“This party atmosphere sends the wrong message”

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 7, 2009 11:27 AM

The Obama cocktail party-and-conga line bonanza is coming under scrutiny:

An organization that serves as a watchdog on the U.S. government for American taxpayers has launched a campaign to uncover exactly how much tax money is being spent on parties at the Obama White House.

The president has shown a penchant for lavish galas, such as the huge assembly orchestrated in Denver when he accepted his party’s nomination for president – an outdoor gathering for some 75,000 featuring a stage with Greek columns. He also held a multimillion-dollar victory celebration in Chicago, and his fancy inauguration cost an estimated $170 million, according to ABC News.

Now, Larry Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch, told WND today he’s seeking information about the partying in the White House since the Obamas moved in…

…Klayman said the reports of the partying at the White House, “with the likes of Steve Wonder and other high priced entertainment stars,” will be the focus of document requests being submitted to the General Services Administration. The requests will seek to determine how much taxpayer money is being used.

“Barack and Michelle Obama have been throwing taxpayer funded parties nearly every night with their ‘friends’ and supporters, with Michelle Obama even exhorting them not to ‘break’ White House property,” Klayman’s announcement said.

“This party atmosphere sends the wrong message to the American people. As the Obama-Clinton crowd party on, the American people are suffering greatly,” Klayman said.

Welcome back Carter! After all, there is nothing more endearing to our enemies than to show weakness. No wait! I misspoke! There is nothing more provocative to our enemies than to show weakness.

How did that work in those South-side Chicago ‘hoods Obama organized in his prior career as community organizer? Aren’t they suffering through a monstrous wave of killings?

Oh, well. I suppose being organized counts for something. Afghanistan will now be an organized killing field.

Joy. Here is the part that really annoys me. It’s a tactic Obama uses when being criticized by conservatives:

“Mr. Obama dismissed criticism from conservatives that he was driving the country toward socialism… actions have been “entirely consistent with free-market principles” and… large-scale government intervention in the markets and expansion of social welfare programs began under President George W. Bush.”

See my problem? He uses “began under Bush” to respond to conservative criticisms. Do you ever hear any RINOs call him on it? No. The GOP is still being led by Hannitized RINOs who also use “Republican” and “conservative” interchangeably.

It is a very important distinction to make because it cuts to the heart of the problem we conservatives have with the GOP. We better start making this distinction soon if we hope to take these tax protests all the way.

This GOP is stupefyingly lame. Conservatives must either seize control of the GOP soon or else unite behind a new party.

You forgot the “/sarc” tag… if it were that simple, we wouldn’t be in this mess to begin with.

Pasedena – You will never see me call myself a Republican. I haven’t in quite some time. I am a conservative and yes, the two are quite different.

As to seizing conrol, there aren’t enough true conservatives left to seize anything. I don’t see much unity on the right at this point although action is finally awakening. And not enough people see the real danger in what is happening. To most it appears to be nothing but a blip on the radar and all will be okay soon. Just politics.

I keep asking the question, and haven’t seen a response yet, and I’m sure many think me totally out there for even asking… but I’ll ask again.

At what precise point in time should the Germans have recognized the evil and stopped Hitler? And how? Hindsight is 20/20, but hindsight is also too late. Only time will tell if I’m an alarmist lunatic or not.

The Rev. was being hyper-critical of Der Fuhrer and of his followers. He has been taking a great deal of heat for pointing out the obvious. It seems that the community of Obama apologists and supporters cannot stand to have a mirror placed in front of them and being shown for who and what they are.

All thepeople who are even attempting to bring up President Bush as a comparison to what Der Fuhrer is doing are dong nothing more than, once again, demonstrating their deep ignorance as to what the truth of the matter was about the Bush Administration as well as what their false god and Lady MacBeth are doing.

Just what kinds of friends and supporters do they have where Lady MacBeth needs to beg them not to damage items in the White House?

It is clear that Der Fuhrer and his power-hungry bride have absolutely no respect for this country, it’s history or it’s people, but are the people they surround themselves with really just that stupid and careless and ignorant as to how to act, what to do and how to respect the White House, what it means, what it symbolizes throughout the world and just how valuable and priceless as well as irreplaceable the things in the White House are?

Just how ghetto are these parties?

Do these imbeciles who are still deluded enough to apologize for and make excuses for these two Shakespearean characters occupying the People’s House really believe that they should be throwing extravagant parties every single night on the tax payers dime? Do they really believe that Bush did anything even remotely close to what they are doing? Do they even know just how few State Dinners Bush even had during the eight years he was President?

My God…the millions and millions of dollars this buffoon has spent on himself and his wife since he usurped the office is breaking records, and is so obnoxious that even the media is noticing and mentioning it. Does anyone really believe for one nano-second that he has done a damn thing to warrant a single solitary party, let alone one every night?

And are people really so stupid as to believe he does not drink at these things when there was a picture on this very site this morning showing him holding up an enormous glass of wine?

While this country is supposedly so hideously bad off and having the hardest time since 1929 (you may have to look up that date to know what I am referring to, LGM) these people are partying like they are some French Monarch from the 18th Century.

Well, we all know what happened to those monarchs, don’t we? Looks like yet again, the Liberals are showing an incredible ignorance when it comes to history and learning from it.

How much longer will these amateurs at the helm of this country be allowed to get away with this?

