Threat of card check legislation sends Wal-Mart stock rating down
Way to go, Democrats and President Obama: Carrying Big Labor’s water caused Wal-Mart’s stock to be downgraded:
Citigroup downgraded Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT.N) to “hold” from “buy” saying the proposed card check legislation would increase labor costs and could be a significant drag to earnings for the world’s largest retailer.
“We believe that WMT would be the primary target if EFCA/card check were to be passed,” analyst Deborah Weinswig wrote in a note to clients.
If theunions are successful, the company would have to concede higher wages formore seasoned employees, increase employee benefits significantly, and would experience diminished workforce flexibility, the analyst said.
She cut her price target on the stock to $48 from $53.
“Saving” the economy by strangling it. It’s the Obama way!
***
God help us. It all comes down to Turncoat Caucus member Arlen Specter again:
Right now the GOP is gaining the upper hand in the Senate by drawing moderate Democrats toward their camp, potentially depriving labor of the 60 votes it needs. The Democrats know President Barack Obama cannot afford a big defeat, so they are starting to talk compromise. “I wouldn’t be supportive of what’s introduced, but I’m keeping my options open to see what amendments come forward,” says Senator Ben Nelson (D-Neb.). Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.), who has strong ties to business, has also signaled a desire to bridge the two camps.
…Senator Specter could be key to any deal. At least one GOP vote will be needed for passage—and he’s the only Republican to show any sympathy so far toward card check. While he argues that the time is not yet ripe for a compromise, he comes from a pro-union state and he co-authored a law journal article exploring alternatives similar to some now on the table.

Did you see this? Senate hearing on card check turns into union revival meeting:
Paul Bedard has more on the circus.

He sure is “busy” fixing this economy….
He’s turning it into a gelding.
Collateral damage – mission accomplished.
Do they sell Arugula at Wal-Mart? Didn’t think so…
Yes…waffles too…and Marlboros…
Soon, we’ll all be union success stories…..just like Detroit.
Then we’ll all vote Democrat UNTIL THE END OF TIME.
Nothing collateral about it. Wal-Mart has always been the prime target of the UFCW as well as the Teamsters.
As an aside, if Wal-Mart is unionized, through the UFCW for the stores and the Teamsters for the transport division, it mean-most likely-prices will go up to the point Mrs Twofoot will no longer be able to be a stay at home mom for the kids.
The proposed card check legislation is not only a sop to the union bosses that finance and organize the vote for the Left, not by a long shot. It is very much part and parcel of the Left’s plan to Europeanize America- a gift to Europe’s unions and Leftist. With a less efficient American business Europe’s unions can push further as no longer will America be a haven for capital–they will have no where to go.
Even that Old Leftist Warhorse Gorge McGovern sees Card Check for what it is: Admission that many workers do not want to be unionized and only thuggery will force them into it. The Left really does fear the secret ballot-from Mussolini to John Sweeney of the AFL-CIO Fascist do not assume power so much as take it.
It works so well in France and Britain doesn’t it?

