Going ape over the NYPost, Part II: The mau-mau-ers are insatiable

You cannot appease racial grievance-mongers. This man’s appetite for destruction is insatiable.
You can take them to dinner, put them on TV, give them awards, welcome them to the White House (!), bow and scrape, and kiss their rings.
But it will never, never be enough.
Al Sharpton and the rest of the demagogues are still going ape over the New York Post cartoon by Sean Delonas (who mocked the stimulus legislation frenzy using the image of a crazy chimp). They won’t let it rest:
Outrage and protests continue to mount over The NY Post’s controversial cartoon interpreted by many as comparing President Obama to a chimpanzee that was shot and killed by police in Stamford, Connecticut last week.
Reverend Al Sharpton on Sunday called for a special City Council hearing, urging the city to refrain from advertising in The Post.
The civil rights leader, along with other local lawmakers, is also asking for the FCC to review the waiver extended to News Corp and Rupert Murdoch, which allows them to own more than one television station and newspaper in the same city.
“I think that they have sadly tried to reduce this to some personal fight than to really understand the level of offense,” Sharpton at a press conference on Sunday. “It seems that we cannot have a true level of democracy in terms of how the newspapers and airwaves are used in this city.”
The New York Post issued an editorial on its website last Thursday saying the cartoon was meant to mock the federal economic stimulus bill, and apologized to those who were offended by it.
The chairman of the NAACP, Julian Bond, spoke out about the cartoon on Saturday, and called for the firing of both the cartoonist and the editor-in-chief of the New York Post.
“This is tastelessness taken to the extreme and its something you expect from this publication,” Bond said. “But for the publication to suggest that the only people who object to it are constant critics of the New York Post is beyond ridiculous.”
Support the Post. Let them know.
Silence is submission. If we don’t stand up to the race hustlers, who will?

Comparing a chimp to BO is both innacurate and a mean thing to do to the chimp. Where is PETA’s outrage?
Sharpton is out for revenge, and he won’t be satisfied until the Post goes out of business. This isn’t about race at all, Sharpton wants his pound of flesh.
Best thing that could happen for “race relations” is for shysters like Sharpton, Jackson, the NAACP, etc to fall off the face of the earth. Things will never get better as long as swine like these are around. After all, if they do get better, the Sharptons of the world are out of a job.
It’s only tasteless if you are trying to pretend it was about Obama.
It wasn’t. It was about the morons in congress running around like irrational lunatics.
I think the post should reprint it on their cover saying just that.
And they were wrong to apologize.
Holder was right, in a sense. Anyone who caves in to the Sharptons/Jacksons(PUSH)/ACORNs is a coward.
I have to give credit where credit is due. Before Sharpton, I never had equated a monkey with a black person.
I still don’t – with a single exception. Al Sharpton clearly resembles a monkey.
(Though I’m sure that is a great offense to most of the primates)
Sharpton: blah blah blah racism blah.
Sharpton: blah blah white people are bad blah.
Sharpton: blah blah i’m trying to seem relevant blah.
Sharpton: Give me what I want blah.
Shove it, Al!
Sharpton has become white noise or maybe it’s black noise. It’s there but it’s blocked out.
Most honest comment he’s ever uttered, if (of course); He is referring to his minions (stooges)
How about a single, general statement of support that posters/viewers/readers could then sign?
For those of us (taxpayers with jobs) who would not have to take the time to compose a letter, it would certainly save us some time.
Sorry, it’s too late to support the Post.
After making the colossal blunder of apologizing, there’s no basis to defend the paper.
‘Many’ what? Chimpanzees? Nahhh…
I know of no one that compares that cartoon to Obama, except the Omarosa-mentality people we have shouting the loudest.
Al Sharpton does look like an ape in a way…
Some years ago when I lived in Chicago, I watched Jesse Jackson pull this crap almost daily, with the highest-profile scam occurring when he threatened a national boycott of Budweiser unless they gave his son the most lucrative Bud distributorship in Chicago, on the North Side. Somehow, once his kid got the distributorship, the protest went away. Surprise.
Shakedowns, extortion and more…The Chicago way.
He needs to get back to using Tawana Brawley some more. He just loves those racial charges.
You could write them an e-mail in about the same time it took you to duck the responsibility. We got where we are by waiting for somebody else to take action.
a Community Organizers typical day of work.
Ken Timmerman documented Jackson’s many scams in Shakedown, if anyone is interested.
Now now love2rumba comparing the Race-hustler, Head-hunter, Circus master Al Sharpton to a feral ape is cruel and non PC. Accurate, appropriate and fitting to be sure, but cruel and non PC.
I hope you feel suitably corrected. Don’t feed the animals-they might come back and eat you. Have a B-A-N-A-N-A.

