Fox needs to start a new reality show called “Alinsky that Representative!”

Pick one a week (there are lots and lots to pick from);
Freeze the Politician (deer in headlight moment);
Personalize them (show votes, play speeches, promises, failures, bribes, earmarks, corruption, influence);
Polarize them (the voters will take care of this as the outcome)!

Better ratings than American Idol, I would guess….

Though I admire Jason for his guerilla-style reporting, I cringed a little when he asked Rangel “why the hell” instead of just “why,” which is what – I think – prompted Rangel’s profane response. What would Rangel’s response have been if Jason omitted “the hell” from his question? Would Rangel have been more open to discussing the issue?

Sure, however, even with Bunning’s incident, there are more hits to news articles about it. I’ll grant you that he did it with more reporters around.

My comment wasn’t so much directed at you for a misinterpreted Tu Quoque (I know that wasn’t your intent), but to point out that the Republican you mentioned had apologized for his tone even if he was justified in not releasing that information.

I don’t believe that Rangel regrets his tone at all and would do it again given opportunity.

There is something obscenely wrong when the media sits idly-by while elected officials in “our” government verbally abuse and sometimes man-handle their constituents – and just for asking the questions that need to be asked.

When VP Cheney had his fluff-up on the Senate floor with a smug, overbearing Democrat, that sure got the play – and that was just a verbal exchange between two fellow members of government – yet incidents like this go virtually unnoticed in the MSM. Why?
