I have a question about Barry introducing Michelle to single motherhood.

It’s a feminist thing. A lot of married women like to whine about being “single mothers” when their husbands work long hours, golf, or traveling frequently for business, and feminists as well as the Oprah-type media have convinced them that they’re sad, sorry victims of evil patriarchy*. Nevermind they’re still cashing his paychecks, beneficiaries of his life insurance, and telling the kids “wait until your dad gets home!” They’re single mothers!

Barry campaigning = poor beleagured Michelle left to raise her kids alone (on only his $400k/year, with free room and board). All women are victims, especially women living comfortable upper-class lives.

I would love to see real single mothers–of the widowed or abandoned variety, not the “choice” kind–start beating the daylight out of everyone who perpetuates this view, but they’re too tired/busy to fight.

* Interestingly, spouses of deployed soldiers don’t get the “oh, you poor dear, let us help you” treatment. Which crankifies me further, since military deployment, esp. to a combat theater, is nothing like going out of town for a week to a conference.

Naw, he’s just frustrated with his own stupidity. Ever notice how troll’s personalities cycle. They become more and more toxic with their ever increasing personal frustration? MistressJustice was a good example of this. She’s was pretty even until a week of commenting would result in a heightened sense of frustration and she’d go postal and sound completely insane every Friday? By Monday, she’d had vented her frustration and sounded almost normal again?

Rather, he takes away from this site, so he does contribute, but it’s more to the negative side of the equation.
