A note to Michael Steele; Update: Steele agrees that GOP convention looked like “Nazi Germany;” Update: A non-apology apology
Scroll for updates…Steele non-apologizes to Limbaugh…No word on the “Nazi Germany”/GOP convention slur…

I said positive things about RNC chairman Michael Steele this weekend on Washington Journal (link here) and have covered his rise extensively.
Now, a word of friendly advice:
There’s nothing wrong with criticizing Rush Limbaugh. But if you are going to go on Obamedia outlets like CNN and throw around words like “incendiary” and “ugly,” you better back them up. You should also think more broadly about how this distraction feeds the White House/Alinsky agenda — and how better to avoid their traps.
Also: There is nothing — nothing — conservative about echoing the class warfare-tainted rhetoric of the Left. Nothing.
Don’t go there.
Limbaugh is an “entertainer,” Steele scoffed — on a CNN political show hosted by a comedian, I might note.
Yeah, so? Rush makes a living selling his opinions and trying to reach as many as people as possible. You did the same as a fellow Fox News contributor. So do I. Does it make your commitment to the principles you espouse any less sincere?
We’ve had one too many Beltway Republicans bash conservatives because they happen to earn a living espousing their ideas.
Profit is not supposed to be a dirty word.
We need conservative spokespeople who condemn anti-capitalist claptrap, not spokespeople who parrot it.
***
One more thing: When liberals sit there and accuse the GOP convention of looking like “Nazi Germany,” you might not want to sit there, nodding your head, and respond, “I agree.”
Update: With a hat tip to John Hawkins, I re-listened to the exchange. It’s even worse than I noted. After Hughley rants about “Nazi Germany,” Steele says…”You’re right.”

Played right into the Left’s hands. Congratulations. This will do wonders for party fund-raising efforts…on the other side:
In an interview on CNN with D.L. Hughley, Steele assured that he, not Limbaugh, was in charge of the party before saying that he wanted to put the right-wing talker “into context.”
“Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer,” Steele said. “Rush Limbaugh, his whole thing is entertainment. Yes it’s incendiary, yes it’s ugly.”Steele’s comments, first noticed by NBC producer Chris Donovan, are sure to rankle Limbaugh in part because they validate the liberal critique of the conservative force: that he’s merely an “entertainer.”
That’s one of the phrases often used by Democrats who seek to diminish Limbaugh. MSNBC’s liberal talk-show host Keith Olbermann, for example, frequently mocks his broadcast adversary as “comedian Rush Limbaugh.”Steele’s broadside comes as top-level Democrats are working to portray Limbaugh as the face of the GOP and daring anybody in the party to separate themselves from him.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs jumped on an opportunity to discuss Limbaugh Monday, saying at the press briefing that reporters should ask Republicans if they side with the talk show host.
“Do they want to see the President’s economic agenda fail?” asked Gibbs of the Republicans, citing the talker’s comments earlier this year and over the weekend at CPAC about the Obama agenda. “You know, I bet there are a number of guests on television throughout the day and maybe into tomorrow who could let America know whether they agree with what Rush Limbaugh said this weekend.
A liberal coalition has already aired two ads tying congressional Republicans to Limbaugh and White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel said on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday that the conservative is the “the voice and the intellectual force and energy behind the Republican Party.”
***
Update: Steele says he’s sorry for causing offense and being inarticulate about Limbaugh because his job is to “bring people together.”
He was just, you know, misunderstood.
No word on how his agreement with Hughley that the GOP convention looked like “Nazi Germany” was misunderstood, too.

*Like the Springsteen song says “One step up, two steps back”, that seems to be the way the GOP wants to play it; Rush is dead on for 90 minutes at CPAC on conservative principles and a way out of the wilderness for the GOP, then Steele gets blown out as a playa in the same mold as P-BO; Is there a plan B?
I wonder how much street creds did Steele earn today.
All right so lets man-up on all this:
Clinton smoked the weed (warning: not a work safe video.
)
Bush did coke
But wasnt Obama the dealer who was doing his own stash??