This all can end rather quickly, if the courts would enforce the Constitution and force him to provide his actual birth certificate. Not the BS “live birth” garbage he showed on his site, but the actual birth certificate that he flew all the way to Hawaii under the lie of visiting his dying grandmother (without bringing his daughters, I might add, so they could say their good-byes) to seal and hide from the public. And having shown it, arresting each and every person with knowledge of the fraud he committed against this country. THAT would be justice served.

Anyone who is carrying on about the Bush’s having one is only showing they don’t really know what they are talking about.

So, just when should they have stopped Obama and Lady MacBeth? In 1995, right after they read his first “auto”-biography that had been ghost written by an unrepentant, admitted terrorist.

Read these and Samuel Adam to understand what the founding fathers went through to give us what we have, a noble experiment of man. I think the GOP as a party of political influence is dead as the acronym as been so damaged that it may never be able to recover. I repeat my earlier post, that what is needed is a new party built around the core of the founding fathers beliefs of limited federal government, a revision of the tax code – perhaps a national sales tax to replace the current (though that will throw gobs of accountants and tax lawyers onto the pile of the unemployed).

White House budget director Peter Orszag says the Obama administration isn’t happy with the billions of dollars aimed at lawmakers’ pet projects — also known as earmarks. Obama had campaigned on changing the way such money is appropriated by Congress.

Yet Orszag says Obama doesn’t want to revisit the spending bill Congress put together before he was elected and wants to move on. Next year, according to Orszag, when Obama is fully involved in the next budget from the start, earmarks will be handled differently.

Obama’s budget chief appeared Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

This was in USA today. Now we know who’s actually running the country – N. Pelosi and her deputy H. Reid – and O-BUM-A is just the puppet in a string.

That is really dumb. The bill hasn’t passed yet, but will, on HIS watch. This type of research should be done by private industry and government has no business here. If embryonic stem cell research was so promising, don’t you think the venture capitalists would be tripping over themselves to fund this? Same way they do with other cutting edge technologies?

The only kind of stem cell therapy that has worked with success has been by using adult stem cells. But of course, you’ll never hear about that in the MSM. Let’s put the money on things that have worked:

    February 2009

UCLA researchers published their results in February issue of the Bentham Open Stem Cell Journal which outlines the long term results of the trial.

“We have documented the first successful adult neural stem cell transplantation to reverse the effects of Parkinson’s disease and demonstrated the long term safety and therapeutic effects of this approach,” says lead author Dr. Michel Levesque.

The paper describes how Levesque’s team was able to isolate patient-derived neural stem cells, multiply them in vitro and ultimately differentiate them to produce mature neurons before they are reintroduced into the brain.

The team was able to inject the adult stem cells without the need for immunosuppressants. Unlike embryonic stem cells, adult stem cell injections don’t cause a patient’s immune system to reject the cells.

The adult stem cells were highly beneficial for the patient involved in the study.

“Of particular note are the striking results this study yielded — for the five years following the procedure the patient’s motor scales improved by over 80% for at least 36 months,” Levesque wrote.

    A little off topic…….

HERE is the whole article. Excerpt:

The phone call came after the president was asked aboard his plane: “Are you a socialist as some people have suggested?”

He was clear in his first answer: “You know, let’s take a look at the budget – the answer would be no.”

Is there anything wrong with saying, ‘Yes’?” a Times reporter pressed.

“Let’s just take a look at what we’ve done,” Obama said, ticking off efforts his administration has made to stabilize the economy. But he acknowledged that, as he told Joe the Plumber, he plans to try to spread the wealth around.

I love how leftists can never admit to what they believe. Hussein refused o answer the question with a ‘NO.’ Leftists have to rely on deception to get their policies in place.

A person can call a chair a piano, but it’s still a chair. Hussein can call it whatever he wants, it’s still Socialism and he’s afraid to come out and say it.

WordPress eats any post with more than two links and throws it in a spam folder. I have a small photo site and I get TONS of spam, so I can only imagine how much MM’s site gets. For her to find real posts in all that would be quite difficult. I never even check my spam folder any more.

Hopefully someone will rescue it from the abyss, but if not, I guess it wasn’t meant to be posted.

I did say thanks for the compliments and they were making me blush as I was not used to such things.

Considering that Wikipedia is one of the biggest Liberal run sites on the net, and is just as famous for having completely wrong information as it is for having completely biased information, is anyone surprised at all that there are any number of Blueshirts monitoring his bio making sure that is remains all fluffy and nice without a hint of controversy or truth?

Like I have said, once he is finally exposed as the usurping fraud that everyone knows he is, I look forward to the arrests and prosecution of any and all people who had anything, no matter how small, to do with perpetrating what will become the largest act of treason in the history of civilization. That would include just about every Democrat and RINO in both houses, and would guarantee the death of Liberalism in this country.

They gambled with everything they had when they backed him. They decided it was worth losing everything, and now it is time that the Supreme Court give the men and women serving in the Military their day in court. They have paid enough already, let their case be heard and stop throwing it out before the damage is irreversible.

I have to admit, I don’t really care about these parties. As best I can tell, they’re chump change compared to everything else he’s spending. I’m more concerned with the purely fraudulent claim that the lying bamster is going to “save” two trillion over 10 years by not spending money that was never intended to be spent, or that the economy is going to grow by 5.5% in 2011. That’s just pure BS.

Boy, you sure can always count on LGm and IHMC to live up to the Liberal playbook of always having absolutely nothing intelligent to say unless it is something completely irrelevant and/or childish.

Great argument there…really, really deep and insightful. Your wealth of knowledge is mind-boggling…truly, truly mind-boggling. You must really make your mom happy that she allows you to live in her basement.
