In case you missed it

Busy weekend! You can watch my Saturday appearance on Washington Journal here.

The “alternative to The View” panel I appeared on with Kellyanne Conway, Jeri Thompson, Maryanne Marsh is here on PJTV.com. My favorite segment was with the brilliant Dr. Helen Smith on “Going John Galt” — a discussion you would never, ever see from the likes of Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Barbara Walters.

Rush Limbaugh’s fiery speech at CPAC is here. Transcript here.

I’ll have much more CPAC/Tea Party coverage and analysis coming up. How was your weekend?

Hmmm, maybe we could accomplish with television what we have with talk radio. It would be fun to see the liberal outcry … at least if we did not have to worry about their (highly unconstitutional un)fairness doctrine. So much for of the people, by the people and for the people right? After all, heaven forbid we should actually make up our own minds and actually change the channel, the station or turn the television off.

I believe they either will switch or not show up for the next vote. Either way works for us.

Same here. In a few more months I will be in a position to stay home. My husband and I both have changed our W-4 forms to pay no taxes through the year. Our home is paid for and we can live on one income. We may have to pay taxes in April next year but I’ll be darn if I’m giving them anything before I have to. Losing my salary will lower out tax liability nicely and as everything we have will be paid for, we will just try to wait out the next 4yrs and pray this country comes to its collective senses.

    Yeah, that makes perfect sense!

Everybody I know would certainly protest being the recipient of billions of dollars that they would never be held truly accountable for. The corporations must be protesting against this new age of corporate welfare.

And people are actually believing this? Education is the key to the salvation of what is left of our country but I wonder if there is enough real education left to go around and actually help all of the people that could even think such a thing … much less believe it.

No need for a transcript – I have it all but memorized!

The C-PAC speech was Rush at his finest – his words were electrifying, clear and well chosen; his message direct and explicit – no wonder Rahm “Tiny Dancer” Emanuel felt compelled to attempt squelching him on Sunday.

It’s puzzling how the Obama administration thinks attacking Rush (and talk radio) elevates their ideas and messages in the minds of most Americans; when, in fact, doing so only makes Rush more popular and reminds us that the ideas he espouses are much closer to our own than any of Obama’s.

They can rest easy because they have a HUGE built-in constituency the Dems can’t ignore that sees Rush (and most prominent Repubs — and common ones — that’s why that “I don’t care about your mortgage!” sign only fuels their ranks and nanny-state passion) as a bigoted fat cat blowhard who doesn’t care a hooting damn about “ordinary (non-white) people” and believe that NOTHING could be worst than satan (literally) Bush. I’m talking about most my family, block, neighborhood, most (“all”) of Queens (bigger than Houston) New York alone. Their faith in Obama is unreal and The One is simply too big and openhearted and well-meaning to fail — and if he does, it’ll be because of all the sneaky sabotage the Repubs instigated against him. Too many of you severely underestimate the free ride he’ll be getting through this term. Hell, black churches here are even inviting Chris Matthews in for a fair sermon/Bush bash. If I were a betting man I’d clean up here with that! And again — I kid you not — the Interior Department will be getting some nudging about clearing a side of Rushmore. La Bamba CAN’T fail because you blame that on Bush/Repubs — period!

What I am most concerned of under the radar is the nanny state agenda being taught in schools.