Steele is a phony.. A plant.. NOT A REAL CONSERVATIVE.. He just blew his cover too early..
Memo to GOP:
Find the best person for the Job instead of trying to pick minorities just to appear politically correct or inclusive. Michael Steele does not represent the GOP base and should be encouraged to resign. He is a moderate and with this stunt he is just doing the bidding of liberals.
Steele needs to learn not to be so nice to these B. Hussein Obama cronies. He should have took them to task. He is beginning to show me he is not the man he is suppose to be. He is wanting to make all nice and friendly with people who clearly see anyone who are republican, conservative, or in disagreement with them as the enimy. He needs to learn to take no prisoners and stand up for what he believes in. What does he believe in ??
*The first thing Steele needs to learn is that he needs Rush way more than the other way around; If he doesn’t grasp that, then it’s bye bye GOP; And if Steele can’t come out and say he wants P-BO to fail and why, then it should be bye bye Steele.
*Never going to happen, but if Rush were to start up and lead the “Founders Party” and stock it with the right people(many would slide over from the GOP), they would have something to say come 2012.
Steele played perfectly into the Demonratic strategy/talking points that Rush Limbaugh was the main figure of the party. No accident that Hughley brought it up.
Which, actually, is a good thing, except the half of the country that accepts the MSM on face value and believes Limbaugh is some kind of ogre.
Limbaugh was not a recreational user when he became addicted to prescription opiods.
He had back surgery that did not correct his problem, was in severe pain, and became addicted to prescription narcotics.
Limbaugh did not start on drugs for kicks, or for peer pressure, or to escape the pressures of life.
He should have sought treatment before he was caught, but he was never a common street junkie.
I’m trying to figure out what is Steele’s biggest liability:
That he’s a moron?
That he’s a liberal? or
That he’s a coward?
I guess it doesn’t really matter, He is way out of his league, just like another politican who recently got his job because of his skin color.

There is a HUGE difference to what happened to Rush and what the Thug-Thizzle was doing. But it takes the Liberals to be complete and utter hypocrites about it. When you look at how many of their “heroes” are in and out of rehab on a weekly basis, when you look at the fact that two of their biggest icons were some of the biggest potheads in college, and when their own messiah, the Chocolate jesus, was a freaking DEALER, to have any of of them say one damn thing about what Rush went through only shows just what shallow, emppty-headed hypocrites they all are.
You can go on Google Images right now and find any number of morons on the Left carrying signs mocking Bush and his FORMER drinking issues as well as alleged cocaine use, all of them declaring that someone who has done such things has no right being President, yet take Barry the Pimp and all of a sudden all is forgiven and it just shows the strength of his character and other crap.
Unless you have had back surgery and have had to go through what people who suffer from such afflictions have to go through, then you have no business saying anything against them. Obama had the choice as to whether or not to do recreational narcotics or not, he is guilty of not only selling them to others, namely children, but getting unknown numbers of people hooked on them and destroying who knows how many lives as a result. I am sure there are those that would claim it is all Whitey’s and the CIA’s fault he was involved in it, but it is just further evidence that he is a shallow, empty, horrible man who has the charisma that got another person who was shallow and empty into a certain Chancellery. And we all saw how that turned out.
Narcissism to the extreme…thy name is Obama.
Steele trying to be hip-hop cool led him to looking like a fool.
Unbelievable how he was putty to the left’s hands. This is the guy that’ll represent the republicans?! Does he not listen to people and think before he speaks?
I supported Michael Steele, even sent money for his (failed) campaign. But he has become a walking, talking disaster. Maybe I was wrong then, or perhaps he’s changed, or is just out of his depth. Either way, he’s become a “useful idiot” for the left.
Rush is not the enemy, nor the problem. The problem is (R)’s that don’t have the guts to admit that this country is being destroyed before our eyes at lightning speed, who are so afraid of giving offense that they just “go along to get along”. Who don’t understand that to a democrat, “compromise” means “do it my way”.
I’m sorry to say this, but Steele should change his name to “the wedge”, because it’s man’s simplest tool! And then he should find some plausible reason to resign.
