Octo-mom gets a new house
She’s still jobless and husband-less with 14 kids. On welfare. Splurging on video games. Moving out of a home owned by her mom, who’s $20,000 behind on mortgage payments.
And moving in to a half-million-dollar southern California home arranged for by dad and reportedly paid for with the cash she’s been raking in from her Octo-mom notoriety.
We’ve learned her dad is the purchaser of the 2,583 square-foot house for Octo. It’s located in La Habra, near where OctoGrandma lives now. It has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, a large master bedroom with a walk-in closet and a large backyard. It’s listed for $564,900. The buyer apparently paid near asking price.
It’s listed by Mike Patel of Prudential Realty in Anaheim Hills in the O.C. We’re told the deal was just inked and it will close on Friday. Sources also say the “substantial down payment” came from money that OctoMom has been scoring over the last few weeks. As one source put it, “the money has been coming from all over the place — $15,000 here, $25,000 there.” We’re told the seller is financing the deal.
We’re told Octo will either move in over the weekend or early next week.
I know I’m not the only one with the sick feeling that taxpayers will be on the hook for this financial basket case sooner rather than later.

I just don’t understand how she can be on welfare w/ money in the bank…
I thought in order to get welfare, you can’t have more than $2000 in the bank.
Regardless of the downpayment, what reliable income qualifies her for ANY mortgage? Even with inflation, fifteen minutes of fame only lasts a few days. This needs more research.
And what happened with the fertility doctor who enabled this welfare freak in the first place?
I just wonder how many houses we already own in CA now?
If she can afford a down payment, she can afford to pay her medical bills.

there’s no such thing as a big back yard. ANY yard, is a big backyard. Had she moved 5 miles further west, she likely could’ve found an older home that could’ve reached 3000sf. She’s going to need every foot there is.

A $600,000 home for OctoMom? Crikey, what are we coming to? The entitlement mentaility is a lot like a virus … actually maybe more like a prion. You know, the type of thing that causes mad cow. Prions operate by taking normal proteins and just by coming into contact with them, subverting them into their warped and dangerous form. High-profile and widespread examples of hand-out seekers are just about the same thing.
Don’t worry, though, at least all those unused fertility clinic embryos will soon be put to good use.

I’d like to see how she’s going to pay the property taxes on such a house.

Current language in the housing bill is only for property mortgaged before Jan 1, 2009.
That being said, Octomom can perform a service. All the frozen embryos that might become science experiments, under Pres Obama, need some place to grow. She can bring them to term for a fee, then put the children up for adoption.
It is the one thing she is good at, and maybe that will pay the mortgage.

15 people in that 4 bedroom house works out to be 12.7′X12.7′ space/person. Less space if her parents move in too. Has this woman figured out how she would be able to get the newborns to the doctor for all their inoculations? The mechanics and logistics of all this are beyond her. She will need one of those mini school buses to transport all those kids, not to mention all the cars seats and a dumpster for all the diapers.

Okay, admittedly I have not been following the Octomom story (there’s really only so much I can take in a day) but isn’t in vitro really expensive? Who paid for these treatments? And don’t they screen people and oh, say, weed out the ones already on welfare????

If any of those 14 precious prisoners of nihilism survive to adulthood I would guess drugs, prison and welfare dependency are their lot.
In this particular case I would guess many millions over the years. There was a time such behavior was shunned-now it is embraced, paid for and encouraged. We are told she loves her babies; Narcissism leaves no room for the love of others.
This Love Child Boom of the last 40 years has been good for one industry-prison construction. We are told drugs are the big reason but I think that is but a symptom-a means to cope with having such a slu_t for a mother and “who’s your daddy xy chromosomed donor” for a father.
If you can and if you will pray for those 14 precious prisoners of nihilism-all of Bill Gates money coupled with Steve Forbes could not buy them hope from their mother’s narcissism; that kind of selfishness always destroys. What little I read about her “dad” I guess Octo-mom was to be expected. It is generational this sinful (judgmental word, I know) narcissism. Ba’al, the god of fertility, is also the god of child sacrifice and seems to have a large cult following here, catch their dance around the Asherah pole, check your local listings.

