Tulsa is still going on. Frigid weather; everyone wishes it was yesterday when it was 80. I personally counted about 300, but people were coming and going, so I guess there may have been 400 – 500 with the pass throughs. Of course, you can also subtract out about 50 press and politicians who had to be there. I did notice that the TV stations (with the exception of Fox) who never mentioned the event, did send cameras and observers there. I heard one talking on his phone mentioning 200 people. I wonder what event he was talking about. AM radio was there in force, along with Fox, of course. I have pictures but I don’t know how to send them in this format, and I won’t push my blog.

By the way, this is a huge turnout for Tulsa. It is only exceeded by gun shows and basketball games.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear enough.

LGM and the dems mistate the fairnes doctrine because they have agenda to get rid of talk radio. To accomplish this, they must misstate what the fairness doctrine was, in an attempt to go back to that mythical time when broadcasting was ‘more fair.’ They claim that the fairness doctrine had something to do with equal time and not favoring one political party over the other, but that is NOT SO. For a good overview of this subject try Wikipedia.

LGM completely misstated the fairness doctrine. It was not about preventing favoritism between the two parties or giving them equal time. It was about how stations presented diverse viewpoint to the public.

In the mid-eighties The Spupreme Court saw the problem with enforcing ‘fairness’ and wisely let the doctrine fade away.

We all know today’s bill is a sneaky way to stifle talk radio by limiting and localizing license ownership. Soon the FCC may have the power to arrange your radio spectrum into a brave new broadcast world, one that does not include RUSH.

That should make everyone very concerned.

2. Take part in the Tea Party rally in Second Life.

Anyone else here other than myself have a Second Life account and are not ashamed to admit to it (thereby bringing upon oneself the unfortunate label of uber-geek)?

I seldom go on anymore, it was way too time consuming (even more so than this blog), though I have built myself a jewelry and watch store which I do still pull the occasional RL profit from. Not much, but enough to take my wife out to dinner on occasion.

Pittsburgh Tea Party postponed due to weather/permit issues

What’s all this permit crap? You don’t have to have someone’s permission or pay a fee to exercise your right to free speech. Don’t even play that game, if you do, they’re winning.
