The four section pdf files at the House Rules Committee site are still all in mark up form.

Stuff crossed out and notes in the margin and some pages even watermarked as confidential.

Didn’t see any incentives for people that have been paying mortgage for over17 years and property taxes and income taxes and mandatory home owners insurance for 17 years. would be nice to get a reduces interest rate without huge refinance costs.

And a comment on the school stuff- all this is going to do is spend money on schools and the local property tax payer will be expected to foot the bill ( we are told OH the fed’l gov’t mandates this stuff and then they don’t give us enough money- so please we want to steal more of your money please “rich” land owner???)

Some time ago I posted a joke about an old guy going into a bar frequented by young folks and asking a girl if she’d have relations with him for 1,000,000 dollars. She says yes. Then he asks how about for 20 bucks. And she slaps him in the face and exclaims, “What kind of girl do you think I am!?” And he says, “We’ve already established that. Now we are negotiating on price.”

I posted that joke to illustrate where we were on the stimulus bill is precisely the same place. We’d already established the “what” our leaders were, we were just negotiating on price.

Here we go: Specter’s price? A measly 6.5 billion.
