Planting the seeds of the next shamnesty

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 17, 2009 04:40 PM

The Hill reports that President Obama will “huddle” with Hispanic Democrats tomorrow to talk “immigration reform.”

Translation: The seeds of the next shamnesty are being planted:

Hispanic Democrats will have their first West Wing meeting with President Obama on Wednesday morning to discuss immigration reform, according to Democratic sources.

The meeting is the first face-to-face sit-down between Obama and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) since the president was sworn-in. Some in the CHC have recently expressed frustration that Obama has not talked more about immigration in his first two months in office.

Immigration reform is front-and-center on the group’s agenda.

CHC is eager to hear the president’s ideas and proposals for tackling immigration reform, not only as it relates to a comprehensive reform bill that could provide a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented workers but also as it relates to rolling back Bush administration policies of raiding workplaces and detaining and deporting thousands of illegal workers.

CHC members came away from a recent meeting in the Capitol with Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano — a day after her Senate confirmation hearing — very encouraged that the workplace raids policy would be fully reviewed, and possibly altered.

Obama is on board. His DHS secretary is on board. The question is not whether, but when. He spoke to the massive illegal alien shamnesty march in Chicago in 2006, where he boasted of standing “shoulder-to-shoulder” with the open-borders mob. Here’s a flashback:

Attorney General Eric Holder is using the drug violence in Mexico to “confuse and mislead” Americans in an attempt to reinstate the expired federal assault weapons ban, gun advocates say.

And to add to this bullcrap, I saw Wesley Clark on tv last night saying that we need to reinstate the assault weapons ban to “help the Mexican border problem” because so many “machine guns” are being illegally transferred across the border to drug lords. This is so much bullcrap, I cannot believe anything BUT that Wesley is on Obama’s payroll. The last thing Wesley Clark said in the interview was that “if people want machine guns, let them join the Army”. It is testimony to the abrupt drop in a former 4 star general’s intelligence when he does not know the difference between a semi-automatic rifle and a machine gun. God help us.

I would also like to thank Obama and his minions for helping re-arm America. They threaten to take away our right to bear arms and what happens, more people buy guns and stock up on ammunition. So, keep up the good work Mr. Prez. I made a visit to our local Walmart a few days ago. The shelves were stripped of ammo. Also, the major importers and even domestic producers of military rifles are so stripped of stock and so back-ordered that most are not even accepting new orders at this time. So keep preaching all of your gloom and doom for American, and we will all keep buying guns and ammunition. Why, because you are scaring us you fool.

And the link goes to the post where Obama is quoted as saying,
    “I remember May Day 2006″.

    May Day?

How much more of a Communist give away can you get than by calling it “May Day”?

May Day is synonymous with International Workers’ Day…

International Workers’ Day (a name used interchangeably with May Day) is a celebration of the social and economic achievements of the international labor movement. May Day commonly sees organized street demonstrations and street marches by millions of working people and their labour unions throughout most of the countries of the world — though, as noted below, rarely in the United States and Canada.

International Workers’ Day is the commemoration of the Haymarket Massacre in Chicago in 1886, when Chicago police fired on workers during a general strike for the eight hour day, killing a dozen demonstrators. In 1889, the first congress of the Second International, meeting in Paris for the centennial of the French Revolution and the Exposition Universelle, following a proposal by Raymond Lavigne, called for international demonstrations on the 1890 anniversary of the Chicago protests. These were so successful that May Day was formally recognized as an annual event at the International’s second congress in 1891. The May Day Riots of 1894 and May Day Riots of 1919 occurred subsequently. In 1904, the International Socialist Conference meeting in Amsterdam called on “all Social Democratic Party organizations and trade unions of all countries to demonstrate energetically on May First for the legal establishment of the 8-hour day, for the class demands of the proletariat, and for universal peace.” As the most effective way of demonstrating was by striking, the congress made it “mandatory upon the proletarian organizations of all countries to stop work on May 1, wherever it is possible without injury to the workers.”

How the Democrat[ic Socialist Communist]s think:

Raids against so-called illegal immigrants often also impact legal immigrants and members of families that have been citizens for many generations.

The U.S. has large communities of immigrant workers. These workers are often super-exploited, working in the most primitive, unhealthy, non-union conditions. Each immigrant group faces its own national oppression, and many face racial oppression as well. Basic human and labor rights are often denied them. Thousands of undocumented, mainly agricultural workers crossing the border with Mexico are subjected to the murderous policies of the Border Patrol and racist vigilantes. They are hounded and chased down like criminals. Hundreds have tragically died or been murdered, especially in border areas, for simply trying to unite their families or find a better life. Many immigrants come with advanced degrees but are relegated to the lowest paid jobs, such as housekeepers, street vendors, taxicab drivers, kitchen crews, and similar occupations.

Latinos are extremely diverse culturally and in terms of national origin. For most Latinos, the common use of Spanish and the shared experience of discrimination in the U.S. are forging unity among them. At the same time, some immigrants from Latin America speak an indigenous language as their first language or do not speak Spanish at all. Over half of all Latinos in the U.S. are foreign-born and face discrimination as immigrants, including Brazilians whose language origins are Portuguese.

    BACKDOOR AMNESTY

    HR 264

    Title V Section 501

ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS ON THE BASIS OF EARNED ACCESS TO LEGALIZATION

‘Sec. 245B. (a) In General- The Secretary of Homeland Security may adjust the status of an alien to that of an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence if the alien–

    ‘(1) was physically present in the United States for a continuous period of not less than 5 years immediately preceding the date on which this provision was enacted and has maintained continuous physical presence since then;

    ‘(c) Admissible as Immigrant-

‘(1) IN GENERAL- The alien shall establish that the alien is admissible to the United States as immigrant, except as otherwise provided in paragraph (2).
‘(2) EXCEPTIONS- The provisions of paragraphs (5), (6)(A), (6)(B), (6)(C), (6)(F), (6)(G), (7)(A), (9)(B), and (9)(C)(i)(I) of section 212(a) shall not apply in the determination of an alien’s admissibility under this section.

212a6A is illegal entry. 6B, C and so on are fraudulent documents and false claiming of US citizenship.

Basically if they hide out for 5 years, the secretary can adjust illegal aliens to legal residents.

    Backdoor amnesty.

There’s more fun stuff in the bill, too, like adjustments of what crimes will keep someone out of the country.

    Also:

    More HR 264:

Section 622 removes mandatory detention for expedited removals. Rather than the illegal alien going to jail, many classes of aliens (those with family, etc. – plus a catch all of “(G) Other groups designated in regulations promulgated by the Secretary.”

What that means in practice is that when someone is given an expedited removal – a deportation – instead of being held in jail until their final hearing by a judge, they’re given “walking papers”. This is what used to happen for non-Mexican illegal aliens. They’d be given their papers and be told to show up at court to be determined ineligible and deported.

Instead, they took the walking papers and took off. Section 622 makes it so they can all do that!

And all they have to do is hide out for 5 years and they can be adjusted to residents or citizens.

    http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-264

According to govtrack, it’s been sent to committee.

We’re only about two short steps away from backdoor AMNESTY.
