Amen to that! News reports nowadays = opinion pieces. Opinions expressed are not even their own. Since they bought into the Leftist agenda, they echo the Leftist views.

On February 26th, 2009 at 9:01 am, conservativesRus said:
I feel sorry for a “journalism” major. They apparently don’t learn much. Journalism used to be something akin to “getting the facts and reporting them”. Now journalism apparently is the “art of using words to craft an opinion”.
Somewhere along the line, we went from telling the audience the details, and the audience figuring out what to think about it, to the present mode of not even bothering to tell us the details, only telling us what to think.
Just watch any major speech. Almost every program will spend more time playing the talking heads telling us what to think compared to re-playing the actual speech.

Now, when it is very important that the WH occupant's authoritarian grab of power (abetted by Congress) get exposed for what it is, the "journalists" are just regurgitating his talking points!

Are you aware that the satellite sensor run by the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) which measures ice was degraded and underestimated the total arctic sea ice by 193,000 square miles?

Where is the NYTimes story on that?

Of course, missing these stories is not all that unusual considering that while they were harping on arctic ice in '07, they "missed" the fact that Antarctic ice was at its highest point recorded.

To use an OP/ED piece to prove that the NYTimes "news" is better is a joke, right?

No retraction or correction yet from the Post.
None required - the group merely issued a disclaimer; also, although both publications are on borrowed time, the Post will outlast the NYT by a decade or so.
Isn’t global warming more important than bankers’ girlfriends?
No. The latter is fact, the former fiction.

The credentialed professionals at the Fishwrap of Record fall for a blindingly obvious hoax.

The writer of the NY Times piece sees all things as a good liberal should, so naturally the editors would love him and give him a pass. Here's an article he wrote praising Obama's loose-living, free-wheeling style as something that will be good for the country-- while comparing Bush to Hitler because he tried to "live clean."

There is no good journalism any more! Not on TV, not in newspapers, not on radio. There is good jounalism on some blogs like Michelle's, but there are a lot more blogs that are just plain crap. Most so called "journalism" is "opinion" and needs to be reported as such, not as hard news. Michelle gives her opinion, but backs it up with facts. She digs deep and finds the truth. I don't even trust FOX News to get it right. We just have to take things with a grain of salt until verified.
