.

When I was his age, I was just looking to get laid. Having money helped, so I worked a lot. Working the drive-thru window isnt a career. Julio is a moron, as is the idiot who used him as a prop at Obambifest.

I almost feel sorry for you at this point. You can’t get a thing right to save your life. I already live in MA and I’m a woman so your attempt at a homophobic joke failed miserably.

JtP spent time on welfare, too.

What does that have to do with anything. I never heard Joe beg for anything, besides now look what he’s done with his life, obviously he has moved onward and upward, improved his position in life without whining about it and or begging the messiah for give me’s.
if Joe was on “welfare”, which I have not heard that one, he is not on it now…perfect example of what welfare was intended to do…give a hand up not out.
I have no problem helping people temporarily when they are down and out or or in a health situation where they need longtime help, it’s the people that live on welfare generation after generation and are more than capable of working, they do not deserve assistance.

Dang and all those years I worked at MickeyD’s I only got two(2) ten(10) cent raises! Seriously…. 24 months and only two 10 cent raises. And I was ecstatic until I went to work for an international shipping company and doubled my salary. crap! I didnt even get health care at either place. But then again I was invincible back then and didnt need medical care.
