Going ape over the New York Post
Al Sharpton and his race racketeers went ape over New York Post staffer Sean Delonas’s anti-stimulus editorial cartoon involving that famous crazed chimp. They picketed the News Corp. building, organized boycotts, targeted advertisers, floated a challenge to Rupert Murdoch’s FCC license — and now the New York Post has apologized.
Oops. Can I say “went ape” anymore? How about “going bananas?” Shall I refrain from asking the race demagogues to quit “monkeying around?” Do I erase “It’s a jungle out there” and “It’s a zoo” from my lexicon? How about “beastly?”
Just a few yelps from Sharpton and the professional protesters who see RAAAAACISM in every inkblot prompted the spunky tab (for whom I write and proudly so) to apologize to “those who were offended by the image.” The Post then goes on to observe in its statement on Sharpton’s cartoon jihad:
…there are some in the media and in public life who have had differences with The Post in the past – and they see the incident as an opportunity for payback.
To them, no apology is due.
The only people “offended by the image” of the crazed cartoon chimp — who clearly symbolized the crazed lawmakers on the Hill who passed the stimulus in a frenzy — are the opportunists.
No apology is due to anyone except cartoonist Delonas, whose character has been smeared by the manufacturers of grievances demanding his head.
Too many in the MSM continue to treat Sharpton as an entertaining clown, instead of the rabid hound he has always been. (”Hound.” Is that acceptable?)
This is the moral of the story: Submission to racial intimidation yields only more racial intimidation. You don’t get the monkey off your back by feeding it.
Yeah, I said “get the monkey off your back.”
Sue me.

Rattling their cages:
The drawing by longtime Post cartoonist Sean Delonas, published Wednesday, shows a dead chimp and two police officers, one with a smoking gun. The caption reads, “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.”
The Post was picketed and deluged with angry calls, with some of Thursday’s marchers carrying signs that said “Jail Billionaire N.Y. Post Owner Rupert Murdoch.”
“We make them and we break them with our money, and we should shut it down,” said protester Angela Brown, who carried a glossy photo of Obama.

Oh please . . . somebody restrain old Al and give him his meds.
Perhaps we need to develop a new term. How about “Rorschach Racism”? They see racism in every inkblot.
Ditto
Sorry, but “inkblot” is a raaaacist term!
Last night, I got so disgusted watching O’Reilly that I switched to Walker, Texas Ranger. That is the cheesiest show on TV, but better than O’Reilly!
This page is mostly white. A coincidence? An artistic preference? I don’t think so: IT’S RAAAASCISM!
*No comment on Irreverent Al.
*Too bad they don’t have the “Invisible Fence” for chimpanzees; The owner could have “saved face” with the public.
*And, hey lady, if you like back hair that much, just hook up with Robin Williams and you’ll still get a heavy dose of wild and crazy.
Oh my; F-Troop! That’s classic gold right there…
Al Sharpton is like a trainwreck–it is so catastrophic that you can’t look away.
And just like a trainwreck, he leaves casualties that will never heal.
I thought the monkey looked Mexican.
Why can’t the MSM, and FoxNews and Michelle Malkin just ignore Sharpton. Maybe he will just go away.
Oh yeah, ratings and revenue. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship.
Sharpton has his role, and Malkin has hers.
All the world’s a stage…..

No, you’re thinking Italian politics…having a lemonade break…

Nothing come to think of it. Actually, I much prefer them to our Congresscritters! Monkeys are much smarter and when compared to the likes of Biden, Fwank and Pelosi, they’re much easier to look at.
The most upsetting part is that the Post caved in. I was hoping to see (and move to) the bank that DIDN’T buckle under Sharpie’s threat for mass withdrawals from banks advertising in the Post. We need an Honor’s list of companies that DON’T buckle under the Sharpies and Jacksons and Greens. Conservatives need to do business with companies with a sense of honor and guts.

“I thought the monkey looked Mexican.”
That was the correct answer to one of my SAT questions. I of course missed it. I said monkeys aren’t native to Mexico. I totally missed the point of the question.
Dang it. Community College wasn’t so bad though.
D.L. Hughley used the chimp attack press conference to set up a punchline centered around Chris Brown’s attack on Rihanna. Hmph!
Can someone please just beat Sharpton until his ears bleed?