Where was Sharpton for the eight years that BDS cartoonists were comparing our then-POTUS to a chimp? (e.g. http:/bushorchimp.com)
Get a life Al(not so)Sharpton.
Dancing with the Justice Brothers. Hit song: Barack the Magic Negro.
I LOVE the internet
But our local Budweiser distributorship is owned by Cindy McCain: I don’t know if she can dance.

Since President Obama didn’t write the stimulus bills, how is that cartoon equating obama and the chimp?
If anything, it’s a slap at Pelosi and the other dems who actually wrote the bills.
What’s Tawana Brawley up to these days?
Regarding the amount of time, you are correct.
Since the election, with the socialiasts/statists/fascists in power, I try to be very careful about where I divulge my name together with my email address and/or mailing address.
I’ve donated to a number of campaigns outside of my state of residence to help defeat socialists; and I trust those sites more than I do the NYPost.
Lobbing a bomb at fellow conservatives by saying that they duck responsibility helps no one – no one – but the socialists.
Oh, and I plan to purchase at least one firearm soon.
That’s how seriously I take the socialists/statists/fascists, and the chaotic jungle they seem to be activley striving to turn our society into.
Michelle, this will never end.
Ever.
As long as people can obtain assets and positions of power merely by bitching loud enough, and threatening ‘civil disobedience’, this will never end.
As long as there are people who would rather acquiesce than stand on principle, this will never end.
People will go on and on regarding racial strife and disharmony, yet fail to grasp – or accept – the serious strife and disharmony among their own race.
That disharmony is perfectly acceptable, even if it debases and stereotypes that race, and drags the morale down to a new low.
All perfectly acceptable.
When Obama was campaigning, the head of the NAACP stated that, should Obama win the Presidency, it will still not be enough.
There will ALWAYS be a struggle.
The prize will ALWAYS be just beyond reach.
The road will ALWAYS be long and winding.
It HAS to be.
Otherwise……the handouts would end……and they’d have to get in line like the rest of civilized society.
I’ll be damned if I’m going to allow Sharpton and his race hustlers to tell me what I should see when I look at a cartoon. Perhaps Al should examine why he saw President Obama in the image of a deranged Chimp.
Big Al Here! No, no keep that camera pointed right here. Have to milk this thing for all its worth, even if its worthless!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the only people who will boycot the Post over this are, um, people who didn’t read the Post.
And what does the city advertise in the Post?
Move on Al. Nothing to see here.
Paging Eric Holder……
The cowards are where?
Neither Al Sharpton nor Jesse Jackson uttered a peep regarding these poor children.
Why? Because there was no profit for them.
With troublemakers like Al and Jesse, it boils down to: What’s the right thing to do vs. what’s the ‘black’ thing to do?
(Warning! These stories are heartbreaking.)

Hear-hear!!
Exactly!! Why isn’t anyone asking him that question. Al, why do you think the chimp looks like Obama? I would LOVE to see his face! By the way, there are a lot of blacks that look like monkeys. A lot of whites too. I’m just saying….
Here’s part of the reason phony controversies like this have such legs. It’s because of wildly inaccurate reporting that describes a sleazebag like Sharpton as a reverend – where is his church again? – and a civil rights leader, when in fact he has no interest in civil rights except as a ploy to get face time on TV.
As a side issue, is it really any wonder the media are in deep financial trouble? The quality of the product, as shown here, is execrable.
I’ll draw a cartoon showing “Reverend” Al Sharpton as primordial ooze.
That oughta stir things up.
I read this as code for the Fairness Doctrine. See, Al Sharpton speaks in code too!

Sharpton, Jackson, et al are not fit to tie MLK Jr.’s shoes. This nonsense is what the “civil rights movement” has come to.
Agreed, but these tatics have served Sharpton and his ilk well. White guilt has proved golden to these rats. But you know, maybe, just maybe, we are all finally fed up and are ready to do what it takes to get this country back from the wackos!
Maybe Sharptons mouthpiece Bill O’Reilly will feature the good “Rev” in tonight’s impact segment since Al wants to shakedown News Corp? (I just realized Bill will drone on about the Oscars)