Steele needs to resign five minutes ago.
Sorry, not one cent for the RNC until Steele drops to his knees and apologizes for offending every single Republican in this country. Nodding away when the convention was compared to Nazi Germany is beyond the pale.
If he can’t step up to the plate and defend himself and his party when interviewed by a black man, he’s just another pandering fool.
Like Coli Powell – Steele is black before he’s “Republican.” He is not even close to being a true conservative. Certaily he is better than Duncan, but not by much. This business of getting blacks into the Republican party to show “diversity” is a steaming pile.
I happened to see just a bit of that show – all I could stand – and the input of the other “guests” like tha wrapper is everything that is wrong with this country – we don’t need people who worship at the feet of the likes of Cynthia McKinney in the party.
And as Rush so rightly stated – Steele does NOT represent the Republican party – he represents the election committee – his one and ONLY job is to find candidates for office under the GOP banner.
His personal politics are more Democrat than Republican (other than the RINO brigade) – he’s anti-2nd amendment and personal freedom. He needs to go, or the GOP can forget about the base coming back to donate. I for one will donate what I can to individual candidates – not to the RNC. Not one dime again. EVER.
Angry, caustic, unforgiving. It’s too much. Good night, Y’all.
Sorry about the spelling errors – typing on the damned laptop tonight! Ugh:(
Wow! That’s sure disappointing. I really liked Steele after seeing him during his last campaign.
I guess he’s just another RINO to write off.
I’m not fond of people like Rush and Ann Coulter, they’re too harsh sometimes, but the reason Rush has become the voice of conservatives is because no one else has stepped up to the plate. Where are the strong Congressional leaders? The future presidential candidates? Why are none of them leading the charge against Obama’s socialism? Sure, they give quotes here and there, but are not the loud, consistent voice that Rush is.
I thought Steele held promise, but now thinking that Rush (and folks, I am not a big fan of his) may stand as the same kind of glue that’s needed to pull people out of their coma. Steele made a huge error by taking on someone that influences as many people as Rush does. I found him compelling and thoughtful in his speech at CPAC. I’m thinking that Rush and Beck may be a spearhead for any kind of revival of the party. Our own Ms. Malkin is wearing herself out running all over the country doing what needs to be done, saying what needs to be said, and we need to congratulate any news outlet that features her. Send those e-mails.
The most likely answer to you question….
(D) – All of the above
An email I just sent to Michael Steele, just about every RNC officer whose email I could find and Rush Limbaugh:
I’m glad we can all agree that Rush smacked down Steele for being a moron. Unfortunately, this is the reason they’ll push through the Fairness Doctrine-lite-ultra-menthol. If Rush was a newspaperman, the outrage would be directed at newspapers. If he was a Hollywood producer, the outrage would be directed at Tinseltown. If he was best-selling author only, the outrage would be directed at Barnes & Noble. If he was a video game editor, there would be a sudden cry for video game censorship.
The point is, it’s cute to debate over the media that the point of view is purveyed, but the end truth is that the point of view must apparently be silenced.
Undresiege, thank you for acknowledging the misunderstanding. It’s crap like that upon which ideological wars are based. On top of, obviously, the ideological differences.
Just realized that next weekend is the start of Daylight Savings Time again!
Maybe this can give us an hour head start on the government.
Why the hell is Steele going on this unfunny, clueless comedian-turned-political-analyst wannabe’s show to discuss politics anyway? Seriously, I’d be willing to bet F_u_ghley can’t even name the three branches of government, and couldn’t spell “constitution” if his life depended on it.
A Republican Howard Dean would be an improvement ovver the leadership I am seeing right now in the Republican Party.
Who does he think he is-William Ayres? Nasty, vulgar people who are running down our country, our way of life and our God are not the sort of people with which I wish to associate, sorry Mr. Steel. Why don’t you call Howard Dean and ask him?

In the end, Michael Steele is a whore…nothing but a dirty whore. I am thoroughly disappointed in him. After all of the crap he put up with from the liberals, after presenting him as minstral show clown, he pulls THIS.
