Tea Party update: Revolution is brewing

Eric Odom reports that there are now 115 cities signed up for the April 15 nationwide Tax Day Tea Party protest. Wow. If you haven’t signed up, want to start your own, and are looking to meet up and organize with other tax revolters, go to Tax Day Tea Party’s website here.
Here’s a quick how-to guide.
#dontgo has opened up a Tax Day Tea Party store. Buy some swag, share with friends, spread the word.
Stay tuned to the Fresh Tea blog, where you can meet organizers from across the country. Check in with TCOT Report and Smart Girl Politics for more grass-roots organizing.
(On a parallel track, fellow Fox News colleague Glenn Beck has spearheaded “We Surround Them” parties scheduled across the country today. I’m hearing from lots of first-time activists who have found overlapping networks. The same principles that unite the “We Surround Them” effort also are in sync with the tax revolters. Synergy is good. We need every body and mind in motion we can get.)
In the meantime, other local Tea Party events keep rolling on.
*Reader Stan e-mails photos from Columbia, MO’s protest today:

MNUSMCDavid: I lunch almost daily with a Marine Colonel and we discuss this regularly so I am not a stranger to what you are saying.
I plan to attend several of these Tea Parties and fully expect that La Raza and/or ACORN will be sending the usual balaclava-hooded thugs to throw bottles of frozen of urine at us. The important thing is that we outnumber them substantially. The power is swinging to us and the MSM will not be able to ignore us if these Tea Parties turn into a broad movement.

Same as it was in 1776.
I’ve heard estimates that the three groups were roughly equal in size…
1/3 pro-independence, 1/3 loyal to the British crown, 1/3 wouldn’t take a stand one way or the other.
Our independence and freedom were earned by a minority of the population.
How I love the way Chicago completely screws up my state…

Yep.
That’s what I was taught way back in school, when public schools actually taught.
I’ve been recruiting people for the Chicago “party”.
Since “the ONE” is a Chi-Pol it’s extremely important that we “at home” send Washington a HUGE message!

Yes, I should use the correct term: “Reactionary.”
Further, there was no apology. I neither backtracked nor changed what I said.
Simply, if you are not seriously advocating revolution and are just using hyperbole, then my comments are not; and should not be taken as being; directed at you.

Unless you have some problem with me personally, I don’t understand why you “don’t want to agree with me” when you agree with me. (?)
Of course no American wants another Civil War, Zero.
But, a perfect storm of circumstances, politics, and treason is leading to something big on the horizon.
Liberals are at war with us (have been for decades) and with The Constitution.
The question is: will we act to make our voices heard and if, necessary, take a stand, or, do we REACT after it’s too late?
“Reactionaries” is the wrong term. Better to call us Patriots.
Roger:
If anyone here is advocating “Tea Parties” they can be called a “Patriot.” If they are talking about violence they are; by very definition; “reactionaries.”
Thank you Happyscrapper #98 for putting the link to the YouTube video created by PCWilliams. It is magnificent and I hope it really gets out there for millions to see. Thanks to both of you! I took the liberty of relinking it here: A MUST SEE

I am all for the Tea Parties. But I would like to make a strong suggestion. Beware of allowing the media, any media, to take control of the events.
Fullerton unfortunately allowed the radio jocks to take control, and of course for rating and shock value they led the people to display a ‘mock beheading’ of the Governator. People were parading around with ‘bloody severed heads’ of Arnold.
I implore everyone who is taking part in the parties (as I hope to do) to do so in a manner that doesn’t make us look like freaks and doesn’t mimmick Islamic terrorists and drug lords!
Those kind of antics may get attention, but it won’t be the right kind and it will provide our opponents with ammunition to distract from our main message.

