On an earlier thread someone asked how Obama is better than Bush. One way is holding things like this in the open, not like Cheney’s energy summit where even the guest list was secret.

That was me, and I never did get an answer.

Open, you mean like the “stimulus” bill that was rammed down our throats (apologies to Barney Frank) before anyone, including those signing it, could read it? After PROMISING to post any bill online for at least a week before signing it, for “transparency?”

And since we are looking back into the WayBack Machine, Mr. Peabody, how open were those Hillarycare meetings? Or the secret, Democrat only meetings to get this bill rammed through? Or a full disclosure on his questionable campaign donations? Or his Columbia grades? Or what he even freakin’ reads (according to Brokaw on Charlie Rose), assuming he does? Or his full associations with Wright, Ayers and Rezko? Or his association with ACORN (and resultant payback)? Or even his birth certificate?!?!?!?

And it has only been four weeks!! I even think he has accumulated more lies than Bill Clinton!

ODS? You wish, unless it means Obama Distrust Syndrome.

All of this political theater is intended to soften us up for the huge tax hikes that will hit the street about two weeks after the economy shows the slightest sign of recovery. That should be enough to bring the Dow under 1000 for the first time since 1982. Power to the people! (Because, you know, business isn’t people…)

I came across this cartoon on youtube from 1948 that I found fascinating and still quite relevant. It's 9.5 minutes but if you have the time it is well worth it. I particularly like near the end the Blue Hand of the Absolute State.

You can’t eat gold and you will need lots of lead to protect it (which I have invested heavily in over the last year). We will diversify our portfolio with more ammunition, food, and other necessities as these bipartisan dolts in the District of Criminals put the finishing touches on the death of this once great nation. Don’t know how much more of this hope and change I can take.
