    In other words, she just came out and ADMITTED her responsibility for pushing subprime loans of the lowest standards. I actually live on the street where her “meeting” will be held. Her meetings are pretty standard… she bloviates, then she selects a few shills to ask rhetorical questions that serve no purpose but to praise her, and then she goes home. I once asked her a real question, and rather than answering it, she asked me where I lived. Answering her, she said “well you ain’t even in my district so you should count yourself lucky you don’t have to face the hardships black folk have to face.” considering my next-door-neighbor IS in fact in her district while I am not, I think having security escort me out was a bit ridiculous. Never did get an answer to my question.

    Not to split hairs but actually “it had been criticized by regulators in 2007 for failing to lend enough money to lower-income residents….” according to the NYT (http://tiny.cc/wVGLD.)

    One has to wonder why, in the eons that she has “served” her district, “black folk” are still facing all of those hardships. I would be willing to speculate that her district has never seen any significant improvement in conditions. Kinda like the tenements “served” by Obama in Chicago.