How does someone with principles do this? He can just cross over and join them. I don’t give a rat’s behind anymore about this man. They can have him. He is dead to me.
Nazi Germany? The only person who resembles Nazi Germany is the Marxist/Socialist in the White House who wants to silence dissent, change our great country into a bankrupt Marxist Regime complete with his National Security Force.
There’s a big difference between wanting hussein to fail and wanting our country to fail. We want him to fail to prevent our country from failing because that’s all hussein’s policies will accomplish.
Ditto PK, well stated.
Go away Steele. We’re better off without you.
Just logged on this AM, need to comment on this… WHAT A GROSS DISAPPOINTMENT MR. STEELE IS!!! Expected much better…
The GOP thinks they need their own clean and articulate black guy too. The problem is, he’s not exactly a conservative, so the GOP is still playing games with the base. What we need is someone like Buford Pusser on steroids.
Go to gop.com and look how MS is being clobbered over there. I was going to send my nastygram but there are so many, it would just be piling on.
Go ahead…pile on!
Bad act to follow. Steele’s previous attraction aside, I always felt he was a Johnny-come-lately black person-counter to Obama’s election (a cynical RNC move I feel). Repubs/Conservatives royally lost grabbing that ultimate mantle of black achievement in this country (we had a chance with Powell way back before he went flaky but still Republicans could’ve claimed the ultimate post-Lincoln brass ring that’d attracted black voters from the Dems and FDR). Now, (rightfully) pushing Steele out will only reinforce the “whites only club” view far too many blacks and browns have of Republicans. I’m even more pessimistic we’ll even see a Repub/conservative POTUS this century.

Yes I thought that all these conservatives agreeing with the left’s “taliking points” on Rush or anything else that is Obama mania is just “gotcha” questions. This is their plan to discredit conservatives. I think it is LONG past time to band together publicly including members in Congress. NOTHING any conservative says is going to put them in a popular light (so to speak) by the left. TIME NOT TO BE AFRAID TO SPEAK AGAINST THE ONE.
Steele did exactly what Obama told him to do – “Don’t listen to Limbaugh”.
I hope Mr Steele doesn’t misunderstand me when I say, kiss my pearly white a$$.
No offense intented and if anyone felt offended i am truely soory and abashed but that horriable dispaly of ignorance and bigotry*

Can we impeach Steele?
Steele was wrong. We all make mistakes. He needs to recover from his, and fast. I do not apologize for what I believe in. Freedom lovers have enslaved no man. Statists enslave all. This is not a war against men, but it is a war against ideas that have been proven wrong and harmful whenever they have been tried.
Do you think the current economic policies will fix anything? The markets do not. Are we in favor of growing deficits and unemployment?
Principles matter. When the GOP ceased to stand for its principles, it ceased to stand for me.
Send him packing to the DNC. He’s a plant, or at least a prop to show libs that we can pick clean, articulate guys too.
It’s a post-modern world out there.
If Steele isn’t smart enough to figure out he’s being ‘played’, perhaps he agrees with them? Hmmmmm?
I’m tired of all the racial bickering. I’m tired of feeling like if the GOP doesn’t acknowledge and pander to groups with a racial focus that somehow makes us racist.
I’m also tired of race being injected into things just for the heck of it, getting involved in it because they want us to some “I’m white…” comment. You’re better than that sonofdy, and there’s no reason to stoop to their level.
Steele doesn’t need to affirm his “street cred” to the likes of DL Hugely or Chuck D. It doesn’t make his ideas any more or less valid, it just denigrates him and puts him on the same level as the other racial grievance mongers.
Conservative values aren’t white or black. If black people feel that they’re voice isn’t being heard by the party, then they need to participate and have the party reflect their interests based upon the espoused principles of conservatism. The tent is open, they just have to walk in.
Filling a quota doesn’t encourage diversity.
That’s a pretty big If, not seen it work since pre-Johnson.
Oh boy, I thought the leader of the party was SUPPOSED to be articulate. Ugh… Maybe its time for a REAL conservative party :/ The sad part is I’ve met and heard Michael Steele speak in person before, he can be very articulate.
