Analysts to Obama: There are no Taliban “moderates,” you nitwit

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 9, 2009 04:26 PM

Have pity on the poor man. He’s tired.

And living in a dream world:

U.S. President Barack Obama’s proposal to reach out to moderate Taliban will fail to end the Afghan insurgency as it is inflexible Taliban leaders who are orchestrating the war, not moderates, analysts said.

Obama, in an interview with the New York Times newspaper published on its website on Saturday, expressed an openness to adapting tactics in Afghanistan that had been used in Iraq to reach out to moderate elements there.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai welcomed Obama’s proposal but analysts were doubtful.

“Obama’s comment resemble a dream more than reality,” said Waheed Mozhdah, an analyst who has written a book on the Taliban.

“Where are the so-called moderate Taliban? Who are the moderate Taliban?” asked Mozhdah, who was an official in both the Taliban and the Karzai governments.

Karzai’s pro-Western administration and the growing number of foreign forces in Afghanistan have increasingly come under attack from a resurgent Taliban, with Obama now describing Afghanistan as a top foreign policy priority for his new administration.

“‘Moderate Taliban’ is like ‘moderate killer’. Is there such a thing?”, asked writer and analyst Qaseem Akhgar.

Much more where that came from…here.

No brain activity, pull the plug.

In fact there is no such thing as a ‘moderate’ Islamist. Any Islamist who calls himself a ‘moderate’ does follow the teaching of Mohamed. And if your not going to follow the teachings of your religious leader, whats the point? It’s not up to disciples to pick and choose what parts to follow.

Try to be a 1/3 Islamist. Pretty silly.

Of course, I guess you could always be like the Mormans. If you don’t like the teachings, have your elders vote the teachings out and change them.

Besides, weren’t we once allies with the Taliban when Afghanistan was invaded by the Soviets?

Moreover, when cutting deals we got into bed with Musharraf who came to power in a coup, arrested lawyers and let terrorists reside peacefully in Waziristan. So talking to people is more than conversation, it is about getting a agreement you can live with. Was talking with Musharraf a good thing, based on the agreements he made?

Talking in Iraq by Gen Petraeus, had good results. I am willing to wait for results of any continued talking before making and reaching any conclusions.

because the president was facing exhaustion over America’s economic crisis and is unable to focus on foreign affairs,

Oh…MY…GOD!!! Are they actually serious? The man has been in office less than 2 months and he is already whining about being tired? So tired, in fact, that he is “unable to focus on foreign affairs”? Um…I hate to tell you this, but THAT’S YOUR FREAKING JOB!!!!

Then again, it is obvious that having to actually show up for work is a foreign idea for this man. Remember, this is the guy who spent more time in the gym than he did as either a State of National Senator.

But wait…has he not already taken several vacations since taking office already? Was he not just at Camp David over the weekend with his wife on yet another “romantic getaway”? Didn’t he fly off to Chicago less than a month ago so that he could have some “time off” and wooo Lady MacBeth on Valentine’s Weekend?

Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been “overwhelmed” by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest.

I see, he is just oh so exhausted from dealing with the “economic meltdown” that he and his staff have made worse to the point where he insults our greatest and strongest ally, but yet he is not too tired to spend every freaking night partying it up in the White House, getting his “freak on” with all his cronies. That he has time and energy for. Flying off to all parts of the country to partake in the “fringe benefits” of being the President he has time and energy for.

Being nice, following protocol and not slapping our allys in the face with the snotty-end of a proverbial Kleenex…well, that we must excuse him for.

Now, if I recall, the Liberals and Democrats gave President Bush no end of grief for taking the vacations he took. When President Bush took a vacation in 2004, after the 2004 elections, there were protests as well as endless media “talking heads” complaining about what a sissy he was for claiming to have been tired, that there was a war on, the economy was bad etc., etc., etc., and how dare he not only take a vacation, but how dare he even complain about being tired “when our brave men and women are fighting in a war he started. They don’t get a vacation and neither should he until he brings them home”.

So are we supposed to feel sorry for him? Are we just supposed to give him a pass now on all his screw ups? Is the Prime Minister of England supposed to send him sympathy flowers and say how he understands?

Look, if you can’t handle the heat, go home. If you can’t handle the job, quit and let’s get someone in there that knows what the hell they are doing and isn’t going to be a whiny little punk about it.

Barack Hussein Obama…showing us every day why he was never the right man for the job.

This is too good, and no where near enough space for it here. I got a whooooole lot of writing to do.