Keep the change-I’ll keep my guns
If Specter turns out to be the deciding vote for this disaster of a legislation, then Steele had better come out “Carvillesque” against these fake republicans. If Steele wants to play nice, then I suggest he pack his crap and go back to being a whore for all the RINO’s. I’m sure DL Hugley would love to have him as a guest again.
Democrats are so in denial about card check. The fact they the call it the “Employee Free Choice Act” is an Obamination. Or oxymoron if you prefer.
But Kirsten whats-her-face wrote an article that appeared in the NY Post yesterday where she shows restrained support for the Employee Extortion Act. I swear I could see her holding her nose as she wrote it.
But the Dems know they need the unions so they’ll sell their mothers into slavery if that’s what it take to get votes.
It’s sickening to watch.
I live in a small town where Wal-Mart is basically the biggest employer in town. Because Wal-Mart has good prices many people shop there just to make ends meet. If Congress pulls this stunt, I cannot even begin to contemplate the effect this will have. These actions are proof that our country is under deliberate attack and it will not stop until our economy and our way of life are destroyed.
I work for the Wal-mart corp and make a pretty decent living. So they go after my employer for being profitable and my stock for positive performance.
Now Arlen Specter is the lynchpin? I’m doomed!
Rooster….Steele will never dis anyone who he thins of as a “moderate” republican. He’s the guy who said “We have to elect more moderates.”
In Steele’s mind… bi-partisan means giving up his principles so Democrats and the MSM will pretend to like him.
There’s ZERO chance of anything else from him. Zero chance.
Well… if Wal-Mart is forced by the O-Regime to go Union… expect those low prices to go up.
Never mind that Wal-Mart is also one of the few places where people can go and get necessities for less than elsewhere…
This is exactly what Obama wants…the end of one of the biggest business success stories in this country. What I don’t understand is, does he not know how much this will hurt the “little people”…the ones who can’t afford to buy anywhere but Wal Mart? If he thinks this will make them more dependent on big government, he is right. But why would those people continue to support him and vote for him? Sorry…I got carried away. For a minute there, I was thinking the poor and middle class weren’t lemmings blindly following Obama off the cliff. I forgot that they wouldn’t dare question the wisdom of their savior. It is really hard to wrap my brain around that kind of thinking. I guess for me, that is a good thing!
Well, Wal-Mart clearly has had little success thus far. Dems can fix that problem.
What’s the opposite of the Midas touch?
Liberals and Islamists are in a race to see which group can get us to the end times quicker. A destroyed economy will make people hunger for a miracle worker to ride in and fix it; Islamists for obvious reasons.
Oh yeah, big time! They will no longer be the place to go, and will steadily decline until they too will need a bail-out. Obama…the big business eating pig. I truly despise that man. And I am starting to think Arlen Sphinchter is my number two choice for a$$hole of the year. I pray he proves me wrong.
Government (n.): A process by which energy is converted into toxic waste.
The businesses have already started to relocate to overseas tax havens.
Democratic policies are business killers.
Lynch–Arlen Specter? See what you started b-cat?
I am guessing Wal-Mart would take the strikes to avoid ballooning benefits and onerous work rules-just a guess.
—
Keep the change-I’ll keep my guns
Correct me if I am wrong but Darling Sphincter would have to have been a conservative/Republican BEFORE he could be a turncoat – right?
Sphinchter=Sphincter
But you know what I mean!
I was born in the town where WalMart began. My mother new Sam well, and grandpa poured the concrete on the 1st store. Both just rolled over in their graves.
Get the rope.
Bi-partisanship = Doing what Democrats want
Compromise = Doing what Democrats want
Specter = Doing what Democrats want
RNC under Steele = Doing what Democrats want
In the bagged salad mixes, they do.
Chappy shops at WalMart? Good deal!
They also sell guns and ammo in many stores.
Speaking of…
Steele’s blog was removed from gop.com. Seems too many conservatives and Republicans were calling for him to step down so it was scrubbed.
No ammo here for over 2 months now.
Hmmm, who’s been talking to Citigroup?
But, but, why would the Obama administration use Brownshirt tactics on Wal-Mart?
After all we know this administration would never do anything so underhanded.
Not a Brownshirt in the bunch.
We’re running low as well, prices have doubled, but guns are well stocked.
He’s the only one so far. The M.O. of “the other Democratic Party” has been to deliver exactly the number of votes necessary to make sure the liberal agenda moves forward. If the Dems crumble on this issue, look for McCain to form another of his bipartisan gangs with Lieberman.