I think what happened here is he was unready for what the liberal media was going to throw at him sounds like someone needs to prep him better before such programs. He seemed to be speaking off the cuff without an understanding of what Rush Said (and I know cause I watched Rush’s speech before seeing what Steele said. CNN was bashing it within minutes of the speech.)
This Nazi Germany BS from DL Hugley is typical of people who feel it’s uncool to display pride in one’s country. It’s very ‘EU’ and people like Hugley see that as chic. Brainless….
When someone says or infers that I am a nazi because I am white and non-liberal then they can, well you know. Stooping to thier level? Maybe, but its how I feel.
I am not and never will be a diplomat.
I still can’t believe cnn hired Hugley to do a NEWS show.
Well, who would have guessed the GOP would not really learn the correct lesson after losing the House/Senate/Presidency? Oh yea, all of those who refused to vote LOTE in the last election. The only lesson the GOP seemed to have learned is they are not liberal enough yet. Screw them. As others pointed out, the only reason Steele was elected leader of the GOP was PC reasons. Not a beleif he would actually bring the GOP back to conservative roots. When will the continued supporters of the GOP learn. The GOP is lost as a conservative party. Time to move on.
It’s a good thing Hugley didn’t call Ann Coulter a white ho!
I still can’t believe the RNC continues to cram down our throats certain Republican ‘leaders’ with less than conservative pasts, all with political millstones around their necks:
McCain – Gang of 14
Mitt – Certain special interest groups in Massachusettes
And now Steele…the list goes on. They have not lost enough to ‘get it’ yet.
He probably has! Who is going to report it? Come to think of it, Ann could handle something like that. She’s no victim.
Did Mr. Steele support the Republican ticket?…as in vote republican…or was he like many other “prominent” republican advisors one who voted democratic? I just cannot believe that rolling over for socialism. Total acceptance that the msn is fare and balanced, while talk radio must be brought under control, would be the focus of a Republican party that was getting advice from honest to God Republicans?
Interesting that some of you say you are “not too fond” of Rush Limbaugh. Then in the next sentence you say that he gives a voice to the conservatives and speaks truth. Say what?? He is not afraid to say what is in his heart, he is passionate, articulate and right on in his message. And you seem to agree with that. But yet, you are “not too fond” of him. I am having a hard time understanding that. You either love him or you hate him. I don’t think there is any middle, mushy ground when it comes to Rush Limbaugh. IMHO!
I have a feeling that the ‘not too fond’ folks are capitulating to those on this thread who do not especially like Rush’s delivery. Once ‘you get’ his humor, you really can appreciate his brilliance.
I like Rush Limbaugh, but I get irritated when he says something I may disagree with and I get lumped in with it (my liberal mother from Boulder does this a lot).
Rush’s opinions are his own and it pisses me off that liberals think that the rest of us have to either accept or denounce what he says. Rush is a big boy and can defend himself
I wish Steele would have said “Rush Limbaugh is accountable for what Rush Limbaugh says. You have his opinion on the subject and like every citizen he’s entitled to it. This is what I think, and as chairman of the RNC this is what our plan is….”

The REPUBLICANS championed Civil Rights legislation in the late 50s and early 60s. It was the Southern DEMOCRATS who were opposed. When LBJ supported the Civil Rights legislation, he did it with the knowledge that the Democrats would suffer for it in elections for years.
Yep, that was covered.
You must get over this, Grasshopper.
It’s a battlefield, and the left drew first blood.
What a pathetic response by Michael Steele. It’s not an apology.
What he essentially said was… Yes.. Rush is still an ugly human being and his remarks about freedom and liberty are incendiary.
Well, Steele’s remarks about what’s important to conservatives is incendiary. This idiot needs to go.
Mary Matalin on Imus this morning discussing Rush and Michael Steele and Mary thinks Rush is right, and that Steele is forgetting Loyalty. When The Democrats were savaging Steele, Rush had him on his show.