HOLY COW!!!! That has got to be the biggest insult to Great Britain since Yorktown.

I seem to have been understating things by calling this “Amature Hour” in the White House. These idiots have absolutely NO CLUE as to what diplomacy means, what it means to be allies with a country, or how not to insult you biggest and best friend.

    I can see it now:

Faceless Admin. Lackey: Mein Fuhrer, the Al Qaeda terrorists seem to actually be real and apparently it was no “inside job” on 9-11. We found that out only moments ago when a nuclear weapon exploded in Los Angeles only moments ago, after a month of warnings from that guy with the same clothes you wore on that visit to Indonesia. We have at least 34 million that were killed instantly, with hundreds of thousands more that are wounded and expected to be suffering from radiation poisoning as the fall out begins to take effect. Apparently there really was a “War on Terror” all along. What should we do? Do we mobilize the People’s Police Enforcement? They seem to be better equipped than the military at this time.

MacBeth: *YAAAAAWWWWNNN*…Oh geez…I dunno. Maybe we should call someone to help, or at least give us some advice. I’m still hung from that par-tay last night, so I can’t really think straight.

Faceless Admin. Lackey: But who should we call Mein Fuhrer? We haven’t been given any orders on such things. We just thought it was all a ploy by Bush to raise his poll numbers.

MacBeth: Wait…there was that fellow that came over and brought me that pen and piece of paper…the one who talked all funny…you know…ummm…sounded like Monty Python movie…

Faceless Admin. Lackey: You mean the one you gave all those WalMart Dollar-Bin movies to? I thought that they got all bent out of shape.

MacBeth: Naw…I explained that to them. They understood that I wasn’t used to actually going to work every day and that being the leader of the Free World and the most Powerful Man in the World carried so much work and responsibillity. I mean, who knew? After all…I figured if that clod Bush could do it…

    *ring ring…*ring ring*…’ello? Prime Minister’s Residence…

MacBeth: Yo dawg…wutup? Hey, looks like you guys were right and we do have enemies that hateus, and not just Bush. They just set off one of those nookleear bomb thingies in Los Angeles and we seem to need your help. Whaddya say homie…can you help a brother out?

PM Brown: Oh, sorry old bean, but we seem to be really busy right now with our own stuff. We feel that after all these decades of “Special Treatment”, that America really is nothing and no one special. We figure you are no different then the other 190 countries in the world, so we wouldn’t want to show any “special favors”. After all, might put us in bad with the fellows who blew up your city, and we can’t have that. But thank you for thinking of us, and I’ll try to drop you a line once we get through “Annie”. Thanks again for the films, and the boys said the helicopters broke and were wondering if the White House Gift Shop you nabbed them from would exchange them.

Well, you got your wish. The Queen herself has invited the MacBeths over for tea when they are there for the G20 summit, and he accepted.

I can just see it now. Taking High Tea with the Queen of England is no small matter. I can just picture Lady MacBeth turning up her nose at the way the entire thing is presented, complete with MacBeth asking for his to be iced tea, then not being able to comprehend the look of utter disgust, along with the consescending remarks and activities that will surrond anything and everything they do or say by the Brits that are in attendance.

The Queen herself will, of course, be most gracious and will be perfectly British and proper throughout the entire event. This will only magnify the two buffoons and their buffoonery that will occur throughout the entire event.

Remember, the people that are in charge of handling the protocol and training the MacBeths how to act and how to speak during such an event are the same ones who had no idea how to handle the Prime Minister of England, let alone know that you do not give your best and biggest ally, the one who saved the entire world from fascism with you a mere 64 years ago, a gift from the bargain bin at the $0.99 store.

I can only imagine that the Queen, having a well known sense of humor, merely invited the tow of them to High Tea simply so that she could see for herself just what buffoons and hicks the two of them really are.

Seriously, does anyone here really believe anyone in the Obama Administration knows what High Tea is, let alone what High Tea with one of the only European monarchs left, let alone one so beloved throughout the world and who still has some power and say left in her country?

We will be lucky to still be on speaking terms with them at the end of that event, let alone still having them as allies.

How many people still feel he was the best man for the job? How many people still think that Ayers had nothing to do with his political beliefs?

And for extra credit, can anyone tell me just who it is on this planet, politically, that feels Great Britain is no big deal and should not be treated any different, as well as not understanding why GB would be upset about being snubbed by the US? I bet if you thought long and hard enough, the political group would come to mind.