just saw a story on drudge that energy companies are relocating to switzerland to avoid Obama’s grasp…wish I worked for one of them..switzerland sounds good about now..
Obama’s Peudo-Book.. “Field of Dreams…… of my Dead Beat Father”
“If you build it, they will come”.
“…and when they get there, they are going to regulate and unionize it into extinction”.
The first to be unionized will be the illegals who hang out at WalMart day labor centers.
In this one-party world where citizenship does not matter, showing up is all that counts.
They don’t have to be employees to be unionized any more than they have to be citizens to get welfare.
That was my Senator in the video. Old Lamar is finally doing something useful for his own State. He was one of the R’s waving around the Iraq Study Group Report in 2005-6. I will not forget that he ran for the exits on that one.
Corker was pretty good in the Auto-bailout hearings, too. I have my reservations about them both, though.
I still wish I could trade for Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III (R-AL). What a cool name!
This is just as disgusting as the Code Pink appearance at senate hearings.
Obama is arrogant, inexperienced, and dishonest.
Not only will it be a significant drag on earnings, WMT will be forced to raise prices, in turn costing the consumer more $$$ they don’t have right now.
Labor thuggery at its best. I still can’t believe unions are legal in this day and age. Unbelievable.
Maybe there’s something I’m missing.
Obama says the government’s role is to provide health care, education, retirement, housing, and a decent income to all.
So what exactly is the union supposed to do for the worker?
Here’s the ironic part. I have never worked for a company that pushes liberalism so heavily as Wal*mart. There are encouragements to recycle everywhere. They have all types of propaganda being utilized to get us to eat nuts and berries. They even have one of those lighted message boards in the breakroom that spews recycling messages and how healthy we’d all be if we eat sticks and leaves.
They sent out a memo to all employees on Obama being elected. I’m sure GWB inspired no memos.
I guess they figure it will buy them some peace.
Never make peace with them. I for one am ready to fire on Ft. Sumter.
Recommend seeing a scene in the movie, “I Witness”, starring Jeff Daniels. The movie is essentially about a mass murder in Mexico in connection with the Unionization of a U.S. owned plant. The scene is the one where the actually unionization vote occurs. Each employee is required to walk up to a table of “observers” and verbally indicate his choice. One of the observers is the Plant Manager. Meanwhile, as each employee sweats bullets and is an abject cowed state, off to the side union thugs are taking down the names of which employees vote ‘no’ for the union. Talk about being in a vice and getting crushed from both sides.
monte hall, that is my suggestion, if the union thug gets to stand over them while they vote and take names, the company owner should have the same right. but of course that doesn’t fit into the dems definition of fair. let’s ruin another american success story. i read today about numerous oil companies relocating to switzerland because they fear the obama tax and coerce policies. what if walmart relocates to dubai? or does as it did in canada, shut down the store that voted to unionize? yeah, chicago said no to a walmart store, so chicago residents have one less employer. mayor daley, what’s chicago’s unemployment rate? it’s foreclosure rate has skyrocketted.
Monte Hall: you are also describing the 13 1/2-year “pathway to citizenship”.
BTW, there may be an upside to this. Costco is frequently criticized for paying their employees too much and for being too generous with benefits. Yet, they are very successful competing against WalMart’s sweatshop Sam’s Club.
Low prices and better service despite the added costs.
The key is that employee turnover at Costco is virtually zero. Happy,
experienced employees are far more productive than the opposite and they don’t steal as much.
So WalMart may get unionized out of business. That is fine with me. I don’t shop there anyway. Too third world for me.
Obama and his ilk (Soros et al.) don’t want to save our economy as we know it. They want a socialist society and in order to get it, they must destroy capitalism, which is exactly what they are accomplishing. Our economy fails and socialism steps in to save the day. Seriously, we’re the ones who don’t get it. This is actually playing out exactly how he intends. Thank goodness, at this point, everything he is trying to do or doing can be reversed.
Why do I hear the stupidest of voices – that real moron talking like he’s just discovered that poop smells and sticks to your fingers voice – whenever Congress or Obama proposes a “plan” or legislation?
“You know, h’yuck – if we just give the unions control of Walmart – THE ONLY MAJOR RETAILER MAKING A PROFIT & KEEPING PEOPLE EMPLOYED – h’yuck, then them their employees will be better of for the few months before they all get laid off… h’yuck.”

