Analysts to Obama: There are no Taliban “moderates,” you nitwit

U.S. President Barack Obama’s proposal to reach out to moderate Taliban will fail to end the Afghan insurgency as it is inflexible Taliban leaders who are orchestrating the war, not moderates, analysts said.
Obama, in an interview with the New York Times newspaper published on its website on Saturday, expressed an openness to adapting tactics in Afghanistan that had been used in Iraq to reach out to moderate elements there.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai welcomed Obama’s proposal but analysts were doubtful.
“Obama’s comment resemble a dream more than reality,” said Waheed Mozhdah, an analyst who has written a book on the Taliban.
“Where are the so-called moderate Taliban? Who are the moderate Taliban?” asked Mozhdah, who was an official in both the Taliban and the Karzai governments.
Karzai’s pro-Western administration and the growing number of foreign forces in Afghanistan have increasingly come under attack from a resurgent Taliban, with Obama now describing Afghanistan as a top foreign policy priority for his new administration.
“‘Moderate Taliban’ is like ‘moderate killer’. Is there such a thing?”, asked writer and analyst Qaseem Akhgar.

“Moderate Taliban”? I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time. It’s all rainbows and unicorns and tax evasion for these people.
*Surely there are still some thinking Democrats in D.C. that will come out against this insane policy; As I have said before, we have a Carter with a tan when we need a Churchill with a plan; P-BO is rapidly dismantling our Constitutional Republic with every move that he makes.

Just like one of those ditsy beauty queens that wants ‘world peace.’ Perhaps he could invite the ‘moderate’ Taliban to emigrate to America, along with the ‘moderate’ Gaza people? You can only wonder about the guy….

The way you can spot a “moderate Taliban” is when the Hellfire from the drone hits his hut the secondary explosions are smaller than your typical Taliban’s hut.

The Taliban was a fundamentalist student movement to reestablish Afghanistan as a Pure Muslim society and revert it completely back to 700A.D. (from the 820A.D. it is today).

A moderate Taliban is one who has assumed room temperature.
I am confused since this is what Gen Petraeus did in Iraq. And, it worked. If you can’t cut a deal with them, well . . . you kill them. You are either part of the problem, or part of the solution.
Besides, weren’t we once allies with the Taliban when Afghanistan was invaded by the Soviets?
Moreover, when cutting deals we got into bed with Musharraf who came to power in a coup, arrested lawyers and let terrorists reside peacefully in Waziristan. So talking to people is more than conversation, it is about getting a agreement you can live with. Was talking with Musharraf a good thing, based on the agreements he made?
Talking in Iraq by Gen Petraeus, had good results. I am willing to wait for results of any continued talking before making and reaching any conclusions.

I see, he is just oh so exhausted from dealing with the “economic meltdown” that he and his staff have made worse to the point where he insults our greatest and strongest ally, but yet he is not too tired to spend every freaking night partying it up in the White House, getting his “freak on” with all his cronies. That he has time and energy for. Flying off to all parts of the country to partake in the “fringe benefits” of being the President he has time and energy for.
Being nice, following protocol and not slapping our allys in the face with the snotty-end of a proverbial Kleenex…well, that we must excuse him for.
Now, if I recall, the Liberals and Democrats gave President Bush no end of grief for taking the vacations he took. When President Bush took a vacation in 2004, after the 2004 elections, there were protests as well as endless media “talking heads” complaining about what a sissy he was for claiming to have been tired, that there was a war on, the economy was bad etc., etc., etc., and how dare he not only take a vacation, but how dare he even complain about being tired “when our brave men and women are fighting in a war he started. They don’t get a vacation and neither should he until he brings them home”.
So are we supposed to feel sorry for him? Are we just supposed to give him a pass now on all his screw ups? Is the Prime Minister of England supposed to send him sympathy flowers and say how he understands?
Look, if you can’t handle the heat, go home. If you can’t handle the job, quit and let’s get someone in there that knows what the hell they are doing and isn’t going to be a whiny little punk about it.

Obama’s makes claim to healthcare for all – - the Taliban will not allow women to be medically treated by a male doctor – - and of course women are not allowed to work, so where does that leave the healthcare for females? Cultural again??
And… please, let’s DO remember the beatings of women in the streets for ‘breaking their laws.” (I remember thinking that the answer for those women was carrying a small handgun under their Burkas and using it when necessary.) Public Street beatings??? How moderate is that?

Just think; its been less than two months since the Kenyan Ba5tard President of the United States took office and its only going to get worse.
There was a good editorial this morning about the Top 10 mistakes O has made, and most of these are mistakes that past Presidents went nearly entire 4-8 year terms in office without making them. (Yes, even Bill Clinton didn’t make some these bone head mistakes that the Zero is making).
To make matters worse, none of what is going on in the O’s administration suprises me and I have been telling my classmates at Memphis what was going to happen….Sad thing is that its happening right now and there is nothing we can do to stop it short of either 2011 elections or a civil war.

Hey…look at that. You have found those mythical “Moderate” Taliban guys. As you can see, they merely cut off appendages, not the actual heads, then wear them as trophies.
I suppose it is also the Moderate Taliban guys that are destroying priceless statues, carvings, paintings and other irreplaceable historical landmarks, buildings etc., such as the thousands of years old enormous Buddhas throughout the Asian Provinces where the Taliban can be found. In fact, there is a good deal of fear in Egypt that such destruction could befall the pyramids and other antiquities as the teachings that such items are blasphemous and offend ALlah spreads throughout Islam
I would say maybe MacBeth might want to go and save something like that for himself, but it is clear that he had absolutely no sense for such items, as witnessed by the way he reacted to the items Prime Minister Brown gave him along with his response. After all, the priceless artifacts Brown gave him only equaled the price of 25 DVDs in MacBeth’s mind.

What makes you think Pres Obama will not use a stick? Is he an imbecile because he wants to pursue those who actually perpertraited 9/11? Recall that Pres Obama wants to increase the number of troops in Afghanistan to go after the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
When Pres Obama suggests the use of sticks, going after the terrorist in Waziristan, Pakistan, he is attacked for wanting to invade an ally. An ally who came to power in a coup. Yes, that would be General Musharraf. Yep, that ally who arrested and jailed lawyers, and made agreements to allow the terrorist to live and roam freely in Waziristan.
The only stick that matters is the one that has Osama Bin Laden’s head on one.
