Have at it:

(Hat tip: Allah.)

I call it the Mark of the Porkulus Beast.

Kris at Shout First, Ask Questions Later dubs it “Obama’s fiscal tramp stamp.”

Yes, the National Recovery Administration. It ran from 1933 until 1935 when it was declared un-Constitutional by the Supreme Court. The banner had NRA at the top, an eagle with a gear in one set of talons, and lightning bolts in the other over the slogan “We do our part”.

I thought of the same thing when I heard of the logo. I’m still surprised that it doesn’t have The One’s “O”.

“As part of the “First New Deal”, the NRA was based on the idea that the Great Depression was caused by market instability and that government intervention was necessary to balance the interests of farmers, business and labor. The NIRA, which created the NRA, declared that codes of fair competition should be developed through public hearings, and gave the Administration the power to develop voluntary agreements with industries regarding work hours, pay rates, and price fixing.[2]“

Take a look at the style, the colors and the language they use in conjunction with all of them, then go and look at the “Pro-Government/Pro-Leader” posters and slogans of both the afore-mentioned countries/governments. The parallels are indeed very scary.

It is almost as scary as the similarities between what they are doing to this country along with their stated goals and plans to do to this country.

I thought the same thing – how all the ‘art’ reminded me of “the soviet man” posters.

A number of things bother me, the 150K jobs ‘created or saved’ (look soon for a transformation to ‘saved or created’, since it is impossible to prove a negative) are all of the project duration type, i.e., common labor that will be laid off when the project is complete. For years experts have said that the future US workforce must be educated to meet the demand of the technological nature of the jobs. We instead choose to fund with taxpayer dollars, shovel and pickax jobs with no future.

Geitner’s approach now is like the reformed smoker or drinker, nothing is worse than a reformed zealot – so we are going to go after corporations who have overseas branches – forcing the companies to move wholly overseas to avoid the destructive taxes levied on them – there go some more jobs.

Hillary has committed $900M to rebuilding Gaza, yet no one to my knowledge has said where this money will come from (besides the good ole US Tax Payer) – add this to the mounting debt.

It has been said that the reason very few Senators have ever been elected President is that they lack the experience of having ever managed anything other than their staffs – Obama surely is another good example – while no one will argue about is speaking or ‘showmanship’ ability, when it comes down to where the rubber meets the road, his inexperience glares. What Wall Street is reflecting is that every time he or his staff open their mouths about some ‘new plan’, it’s like throwing pasta against the wall hoping it sticks – nothing is credible or the ‘solution’ is so far left as to be absolutely scary to any knowledgeable investor. It has been said that “those who can, do, and those who can’t theorize”, Obama has surrounded himself with theorists with no experience in application. Wall Street has made errors, but no one can say the these people are dumb, they do know their business, so when they as a whole are running scared, it reminds me of the t-shirt “I’m an explosives expert – if you see me running, perhaps you should too!”