FBI raids office of D.C. CTO, Obama appointee
Federal agents this morning are searching the office Washington, D.C.’s Chief Technology Officer.
The search is part of “an ongoing investigation,” said a spokeswoman for the FBI’s D.C. Field Office, Lindsay Gotwin, said. She declined to comment further on the raid of office, at 1 Judiciary Square…”
The outgoing Chief Technology Officer, Vivek Kundra, was appointed last week Chief Information Officer by the Obama administration

Here and all across the country the John “Reasonable Restrictions” McCain-Barack “Grab Them” Obama campaign started a BIG run on ammo, guns and assorted items. The election of He Whose Middle Name is Hussein supercharged that run. Many stores shelves are bare. Sort of a Stimulus Package as it were
Reloading ammo is a good alternative. You do not need the presses to get a start==hand tap works fine as a starter.
Get this video for an introduction to handloading. There are other good DVDs, Videos and such. My brother and I teach handloading at the local sporting goods store–check and see if there is a class in your area.
God Bless America, Praise the Lord and pass the reload!

Keep the change-I’ll keep my guns
Great, Citi just trying to bring the rest of the market down to their level. As if they have credibility any longer in downgrading or upgrading anyone’s stock.
But Phil – that is a philisophical trap. You assume that they won’t come after (insert your favorite business, institution here). Maybe a far reaching example here but many countries in Europe assumed that Hitler would be satisfied with Poland – but he just kept rolling on.
When these companies are, in essence, forced via regulation (and not market forces) to raise prices, it amounts to an indirect tax on all of us.
As for me and mine – it’s time to fight.
is there a shortage of ammo parts, brass, powder, etc, like there is ammo itself?
Obummer and his band of bumbling buffoons are doing everything they can to strangle what was good about our captialist free market economy. I shop at Walmart but if it gets unionized count me out as a consumer.
This will have unintended consequences when people stop shopping at Walmart and Walmart starts laying off people because they can no longer compete.
Obummer and company really do set out to impress.
To Phil and all the other Geniuses who agree with this:
Except for a couple BIG THINGS, O-Bright-One, at Costco one has to purchase in large quantities – which really means one spends more money in each trip in – and you have to pay a membership fee.
For people who:
Have no room to store huge quantities;
Don’t want to pay “membership fees”;
Are at the end of the month and need only a few things to get to the next paycheck
WalMart makes better sense.
Not everyone is so D*mn hoity-toity that they have that kind of money to spend every week. My son in Kansas with 7 kids to support practically worships Sam…and I LOVE WalMart.
ALL of the WalMarts that I have gone to (Colorado Springs, Orange County (CA), Arroyo Grande (CA), Oxnard (CA), Joplin (MO), Marshalltown (IA), Des Moines (IA) and others were well run, the employees were helpful and the prices were great. And they had more than what I needed.
I am GLAD there is a place for not-so-rich folks to get decently prices, good quality merchandise.
***
Walmart always gives me the most value for my money. The store is always fair to the customer. Sam Walton had the vision to give smaller cities and towns the benefits that large cities get due to large quantity purchasing nationwide.
***
Sam Walton seems to have been a fair person in hiring people from all ethnic and social groups. I seem to remember a statement he made about having his stores employees look like the cities and towns they were located in–in a time of discrimination.
***
Now the democrats / liberals / socialists / marxists / communists and their new leader President Obama (PBUH) want to castigate and penalize good business and social decisions by a good company.
***
I’m with Rush Limbaugh–I WANT THE O’BUMMER’S POLICIES TO FAIL. They are destructive to our economy and national future.
***
John Bibb
***
I second the failure motion, John Bibb.
Not that we have to vote – Obummer is failing fine without our encouragement.
There is here, just the same as ammo.
“And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up.”
Time was when piano wire was used to enforce party discipline. Even the most odious of systems has its good points.
When card check comes in (and I’m hoping it won’t) KY’s Georgetown Toyota Plant may very well check out – probably to Mexico!
That company has been a lifeline to this state, in terms of revenues and attracting other businesses/manufacturing industries, and one of the most lucrative sources of employment we’ve been fortunate to have here in sometime. I can’t figure out why Democrats hate for people to be employed and free of government dependence -
a lot of companies will be checking out of this country…and I don’t blame them…I’d like to too….
I don’t know about you guys, but I am investing in futures of hemp rope, lumber, road tar and chicken feathers. I plan on profiting from all of this.
As will and are many of our wealthier citizens such as retirees and the self-employed who can work anywhere with a phone and internet link. I understand a few central american nations, such as Costa Rica, are active and successful in enticing americans to move there, promoting lower cost of living for a more enjoyable and afordable lifestyle.
Not that I have seen, but just in case I built and stocked a cabinet for same. Remember the Boy Scout Motto:

Keep the change-I’ll keep my guns
The WalMart near me has a number of seniors, several handicapped people & even a partially blind woman who comes to work with her seeing eye dog. How many other companies do that? I suppose Obummer would prefer to have them become dependent on the Gov.
DAD-
is that you?
That does sound familiar, yes it does.

