[...] A Random Observation: “Let me get this straight. The Pork Package was too important to actually read, debate, or let the public see before Congress approved it. But not so important that it couldn’t wait a few days for President Obama to sign it at a big campaign rally event in a swing state.” Maybe–what are the restaurants like there?
Jeddite, I live halfway between the Tri-Cities and Yakima and lots of us east siders believe that those who live in Seattle that the border between Washington and Idaho is just east of Issaquah. Hopefully you know that Yakima is not in Idaho and its only a 2.5 hour drive. You sounded kind of condescending about Eastern Washington in your comment.

maables (#102) Rookie!!! 34 years and I actually cooked for my bride this year. You never know when the next chance will come to be nice...or to put arsenic in her food....(oops, I didn't say that! LOL)

I did get her a 52" LCD TV and a blue ray disc player. I wanted to get her a gift card for 100 gallons of 100LL avgas, but since she is not a pilot...Maybe next year I will get her a new DGPS with a good database of airfields.....

I'm also in Texas..most of the car hops do expect a tip. Thankfully, most Sonics now have a credit card machine right on the menu so no tip necessary! :) We have a Sonic on almost every corner..I had no idea there were places around the country without them.

I think my husband and I actually celebrated Valentine's day once..our first year of marriage. Now 11 years later we went out and ate lunch at a mexican food restaurant for under $20. :)

I do very much miss Sonic. I dont think there is a Sonic in all of Seattle.
Nope. Closest I know of is all the way down in Vancouver.

Having lived in several western states, and sampled at Whataburger, Sonic and In-N-Out, I have to say they seem to tie for Numero Uno. What? I was just sampling!

Whataburger has huge, sloppy, drippy burgers that are pretty tasty and priced right! Sonic has Tots and roller skates! ‘Nuf said. In-N-Out’s 2X2 (or “Double-Double” when ordering) and fresh sliced fries are just the ticket for whenever I get to feeling just a bit too healthy. Perfect amount of salt on the fries and those beef patties!

What the h^&l is arugala anyway?

It's a shame. It makes no sense to me why they haven't moved into this market; they'd make a killing.

Anyone want to open a franchise on the Eastside? Somewhere on Bel-Red Road maybe?

I question the legitimacy of an upscale restaurant serving southern cuisine. Real southern cooking is best cooked at home, followed by a mom and pop restaurant.

Therein lies the problem. Uppity people like Oprah and les Obamas call it "cuisine" when all it is is a bastardized version of good ol' Southern home cookin'!!! I bet it's not even good!

This would be a good place for Obama to take the missus. One of their specialties is Turkey Fries. I’m sure she’d enjoy them.

Hammett House Restaurant in Claremore, OK.

Elm Creek Smith, as long as they're in Claramore, they need to visit the JM Davis Gun Museum, the worlds largest gun museum.
And cruise Route 66.

Hey thanks everybody. No, really. Now I am jonesing for Sonic and can't get any for another day and a half. All because Sonic doesn't have parking for big trucks. It's so discriminatory. lol

As for the cherry limeaides, I used to live on those years ago when I was still a heat and air man. Nothing like a Route 44 cherry limeade after coming down out of a 140 degree attic.

5 in the morning and all I want is an extra long chili cheese coney!

Doesn’t anyone make Tater-Tots here in the land of Aloha?

Tater-tots are nice... but I can't even find some southern style BBQ. All I can find is Korean BBQ.

Tasty, but I'm sorry. Nothing like a good Texas BBQ.

Although... Colter's BBQ does offer mail order. Hm...