I know I am (fed up, that is). Don Imus can be forced off the radio for one (admittedly) insensitive and inappropriate remark, but the (c)rappers who “performed” during President Obama’s inauguration face no such backlash for the racist, hateful nonsense they spewed. (”White lies”? “My President is black”? Give me a frakin’ break.)
Please remind me where Sharpton’s outrage was back when Condi Rice was being portrayed as Aunt Jemima?
I wouldn’t have seen the racial connotation if Big Al and the rest of the race baiters hadn’t brought it up.
When I looked at it I thought of the news story of the chimp that was shot after mauling a woman and then I thought of a room full of 500 monkeys typing on a typewriter wondering how much longer it would take for them to come up with an 1100 page stimulus package since one was shot.
Now I don’t want to sound racist but since the new AG said we were a country of cowards because we wouldn’t ask questions about race, I thought I’d throw one out.
Did the Black population climb from 13% to about 50% recently? Ever since Barack Obama has been elected, I’ve noticed the television ads have contained a disproportinate number of black actors. Maybe its my imagination.
There’s little difference between these guys and the jihadists who went bonkers over the Danish Mohammed cartoons. Sharpton is a demagogue and one who won’t stop until someone dies (see Freddy’s Fashion Mart) or a reputation is wrongly in tatters (see the Tawana Brawley hoax).
It’s not your imagination. Black is in. White is out.
I thought I was crazy. I don’t think it’s necessarily a disproportunate amount, but definately there have been an increase to what I view as pandering to the black community and is completely racist. You don’t see an increase in Asians do you? I hope conservations won’t stand for this type of racisim either.
duh me…self correction “conservatives” not “conservations”
Sharpton will only be happy when every white person in the US is dead after having given all their money to him, personally.Possibly the same for Jesse Jackson.
***
What a terrible photo of the good “Reverend” Al Sharpton–aka RACE HUSTLER. He has made himself rich by his shakedown tactics–ditto for “Reverend” Jesse Jackson Sr.
***
Neither of these clowns is fit to tie the shoes of the real Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King–a real American. They are not fit to carry MLK’s Bible.
***
Please find a different Al Sharpton photo–this one reminds me of a screaming Chimp!

So our national concern about the crazed, face-ripping chimp is really all just a metaphorical outpouring of concern about black men attacking white women? This gets really deep…do we keep chimps in the zoo as a symbolic capitulation to keep the black man enslaved? Did Ronald Reagan symbolically integrate Hollywood filmdom with Bonzo?
I thought the cartoonist used a monkey because monkeys can’t read. You know, since no one read the bill.
That monkey looked more Mexican, if not half white.
Hey Al, whaddaya make ‘o this?

boiled soybeans, mmmmm!
There are two groups of people who need to stand up. First, are those accused of racism. They…WE..need to cease attempting to appease and show some backbone. The Post wasn’t wrong to offer an apology to those who took offense. That’s never wrong. But at the same time, they need make it clear that there was no intent to offend, and that the cartoon itself is clearly not racialy offensive.
Secondly, all the people, from all backgrounds, who have the common sense and sensability to see who idiotic taking offense to things like this is need to rise up and counter-protest.
I am waiting for the first person to stand up and tell these folks to get over themselves and shove their protests where the sun don’t shine.
Don’t be picking on Sharpton! Considering the fact that he owes $1.5 million in unpaid taxes he’s probably very important to His Holiness, he’s most likely the de facto Vice President.
He won’t give up until he gets that check from the Post.Anyone want to lay odds on that?
Just another day in the life on America’s most prominent Racist.
Scott Adams (Dilbert) has an interesting explanation of how this happens:
Chimp Cartoon
He also recognizes that the cartoon wasn’t about Obama at all. If anyone can read a cartoon accurately, it’s him.
AzN! Shame on you! I though you were a Christian! Saying such offensive things! Shame!
You know that God’s Command of Dominion Over the Beasts obligates us to kindness toward them… (BTW: harvest Bambi humanely… [wink])
I expect a letter of regret addressed to Bonzo by Monday next.
Mr. mau-mau-er Sharpton-aka Bonzo: Having the error of my ways pointed out to me let me express by
regrets. Although you do not look like Bambi I do mean to show you the same consideration.
Please Mr. mau-mau-er Sharpton-aka Bonzo accept this apology and please come to dinner Monday next 7:30 PM. We are have Banana Bread and Fried Chicken, or if you prefer Bambi chops.
Can you imagine how many souls would be saved if the good Reverend Sharpton preached the Gospel of Christ instead of harping on social issues. Ive never underestood why they call some of these people “reverends” when their priority is NOT the Gospel of Christ but their little social agenda. Christ Himself spent all of His time making sure that repentance was number one and He never did dwell on the evils of Rome or any other government.
Just how are these usefull idiots any different from the jihad Muslims over the Mohammed cartoons?
With the exception of murder and suicide bombing…not much at all.
All this over a political cartoon.
Is it any coincidence that the NY Post exposed Gov. Patterson’s secret raises (all_sides_raise_hell_over_govs_pay_hikes) to his staff of 5% to 40% for some, while pushing for the State Workers to have a weeks pay withheld and give up their 3% raises.