Keep the change-I’ll keep my guns
Well Phil, I don’t think you will be offended if I don’t reference you again.
I don’t shop at Wally World either.
Thats because I don’t have one. I live in rural America. I choose to do that because I have the freedom to believe that God didn’t mean we have to live in ant hills to be worthy.
There isn’t much around me thats city, except, the far reaching union thugs walking around with lead pipes looking for people who aren’t union and liberals who want to control everything that is none of their business. Just think of them as another level of government that you vote for. Consider their dues as being another tax destined for the deep pockets of the bosses and the rest to the well paid for Democrat politicians.
Wal Mart has done more for the citizens providing jobs people want and a better grade of the same products thats priced out of sight for most retired and older citizens by other stores.
I almost had one. I would have liked that.
And therein lies the problem. The heavy hand of an oppressive government micromanaging everything in sight.
We could have it better. Where has freedom gone??????????????????
It is not an accident that one of the only solvent companies in America was making money on the stock exchange yesterday and today goes down because of Union intervention.
For some fishing, camping and hunting supplies – including ammo on-line:

And walmart.com…
Specter’s payoff for betraying his party: betrayal of his state. He got an earmark of 5.5 mil for the Flight 93 memorial, that Pennsylvanians haven’t donated a dime to since Tom Burnett Sr. asked that Tom Jr.’s name not be included.
Thanks to Mr. Burnett’s efforts, all of western PA now knows that the giant crescent (originally called the Crescent of Embrace) remains completely intact in the so called redesign. The Park Service calls it “Circle of Embrace” now, but the circle is still broken, and the unbroken part of the circle——what is symbolically left standing in the wake of 9/11——is still a giant Islamic-shaped crescent, still pointing to Mecca.
Pennsylvanians have voted with their pocketbooks to reject this memorial to the terrorists, but Arlen Specter is determined to cram it down their throats anyway, the same way he helped Obama cram a trillion dollars of socialist pork down America’s throat.
This week over 100 blogs will be putting up our blogburst post about Specter’s betrayal of his home state. Please check it out.
My own view on unions is that if the majority of workers at XYZ Company actually want it, fine. But it should not be forced down their throats with this Orwellian Card-Check legislation.
Nice to know I’m not the only one thinking that far ahead with his investment strategy.
Fortunately, I don’t have to worry too much about Unions at my work. But I will borrow my mother’s strategy if I must:
She announced that she was going to be a Beck Employee at a hospital she worked at. This meant that the Union could not take much money out for her dues and could not use her money for political causes.
The Union kept trying to put pressure on her to change her mind about that. After an hour or so, she made it clear that she was going to use violence as a negotiating tool if they didn’t back off.
Obama must want to destroy the economy, in order to save it.
I read at some point that there is an estimate of about 20,000 terrorists already in America (thanks to open borders, etc). Now, I am beginning to wonder how many patriot militias are beginning to be formed? Word to wise for militias…if you act Muslim or feign Islamic lifestyle, you will get a pass. If you are patriotic Americans, expect the ‘hounds’ (of the Justice Dept.) to be unleashed on you by Democrats. Just wondering when all will be revealed…..? Have a good day!
the only thing the union bosses give a damn about is more union dues.
they dont care if your legally here .
or how long you have to wait to go out on a job {your still paying dues}
its not about choice its about intimidation to force you to join their union and pay dues .
and why would any union support the speaker of the house when she and her family run non union shops?
Of course shareholders will make less money when there are more unions. That doesn’t mean the business is doing worse, it just means the workers are making a little more and investors are making a little less.
But then I don’t expect anyone here to be sympathetic to people who make $9 an hour.
Idiot socialist Jane Hamsher is claiming that WalMart would make more money as a union shop because it would have to charge higher prices to pay higher wages.
Yeah, that worked out great for GM and Chrysler, didn’t it?
what it really means is less people are getting jobs.
yeah they don’t care for the little people like the union thugs who take money from them for their little protection racket.
you’re an idiot.
It is extremely unlikely we will end up with more jobs from instituting card check, but it is guaranteed we will end up with fewer.
Besides Wal-Mart, how many other businesses, especially small businesses, will be forced to close their doors or cut jobs if they are forced to absorb the incremental costs of unionization? This one item alone would add several % points to the unemplyment rate that is already heading to double digits nationwide.
As long as Obama is talking about card check, he cannot, in good faith, talk about creating or even saving jobs.
Good faith? Ooops, please excuse me. For a moment there, I forgot who I was talking about.
So what benefit is the union supposed to provide these people?
Higher wages offset by union dues? Raise minimum wage. Better benefits? Haven’t you heard about health care reform? What can the union do that the government can’t?
Now you’re talking. But unions + big government = double your pleasure. Why have just one when you can get both?
Just kidding. I’m leaving all the moochers to go Galt in Algeria. Better get some Doublemint gum for the cruise.
They’ve stopped selling guns and ammo here. Price for ammunition at the gun stores has gone through the roof since.
I work for Wal*mart. Let us set something straight.
Employees are stockholders. We buy stock and the company buys stock for us. Which makes
patently absurd.
I make WAY more than that. No, I’m not management.
Well, I gotta go to my indentured servitude at Wal*mart. /sarc/
See y’all later.
This has always been directed at Wilmar. Time for lockouts.
Economics 101. Profit is not directly proportionate to direct labor costs. However, cost of goods are and the means the consumer pays. Democrats are against the very people they lie about helping, Walmart shoppers.
Militias? I never heard of such a thing; perhaps some fine fellows meeting to discuss current events, common interests and such. Low profile is the word. These silly souls on TV wearing BDUs and screaming all kinds of nonsense miss the very essence of a militia–low profile, off the radar and never allow yourself to be suckered into an illegal act-kick that fool out; He is either an FBI plant or a house plant (stupid). Ruby Ridge?
If there is a civil break down we are on are own-with some close friends as allies. These Neo-NAZI types are just not helpful, overly loud and we do not mix.
Militias? I never heard of such a thing deusexmachina, just some fine fellows .