Not buying it. That would require Satan to sharpen his iceskates.
More likely this is Code Pink planning an April Fool’s Day prank.
That’s OK. I hope all 3 conservatives who live in SF show up that day and kick Code Stink’s a$$.
Kansas City Metro event on April 15th! Quivira Rd and College Blvd from 5:30-7:30pm. Some exciting announcements to come! Check out our website and facebook group.
Yes, let’s keep it civil at all times. At the Ft Worth, TX tea party in Feb, there was a guy shouting “F*** Obama, Obama hates you!”
That has no place here.
#1: There are kids present, no profanity please (or anything that might actually incite violence from the Obamabots).
#2: This is not about Pres. Obama as a person, but rather the policies, corruption, taxes, spending, et cetera of the current government, including Mr Obama, Mizz Pelosi, Mr Reed, and many many others.
Shouting stuff like that only reinforces the left’s stereotype that we are reactionary bigots. We are loyal Americans who are FED UP with the shenanigans of our gov’t.
Are there any chi-town Malkinites that would be interested in meeting up at the 4/15 rally?
That could be fun.
-annoyinglittletwerp
Absolutely! It’s long and the first half is a bit depressing, but the second half more than makes up for it.
I get depressed when people argue that we can’t make a difference. I say “We MUST make a difference! If we want America back, if we want our employees in Washington DC to start working for US – We the People – we have no other choice but to start small and keep it growing.
Thank you Michelle for all you are doing towards this effort. It’s Herculean in our effort. For too long we’ve sat around saying “what can we do?”
That is why I refused to pin general and resigned my commission.
And I have no regrets.
Zero, we’re not there yet, but the approach speed doubles with each action. IF a time comes to choose, I hope you find what you need.

The ones who not only talked about violence but also murdered people were violent communist revolutionaries like Bill Ayers who have never waivered from their goal of World Revolution.
If anything, we are the counter-revolutionaries, part of the 25 million “diehard capitalists” Ayers said would need to be killed.
mike:
Don’t worry about me “finding” what I need. I “found” it for Iraq. I can “find” it against either gestapos or revolutionary reactionaries.

…and Bill Ayers attacked the government, which is exactly what “revolution” means.

The video for the teaparty in Kansas City on Feb. 28th is up at PJTV. It is aptly named Braving the Elements.
The thought occurred to me:No reason we can’t take this for out own.
Mike – I can’t remember which thread I asked about your dad in so I’ll ask again here. How is he? Tell him I say hi! I really miss his postings.
Hi Joy!
Thanks again for asking!
Re remembers people here quite fondly, and talks abt/asks after a few — and you’re one of those.
My answer in the other thread was a rather long OT post, so in consideration of MM I’ll not stink-up her board by replicating my convoluted cacklings…
He’s not doing much of a political stripe right now… he finds writing difficult (fine motor function), and reading the blogs sends him into a funk. He’s basically buried himself The Scriptures & his library — which is pretty good sized. When he & StepMom
PCSmove & they pack *his* library[grin] the count is 500 boxes of books. Most of those (4/5ths) are history and civilization, 2/3rds of those are US History, Military History (prior WWI) and Bios of various Historic Figures. When he’s not reading he’s pushing his rehab. He works atleast 2x as long at rehab than they ask of him — indeed, if StepMom didn’t ride him to rest, I think he’d work himself to collapse. And, if she wasn’t a surgeon (and his wife) I doubt he’d listen… as it is, he won’t listen to anyone else about it.
You’ll find the other news abt Dad commented (I think) at #114: http://michellemalkin.com/2009/03/12/threat-of-card-check-legislation-sends-wal-mart-stock-down/comment-page-2/
Well, its almost 0100h — Good night all!
Mike – Thanks for the reply and link to the other reply!
I have extreme carpal tunnel in my hands so I understand about the typing and writing thing! One reason I don’t do long posts anymore and don’t do many photoshop graphics, although I get inspired enough to do some.
I’m glad to hear he’s up and about, but sorry to hear how disheartened he is. I understand though. It’s pretty amazing to see the overall disinterest in our countries downfall. I cling to the Prophecies and trust in them that our Constitution will be saved.
I’m not surprised at all that he is so well read. His postings showed that. Yours do too. I’m sure your step mom is aware of the Usurper-in-Chief’s latest about making military pay through private insurance for their medical. What an abomination! The only people who have a RIGHT to medical care are our Military!! But I’m not surprised hussein would abandon them in everthing he can.
For your Dad; the 13th Article of Faith and Hymn #124.

The original tea party was anti-tea and involved wholesale destruction of the product.
How about introducing COFFEE as the symbol of the tea parties?