You may be right. I guess it is like Ann Coulter. She also speaks truth, but her way of delivering it can be “off-putting”. I do wish, though, that people would actually spend a couple hours and really listening to Rush. His “arrogance” and “loftiness” is part of his “act”, just as Ann Coulter’s dry wit is part of hers! We all know that! Both of these people are grossly misunderstood. Rush’s talent is “on loan from Gawda” And he can fight liberals with half his brain tied behind his back. Yes, he has an ego. He has to have that! How else would he have been able to do that job all these years? One more point, his prescription drug addiction. I suffered for years with terrible headaches. I took a prescription drug for years. When the doctor told me he wasn’t going to renew it any more because I was too dependant on it, I actually had a minor “withdrawal”. I guess you could say I was addicted. I wonder how many of those hypocrites who bring that up about Rush have gone through the same thing! It is more common than people realise.

If they ever do, we’re all dead….
I remember posting misgivings abt MS. His constant “… need to reach out to minority/black voters… ” whine showed to me he wasn’t colorblind yet, which meant he *isn’t* a conservative but is a liberal in camo. Just as the rest of the RINOs are. Unfortunately I strongly suspect his views are in harmony w/the rest of the top levels of the GOP.
Look, if we put forth Principles in harmony with the Constitution, and a person agrees w/us, they’re welcome to join us. I don’t care what a person looks like.
AND NIETHER SHOULD ANYONE ELSE! Either we have One Law, One Set of Guiding Principles, One Line to Toe *OR* we’ve never left Slavery — we’ve just taken a break from it and tried different control methods!

Steele, you faithless, atrocious walking sandwich board of tainted odiously detestable scabrously Liberal Racially Motivated talking points! You and the rest of The GOP Leadership who are calmly sitting by telling people who believe in The Principles of The Founding Documents and want to see those Principles exercised, that they are NAZIs, simply because they object to your inaction and the Dem’s action in creating a Tyrannical Totalitarian Government shows that you are the same! You’re simply a Smiley Face on Master’s Boot!
(end letter)
And the horse you’all rode in on, too!
From Rush’s response to Steele
Excellent analysis. Steele is a fool to take on Rush. An interview on a CNN show reaches what, 2 million viewers? Rush has an audience of 20 million for three solid hours. Steele is the head of the RINONC. He does not speak for conservatives. I believe Sonofdy said it before, it’s time for a Conservative Party. Long overdue.
Is the GOP in some kind of cowering mode or what?!
Until they allow someone in to lead with conservative onions, they will be perpetually doomed to failure.
But why would that make a person “not too fond of Rush”? It sounds like you are not too fond of being lumped in with all his opinions. Wouldn’t that apply to ANY commentator you enjoy listening to? No one agrees with any one person all the time!
Cinie is a PUMA Blogger, she is like a laser on what the Obama Administration is doing…in this case focusing on Rush Limbaugh.
Cinie, weighs in on the Democrats strategy of focusing on Rush.
http://cinie.wordpress.com/2009/03/02/who-died-and-made-rush-god/
This really puzzles me…even the person who wrote that piece made sure to say he wasn’t a fan of Rush Limbaugh, nor did he listen to him. I just wonder why people are afraid to admit they LIKE the man? There are 20 million out there who listen to him on a regular basis. Is there some PC reason that people won’t admit they like him?

I do, however, make the distinction between party leaders (no difference between R and D), and the ordinary members (have other lives to live). I won’t vote for any Democrat who voted against impeaching Clinton because of intellectual dishonesty on their part. (I was against the whole impeachment because I thought it would end up where it did and lessen the effect of the proceeding; I still think that Clinton was guilty.)
michael steele should spend his energy going to see the 3 rino senators who voted for this debacle, and informing them of the peril they face trying to run a primary financed by real republicans. trying to be on the network talking head shows for a conservative is asking for nothing but trouble. stick to fox, let the libs lie on the other networks, and just ignore those shows. since the death of the meet the press host, no conservative will be given a fair shake on any of the networks except fox. so screw them, they have theirs, we have ours and that’s the way it is. were i president, i wouldn’t have a single press conference, nor a press secretary. i’d shut down that room and kick those hacks out on their butts. steele, you too need to recognize who your friends are, and who are your enemies. specter, mccain, snow, collins, mcconnel, et al definitely need to come to grips with friends vs enemies. mccain should have gotten the message that the talking heads love to butter him up when he’s the maverick, but as soon as he is the opposition, they seek to destroy him and his family and his reputation they lauded just last week. friends mr steele deserve loyalty, enemies deserve resistance. they are most assuradely resisting your success. if you believe that is rush, you need to reevaluate your thought process.