Uh, yeah. That’s what they want.
I am confused about this red card legislation. Is it meant to promote red card carrying members to government positions? Does it matter which red card you carry: Mao’s, Castro’s, or Jong’s.

Mao’s, Castro’s, or Jong’s or Hồ Chí Minh‘s for the nostalgic.

How is this crap even legal? Unions should be outlawed. Period. Don’t like it? Don’t work.
About no Ammo at Walmarts. At Walmart the other day, and overheard rumor that some ammunition is being bought (or kept out of our hands) to prevent it from going to owners that Obama is worried about…..the Tea Party folks.
At least a couple of others had heard some similar things….
Whose hands is the ammo going to….maybe Obama’s new Security Corps!!!
I have also seen on several other blogs that had written about this that there is a big increase in gun buy-backs in a bunch of Urban areas. Who are getting their hands on those guns…..maybe also Obama’s new Security Corps!!! or as I’ve seen here, “his Brownshirts.”
Michelle, is Obama getting guns and ammo into the hands of the Black Panthers-KosKids-Bill Ayres Anarchists-Islamists for his fight against us??
If I’m not mistaken, North Korea used Card Check in their recent election… and guess what… the vote was unanimous.., not only that, but they announced that ALL eligible voters participated…
How great is that?
If, Wal-Mart raises its prices to cover the costs of unionization, isn’t it likely that other businesses will raise theirs as well? Maybe it has to do with forced unionization (regulation), but maybe its simply BECAUSE THEY CAN (market forces). If Wal-Mart raises their prices, the other stores can too. So if Wal-Mart was charging $1.99 for an item and raises the price to $2.19, then the store that was selling the same item for $2.19 can raise its price to $2.39. That’s going to ripple through the entire economy.
And having worked in retailing, that’s exactly how it works. Each retailer “shops” his competition and sets prices based on where he fits in the pecking order — Wal-Mart at the low end, Sears / Penney’s / Lowe’s etc. in the mid-range, and specialty shops at the high end.
It would work similarly as to how a raise in the minimum wage works. Bottom end goes up, everyone else has a license (or with wages, expectation) to go up.
Phil, no problem with blowing off Wal-Mart. It’s still a free country in that respect (for now!) But if Wal-Mart unionizes, sooner or later the stores you shop at will be raising their prices, so you’ll end up paying more too.
How sympathetic are you to people who make $9 an hour when some of them are going to lose their jobs because of forced unionization? Not only at Wal-Mart, but at other businesses around the country.
Don’t you liberals ever get tired of @*$%ing things up with unintended consequences.
RSS, given that there are companies that will simply go to friendlier countries, how is that going to benefit anyone here? What good is it to be a Union employee when you don’t have a job?
And let me ask you something else. Back in August 2001, a letter was sent to Mexico about labor practices. The last paragraph said this:
Why is it good enough for Mexico but not good enough for the U.S.?
When we all are hungry, we will sign up. The sword of nationalization will not stop hacking until the communists have all aspects of our lives in their pockets. When the grocery stores get nationalized is when we are done. Hungry people will do anything.
