Not black people, “poor people”. Black people are disproportionately poor. That’s the fact of the matter.

At least in the case of the conservative Republicans, they have a decent chance of getting the carrot. Democrats have to constantly yank the carrot away (blaming the Republicans for it) because if they get the carrot, they don’t need Democrats anymore.

I don’t need to get over anything. I’m white, heterosexual and my parents are wealthy Rhode Island aristocrats. I’ve never faced hardships the likes of which many black people do. However, unlike most Republicans, I try to understand and I can feel empathy. You should try out empathy sometime.

Isn’t that how Obama’s favorite domestic terrorist, Bill Ayers, got started: the white guilt of the elitist, ultrarich liberal?

However, my skin is thick so the likes of these trolls can’t hurt. They would merely lend themselves to exposure of the sad, pathetic, jealous things that don’t even deserve pity that they are.

Using poverty, abuse, and all the rest as they do as excuses never flies with me. Especially in the commitment of crimes. They are cop outs for failure…not reasons.

Well, there you have it Omu. Go volunteer in a shelter/soup kitchen, give of your time/money to worthy charitable causes and help those in need out. Get your like-minded friends involved in doing the same. Start a trend. Go for it! Help a fellow human in need out! It’s how movements start that help others.

But don’t expect to make it law that the government mandates it. Then it is not considered charity anymore.

I’m curious what it is, exactly, you’ve accomplished in your life that makes you feel comfortable looking down your nose at Governor Palin.
