Properly as in helping him get re-elected?

Surveillance cams help fight crime, Chicago says

BY FRAN SPIELMAN City Hall Reporter

Mayor Daley has argued that security and terrorism won’t be an issue if his Olympic dreams come true because, by 2016, there will be a surveillance camera on every street corner in Chicago.
Call takers and dispatchers now see real-time video if there is a surveillance cameras within 150 feet of a 911 call, thanks to a $6 million upgrade to the city’s “computer-aided dispatch” system.

When live video appears, call takers can pan, tilt and zoom those cameras to get the best possible view of a crime or disaster scene.
Chicago Surveillance cams help fight crime, city says
“As a first responder, I can’t tell you how important it is to have a set of eyes on an emergency scene prior to your arrival. The valuable information they provide from the camera network can ultimately mean the difference between life and death,” said Ray Orozco, executive director of the city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications.

But even before that blanket coverage begins, the “Big Brother’’ network is being put to better use….

Tis a Brave New World, isn’t it? With these mini cams it would not be to hard for them to surveillance your business, house or Church just to make sure you aren’t being hateful. The technology is here, I see little hope of stopping it-power does corrupt.

For a guy who looks down his nose at us and says we have to conserve energy, he flys from D.C. to Williamsburg to have lunch, flys to Colorado to sign a piece of paper, and so on. He is averaging over a trip a week, spewing tons of carbon (1/2 ton per hour) into the atmosphere and racking up charges of millions of dollars per trip if you include the little known fact that hundreds of other military personnel and many more planes are needed to ferry limos, security equipment, press corps, staff, etc for support. Slow down OBAMMER before you wear out the frigging plane.

First heard it on Hannity last night and again on the radio today. Lots of the R’s in Congress are beginning to say, “Put the Republicans in charge in 2010 and we will stop the spending in this bill and cancel all of the unspent money”.

Sounds to me like the beginning of a new contract with america. I think this type of rally cry will resonate with the brain dead middle of the road voters who were suckered by that fraud in the white house.

What happened?? I thought we had successfully gotten you away from the Dark Side?

Conservatism is the cheap hooker I mess around with behind Liberalism’s back. Its fun for an occasional thrill, and I keep stringing it along saying “shhhh…It’s okay…one day I’ll leave Liberalism and take you away from all this…It’s just not the right time…” But, deep down inside we both know I would never leave. So, after washing Conservatism’s cheap perfume off me, I return home to have a home cooked meal with Liberalism, who is none the wiser. Meanwhile, Conservatism is back at the hotel room I rented, because let’s face it, where else does she have to go, crying her eyes out telling her THIS time was the last, but knowing its not.

Well, if Darwin is right, the Republicans should be evolving a proto-spine right about now.
