What really says it all and bears repeating is that the global warming alarmist's best friend is actually UBANIZATION. With over 2/3 of the US climate monitoring stations surveyed, (rigorously - bullet proof, with photos and diagrams for every station), OVER FIFTY-EIGHT PERCENT OF THEM HAVE AN ARTIFICIAL HEAT SOURCE WITHIN 10 METERS!!!

That's estimated to introduce an error of AT LEAST TWO DEGREES (C).

... remind me again ... how many degrees of global warming did the IPCC say occurred over the last century?

For example of how these hacks LIE with data and use BAD data, just go to http://surfacestations.org/ to learn the TRUTH about temperature monitoring stations and how the Urban Heat Island Effect TOTALLY corrupts the US temperature record. Go to the bottom of the page and see an example of your precious GISS. That's where a LOT of this 'global warming' is ACTUALLY coming from! It ain't global, it ain't even regional - it's total LOCAL! How else can anyone explain the difference in RAW data between a station in an unchanged environment in Orland CA and one in Marysville CA .... ONLY 70 MILES AWAY???

HMMM?

You can spew your lame HACK results but the BOTTOM LINE is that virtually ALL of the reports that are being generated to claim that global warming is still occuring is by people PAID BY THE GOVERNMENT to say so, (like to the tune of 5 billion dollars of OUR tax money per year going to promote a LIE). The NON government scientists are the ones who are telling the TRUTH - most do not stand to lose their jobs based on the outcome of the research, (some do but are telling the truth anyway because they are honest people.)

The liberal politicalization of science in government is now obvious and DOWNRIGHT SICKENING.

Government HACKS! The MSU data is calibrated ONCE against a SINGLE standard - satellite data is the one source of data that the HACKS have a VERY difficult time justifying any adjustments. In other words ... their claims are NOT based on RAW temperature data! The HACKS like James Hansen are TWEEKING THE SURFACE DATA any way they want to in order to make it appear that warming is still occuring!

They kept hanging on to the 'hockey stick' chart until it was PROVEN by Steve McIntyre to be false. Now they hang on this 'Antarticia is warming' but it's already been discovered that their result is NOT based on unadulterated time contiguous temperature data - they STITCHED together data from various temperature stations and claim that they properly adjusted the result - they did not. NEITHER station shows warming but when you put them together in time they show warming!

You got it all wrong Michelle,Obama is actually helping conserve energy. Haven't you heard? He had Air force one "tuned-up" and he checked the air in the tires of the landing gear. Silly girl, carbon footprints are for deniers.

Data show 2008 ranked 14th coldest of the 30 years measured by NASA satellite instruments since they were first launched in 1979. It was the coldest year since 2000.

NOAA: 2008 Global Temperature Ties as Eighth Warmest on Record

January 14, 2009

The year 2008 tied with 2001 as the eighth warmest year on record for the Earth, based on the combined average of worldwide land and ocean surface temperatures through December, according to a preliminary analysis by NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, N.C. For December alone, the month also ranked as the eighth warmest globally, for the combined land and ocean surface temperature. The assessment is based on records dating back to 1880.

The analyses in NCDC’s global reports are based on preliminary data, which are subject to revision. Additional quality control is applied to the data when late reports are received several weeks after the end of the month and as increased scientific methods improve NCDC’s processing algorithms.

NCDC’s ranking of 2008 as the eighth warmest year compares to a ranking of ninth warmest based on an analysis by NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies. The NOAA and NASA analyses differ slightly in methodology, but both use data from NOAA's National Climatic Data Center – the federal government's official source for climate data.

If you haven't seen it yet, I found one site in particular to be very informative and updated regularly with the latest on the fight against global warming alarmism including both the science and the spin.

An example entry for Feb 16 -

Data show 2008 ranked 14th coldest of the 30 years measured by NASA satellite instruments since they were first launched in 1979. It was the coldest year since 2000.

Schmitt contends that scientists "are being intimidated" if they disagree with the idea that burning fossil fuels has increased carbon dioxide levels, temperatures and sea levels. "They’ve seen too many of their colleagues lose grant funding when they haven’t gone along with the so-called political consensus that we’re in a human-caused global warming," Schmitt said.