Well said ArizonaNeanderthal she has no room in her life for those kids, she no room in her life for anyone but herself.
I suspect a fair amount of what she takes in from anyone gullible enough to pay her would go towards her cosmetic surgeries. She might need several operations to take care of those stretch marks. I don’t think she would qualify for one of those extreme makeover shows so no freebie there.
Gee, and here I am, raising three daughters alone on a very fixed income, paying my rent and bills, doing things correctly without asking for handouts.
Where is MY “bailout”?
Makes raising kids just that much harder when the examples they see everywhere is, “Do nothing, be lazy, blame everyone else for your problems and failures and you will get anything and everything you want handed to you.”
It amazes me, the contradition, that liberals hail abortion and the destruction of human embryos, yet decry the death penalty. One group is completely innocent…they deserve to die. The other guilty…they deserve to live. The new reason? It’s too expensive to kill them. Maybe they ought to learn from Asia. Sorry, a little out of the thread, but I thought I’d post it anyway. As far as Octomoron, the MSM will use her til they exhaust it all, then, as always, move on to another loser.
I would personally donate one box of ammunition to any firing squad they put in place if they promise to actually use the Death Penalty, and do away with the endless number of appeals which allows the guilty to die of old age long before their sentence can be carried out.
Three appeals and that’s it. The first one is automatic. After that you have two left…you better make them good ones. Following the end of the third one, sentence is carried out within 24 hours.
While I do not ascribe to the theory that the Death Penalty is meant to be a deterrent, I do believe that if they actually began to carry it out, it might actually have that chance.
However, the Death Penalty is just that…a PENALTY. In fact it is the ULTIMATE PENALTY and nothing more.
It is for the worst of the worst, when that evil needs to be permanently removed from the gene pool. Life in prison without parole is a harsh sentence, but that person still has the rest of his life in which he can continue his life of crime, including continuing to murder. Death, however, is permanent and the absolute only way in which anyone can guarantee that the criminal will never, ever harm another person ever again.
I have actually sat on a Capital Offense Jury. I actually came face to face with my convictions, so I speak from experience. Let me tell you, until you are actually placed in that position and forced face to face with those convictions, you truly do not know how you will feel. I was able to go home when it was finished and live with my choice. Thank God.

This a sad, sad story. First poor woman fell victim to a predatory mother who forced her to live in her home for free. Then she fell victim to predatory fertility specialists who exposed her to predatory sperm banks who impregnated her with predatory sperm from predatory donors. Then she was taken advantage of predatory doctors who delivered those babies. And now, to top it off she has been bamboozled by predatory lenders. America is such an evil place.

I have always been a staunch defender of large families, provided the family is an actual family – mother, father married, etc. – and can care for itself, even simply (not all 10 kids need their own bedrooms, ya know, nor designer clothes).
She meets neither of these criteria.
The children should go to families who can’t have their own or are willing to adopt – it’s better for all concerned.
I suppose the “dad owns it” is to keep the bank for slapping a $20,000 lien on the house from the mortgage she didn’t pay. Just who is stupid enough to give this woman money and reward irresponsibility. Oh yeah, that’s the O way so it was probably Oprah and Dr. Phil.
As others have remarked, this house is not even big enough for her and the kids. If she takes the master bedroom, that leaves 5 kids in two bedrooms and 4 in the other. She’d have to take all eight babies into the master bedroom to put two kids in every other bedroom.
Look how tiny the living areas are. Where is she going to feed them? Did she thing of forgoing the brick and landscaping on the outside and marble on the inside and then maybe buying a larger house for the money? Maybe moving to someplace where she could get far more house for the money?
How pathetic. A needy mother and her kids get a decent place to live and you not only resent her for it, you wish she didn’t have it.
Exactly what would make you people happy? Seeing this woman and her children living under a bridge? In a shopping cart? Would you like to make their daily struggles for survival a reality show so you can mock them, sneer at them, deride them, and watch them as the social injustice that had put them in such a position slowly claims their health, and their lives? I bet you want to see those wretched freeloaders die. Wouldn’t you?

It’s not pathetic to wish this woman wasn’t “needy” in the first place. Her needs are based on the fact that she has acted in an irresponsible fashion with complete disregard for the well being of the 6 children she had before hatching this latest brood. She is needy, because she generated a situation that was -completely- avoidable, when she was already in a bad situation to begin with, and showed absolute disregard for anything resembling common sense.
The rest of your mocking really falls flat. She chose to make her life the reality show it already is, some say possibly by design, and is making a profit from it. She is mocked for making the absolutely abysmal choices she’s made in relation to her family, and anyone with more than an ounce of common sense sees that something is clearly wrong with this woman. At best, she’s at fault for displaying poor judgment and disregarding good reason as having been presented by her mom. I absolutely agree that these children, who are not responsible for their situation, should absolutely be loved and protected like every other child. But your knee-jerk emotional response only justifies why it is people like this woman are allowed to flourish.