The GOPS’s blog roll includes McCain Now and McCain Blogette.
Get the picture?
The RNC is NOT about conservatism.
People wonder why children are the way they are these days. The simpl answer is that the adults raising them and that are around and influencing them no longer have the strength of their convictions. They have all been programmed to not offend anyone and to make everyone happy to the point that they no longer take a moral stand on anything, no longer stand up for their beliefs or do whatever it takes to make sure that justice is carried out,
Put a camera in their face and the issue is magnified to the umpteenth power.
The so-called Republican leasership has been operating in this fashion since Gingrich resigned. Yhey no longer have a spine, other than one made from jelly or painted yellow, then wonder why people are leaving the party in droves and failing to vote “R”.
Have they lesrned NOTHING from the last 2 election cycles? Is there no one who will make a stand?
Why does Rush have so many listeners? Why are the Liberals making such a huge deal out of what Rush is saying?
It is because even THEY know that were the Republican Party to ever start listening to and following Rush’s examples and actually act like Republicans and honor and follow the Conservative Doctrine that the Dems would not have a chance in hell of getting elected.
It was not Conservative views that has lost the last two elections. It will not be Conservatives that will lose the next one. It is the so-called Republicans who continually think that if they just act more like the Dems and put a “moderate” somewhere in their description who will lose and who will sink this Party.
Was Abe Lincoln a Moderate? Was Eisenhower? Was Teddy Roosevelt? Was Nixon? Was Reagan?
Then why the hell do they think that this country wants what they weren’t. If Steele wants to unite this party and to build it back and make it strong again, then he better start listening to his constituents and the people who have been leaving in droves and stop listening to the media and others with no vested interest in making a stong Republican party again. Doing the same thing repeatedly, expecting a different and better outcome…
(emph. mine)
You are absolutly right.
Try an experiment:
(1) On a blank sheet of paper, write tenets of the Dem-Socialist. Put the paper away and forget about it.
(2)Wait a couple of days.
(3) Now, without looking at your previous list, on a new sheet generate a list of the RNC’s tenets as currently practiced.
(4) Compare the two.
If you’re honest, you’ll see that they are simply variations on a theme: “You are part of the ‘great unwashed’, it soils us to deal with you! You are too stupid to understand how to breath without our grace! Your children’s life’s-work belongs to us, and you too work for us. So stop being ‘Loud Folks’ or we will get you!”
A parting thought:
Question: What moron listens to his enemies advice on winning?
Answer: The RNC.
Heres a solution…. cut the cord. Take down your old Bob Marley posters out of your old bedroom because youre grown now and are not going to move back in with her. Then tell your mom that you only come to visit when you are scouting for a retirement home to put her in one day.
Thanks for a great laugh! I needed that! And laughter, coupled with pearls of wisdom is the best!
Interesting… I found the ‘Rules of the Republican Party’ on http://www.gop.com
I shall have to puruse them… and perhaps compare and contrast them against the Dem party.
And on reading MS’s blog comments
Thks! But I grow weary now and must nap for a while. The kids flew in to snowboard this weekend and I had 4 trips to the airport and 3 trips to the ski resorts in 5 days. That and I feel the weight of Boulder on my shoulders at the moment. I cant hold all the libs into Boulder Valley by myself forever… Its like herding cats.
They’ve already legalized up to an ounce of pot there, but one day…one day, it will run out and then they will discover they can escape the city on their own and make a drug run to Denver….
Hey RS…mind if I get a little skiing in too? Continual storms here means I won’t be able to make it to Northstar for at least another week.
