Why doesn’t Congress require businesses to verify a person’s legal status in this country? Because the Liberals all say that to do so would be violating people’s personal rights and privacy.

There is just one thing that these people in Congress have forgotten in their quest for Political Correctness. They have all taken an oath. They took an Oath of Office for their particular elected position. That OATH was to uphold the Constitution. They have also, while embarking on this misguided quest, forgotten the the Constitution of the United States of America, and with it the Bill of Rights, ONLY APPLY TO AMERICAN CITIZENS.

What that means is, if you are here ILLEGALLY, if you are NOT and AMERICAN CITIZEN, then that Constitution, and along with it those Rights outlined therein, DO NOT APPLY TO YOU!

Therefore, to claim that it would be violating rights that do not exist is merely a scapegoat and a justification they have come up with for violating their oath and, yes, breaking the laws governing ILLEGAL Immigrants that are already on the books.

We don’t need new laws. We do not require any more debate on this issue. What we need are real, honest to God men and women with spines who will not be intimidated or pushed around by Liberal P.C. thugs and other associated Liberals. We need honest to God LOYAL AMERICANS to stand up for what is right in this country, to honor their oaths, to honor the millions and millions of hard working men and women who, just based on the very nature of the fact that these “elected officials” turn their backs on countless violations of the law, follow the law, do what is right and actually do have morals, values and consciences.

Is there anyone left with a soul in Washington? Is there anyone with a backbone that is not the color of…well, lemonaide?

So far, there has not been in a very long time. The number of citizens in this country who would support the strict implementation of the laws already on the books far outnumber those that do not, especially since the vast numbers that do not are not even permitted by law to be in opposition as they are not even citizens of this country.

Rightisright (#44)…I am betting on Kallifornia. In my home state of Idaho, we are already seeing thousands of Californians moving in to escape the hell hole that is developing in California. Montana, Oregon, and other states are are also feeling the impact of immigration from California. Our arrogant politicians are either too stupid or corrupt or both to halt the invasion of illegal aliens. We had better figure out how to do it ourselves, and soon.

All of you need to get all over your state legislatures to pass a law like the one we passed in 2007 here in Arizona … the state law requires all employers to use E-Verify to avoid liability should they be caught wth illegal aliens on their payroll … the state law does not make any exception in any industry nor does it exempt a federally funded project … it applies to the employer regardless of the work being done … failure to do so exposes the employer to fines and a loss of their business license …

If you can’t get your legislature to act then you need to start a petition drive to get it on the next ballot and work to pass it … that is what we did here in Arizona …

I know Oklahoma also passed some tough laws regarding all of this as well … so that law might also reveal some ideas of what you can do at the grass-roots level …

Auggie you are wrong . you don’t need a workman’s comp certificate to work construction at least not in residential. Another thing, its not “unscrupulous” contractors who hire these guys to work for them, a large percentage have thier own businesses, bring in thier countrymen, pay low wages and depress the wages of people like me because i am constantly being undercut on the bids i give out.