Obama is not the man we all said he was while we fought to make sure he did not get elected. He and those he has in his administration are far, far worse than ANY of us could have imagined…

I don’t know why all of this should come as any surprise to us. After all, he has reversed many of the Bush domestic and social policies, so it only figures that he would reverse any and all foreign policies:

    Give allies the finger…

    Spoon up to terrorist states…

    Play footsies with rogue sects…

    Bankrupt America and her people…

Well, you got your wish. The Queen herself has invited the MacBeths over for tea when they are there for the G20 summit, and he accepted.

That will be something to see if they keep the same tack they’re on now.

RetFireman, for anyone that’s reading about all that’s going on with Obama and his minions, it’s pretty clear the situation is not good for Americans. Pick a topic… and there’s bad news.

    Healthcare…
    Defense…
    Relations with long standing allies…
    Relations with long standing enemies…
    The budget…
    Taxes…
    The economic..
    The Free Markets…
    The Sanctity of Life…
    Social Security…

Think back when many were bailing on McCain and saying screw him.. I’m not voting.. and the ensuing argument about how bad the alternative was. I was among those supremely frustrated with McCain.. though I ended up voting for him in the end… grudgingly.

But alas…. that “Alternative” is here.

And it’s looking every bit as bad as was feared.

I would love to hear Obama’s definition of the ‘moderate Taliban”.

Do females factor into this, or is treating women like dogs and keeping them as slaves just a “cultural thing?”

Is it OK to beat women in the streets or behead them in sport arena areas, forbid them to go go school?

Consider whether it is alright to force women to leave their jobs, be forced to stay in the home and not leave without a heavy veil and accompanied by a male relative… that OK?

Obama’s makes claim to healthcare for all – - the Taliban will not allow women to be medically treated by a male doctor – - and of course women are not allowed to work, so where does that leave the healthcare for females? Cultural again??

And… please, let’s DO remember the beatings of women in the streets for ‘breaking their laws.” (I remember thinking that the answer for those women was carrying a small handgun under their Burkas and using it when necessary.) Public Street beatings??? How moderate is that?

Just wondering…. we should ask the Press secretary at the White house exactly what it means to be one of the ‘moderates”…. really.

Just think; its been less than two months since the Kenyan Ba5tard President of the United States took office and its only going to get worse.

There was a good editorial this morning about the Top 10 mistakes O has made, and most of these are mistakes that past Presidents went nearly entire 4-8 year terms in office without making them. (Yes, even Bill Clinton didn’t make some these bone head mistakes that the Zero is making).

To make matters worse, none of what is going on in the O’s administration suprises me and I have been telling my classmates at Memphis what was going to happen….Sad thing is that its happening right now and there is nothing we can do to stop it short of either 2011 elections or a civil war.

Obama, you stinking piece of egotistical nonsense, let’s see you ‘negotiate’ with these kinds of ‘people’ (CAUTION – The link is to a photo that reveals the brutal REALITY of who the Taliban actually are.)

Hey…look at that. You have found those mythical “Moderate” Taliban guys. As you can see, they merely cut off appendages, not the actual heads, then wear them as trophies.

I suppose it is also the Moderate Taliban guys that are destroying priceless statues, carvings, paintings and other irreplaceable historical landmarks, buildings etc., such as the thousands of years old enormous Buddhas throughout the Asian Provinces where the Taliban can be found. In fact, there is a good deal of fear in Egypt that such destruction could befall the pyramids and other antiquities as the teachings that such items are blasphemous and offend ALlah spreads throughout Islam

I would say maybe MacBeth might want to go and save something like that for himself, but it is clear that he had absolutely no sense for such items, as witnessed by the way he reacted to the items Prime Minister Brown gave him along with his response. After all, the priceless artifacts Brown gave him only equaled the price of 25 DVDs in MacBeth’s mind.

General Petraeus used the time honored carrot or the stick effectively. Obama wants to give them all carrots and no stick. Obama is an imbecile!

What makes you think Pres Obama will not use a stick? Is he an imbecile because he wants to pursue those who actually perpertraited 9/11? Recall that Pres Obama wants to increase the number of troops in Afghanistan to go after the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

When Pres Obama suggests the use of sticks, going after the terrorist in Waziristan, Pakistan, he is attacked for wanting to invade an ally. An ally who came to power in a coup. Yes, that would be General Musharraf. Yep, that ally who arrested and jailed lawyers, and made agreements to allow the terrorist to live and roam freely in Waziristan.

The only stick that matters is the one that has Osama Bin Laden’s head on one.

Is that enough ’stick’ for you?

Stop assigning motive and creating straw men, and accept some level of reality.
